Fizzler's Armor hunt

"And the door in front of me will open" Fizzler said out loud, practicing his powers on a wooden shop door. He needed to master his wordplay if he wanted to survive. He also needed the best armor money could afford.

Responding to his voice, The Armory door opened. Fizzler was so pleased with himself that he didn't notice when the door stopped opening after an inch or so, forcing him to ram face first into the hard oak. Fizzler quickly made a mental note to specify how much the door should open on his next attempt before approaching the shopkeeper. Putting his money down on the countertop, he looked around for the shopkeeper and got straight to the point.

"What is the best armor I can buy with 200 gold?"

Edward raised an eyebrow in utter surprise upon the entry of his newest customer, wondering if he should be scared, amused or annoyed for having to serve yet another strange character. He had to deal with a monster of a man who could make items disappear with a wave of his hand... And now, a person who felt like a magic user that was stranger than the norm.

Just my luck... The Storekeeper groaned to himself. But a customer was still a customer.

"Two hundred Crowns, huh? Personally, I think an iron hauberk should fall into that general range. If you want ones in steel, the ones you can afford are studded leather brigandines or a steel plate over the top half of your torso. I'll see if we have any of that in stock if you would like to test some of them out."

[Fizzler]

After a bit of thought, Fernendez simply said "Brigandine, please"

He didn't dare say more, because he never knew when his saying something could cause something bad to occur.

Edward nodded.

"Right, sir. I'll bring one out for you to try on."

The store keeper fished a steel-lined brigandine out from the storage room and returned to the counter, placing the piece of flexible armor on the table.

"Here you are."

[Fizzler]

Fizzler put the armor on andsmiled when it actually fit him.

"Exactly 200? Or is it less?"

"Two hundred gold pieces total, sir."

Edward waited patiently for the payment but his hand was already scribbling down the purchase. He would rather not have to wait for the kid to pay up, but there was nothing much to do besides giving in to patience.

[Fizzler]

Fizzler emptied the gold onto the counter and smiled.

"Thank you." he said to the shopkeep as he strode out the door. this time making sure to open it the normal wway. He had already bumped into it once, he didn't want to do so again.

"What a strange guy..."

Edward wiped a bead of sweat from his head before taking care of the customer's payment.

What a strange day it was...
