A busy day awaited the Patriarch of Lodge Bladestorm. House of Sora. The Power Group threatened to slip into the shadows at the vanishing of their current leaders Seti Dylan and Rajani Aishwara. House of Sora was left in an uproar as what to do next. Leadership was needed. A new generation of members needed to take over for the old leaders in order for the House of Sora's future to be secured. The world was in a poor state of affairs. Xem'Zund's forces in Raiaera leveled that continent and left the global economy in shambles with a never ending war against all those who opposed him. In Salvar, St. Denebriel's cathedral plotted a coup de tat against the current existing government. The church prevailed, but outside involvement was inevitable.
Corone was locked in an endless civil war with itself. Dheathain. Alerar. The global world war engulfed all who caught wind of it. Destiny inevitably altered forever. For Dyne Corona, his involvement in Salvar's plight yielded its own special set of rewards. Informants. A workforce. Most importantly, property to call his own. Operating out of Salvar, the Patriarch of Lodge Bladestorm quickly developed a reputation as a force within Corone's underworld. His former involvement with The Syndicate became legendary.
Now a member of the Corone Rangers, Dyne Corona currently trained with the Monks of Ai'Bron to keep his skills sharp.
And that's where Alberdyne Cormyr currently was. A dojo. One of the many combat academies in Radasanth, this one called HeavenlY Sword Dojoand was sponsored by the Monks of Ai'Bron. Many of the students there worshiped the Thayne Lord Draconus for he favored warfare and conflict. Dyne himself followed the Thayne Lord Khal'Jaren. Though he respected all of the Thaynes. All except one. The hated enemy of the Inquisition and the Monks of Ai'Bron. The Thayne known as N'Jal. Dyne knew very little about that Thayne, but he was gaining a lot of understanding about his Patron Thayne. Khal'Jaren. Patron of knowledge, research, and science.
After his routine workout, the skilled aikido warrior was done for the day. It was time to take care of the business of the House of Sora. In the past few months, ever since his involvement with the Conquest Trials, and the war in Salvar, Dyne was a different person. His romantic involvement with fellow member, Eyanie, also served to change the man dramatically. No longer considering himself a boy, he was now a man. A man with great responsibilties and personal influence.
With a towel wrapped around his neck, the warrior walked over to where a bucket of water waited. He lifted the bucket and splashed the cold substance atop his head and let the liquid trickle down his well structured body. Dyne was one of the Monks of Ai'Bron star pupils and had achieved the title of a layman monk. Sweat trickled down his exposed body parts. He wore the combat gi of the Monks of Ai'Bron. A white uniform made out of simple cloth with the various markings of a Monk. Adorned on the back of the shirt was the symbol for the current dojo that Dyne attended regularly.
All around him, students were sparring and fighting against one another with various degrees of skill. Each of the sparring students wore belts around their waist of differing colors and markings. This revealed their degree in a complex ranking system. Dyne's belt was yellow with several stripes. He'd not yet achieved the rank of a master Monk. He'd not yet earned the right to start obtaining First Dan. Dyne was part of a complex military system that stood solid for thousands of generations. Radasanth was merely the central point of academics for the warrior Monks. Dyne Corona was only one warrior out of many. One piece of the storm that was the Monks of Ai'Bron.
Dyne stood at a height of five feet and weighed approximately two hundred pounds of raw muscle. His hair was bright red, long, and tied back into a flowing ponytail. Dyne's brilliant green eyes were currently protected by the simple spectacles he wore low to the bulge of his nose. He was sweating, and he currently wiped the sweat away from the back of his neck. He was eager to get back to his partner, Eyanie, when a group of individuals entered the dojo. Not stopping their current training, the warrior monks ignored the incoming strangers. Only one man besides Dyne Corona stared at the approach of the interlopers. That was the dojo's headmaster. A man named Hagen Blaax.
Currently a master of the combat arts, Hagen rose to his level of skill at an early age. He focused primarily on symbology, chi manipulation, and physical mastery of the combat arts. He was expert with many melee weaponry and armor. He was also a skilled horseback rider, a skilled outdoorsman, and was a crafty individual manipulating the elemental chi. A member of the House of Sora, Hagen was a man of considerable height. Not a native Coronian at all, he was a human that hailed from Alerar's districts. His skin was slightly darker tone with many markings dedicated to his patron deity, Lord Hromagh the Strong.
In fact, a complex altar with various homages and trinkets related to Hromagh the Strong, and his sibling, Lord Draconus. The dojo was a wide and long chamber approximately five hundred feet by five hundred feet with a high ceiling. Hagen sat in a makeshift throne at the head of the dojo and right before the alter. Scrolls were laid out before the students depicting the rules of the dojo and many techniques of the martial schools. Aikido was just one fighting style imported from Akashima that was available for students to learn at will and for a small pittance of gold required as the entry fee. Hagen had blue eyes that contrasted sharply against his brown skin and was completely bald. He wore many necklaces and trinkets around his neck that were various artifacts of power. Some were just amulets of sentimental value to the warrior.
It happened all at once. The warriors drew weapons from there scabbards and quickly surrounded sparring students. Lessons were abruptly stopped as Senpai and apprentices were quickly forced to stop. Weapons were pointed at necks, and warriors quickly disabled with some mysterious fighting style that wasn't being taught in the dojo. Dyne turned an eye towards the strangers and quickly went to grab his plynt sword from his scabbard but a nearby warrior pointed the very tip of his blade towards Dyne's neck.
There were approximately fifty strong of the warriors. Wearing mysterious armor designs that Dyne never saw before, the warriors were all tall and upright. Colored black and purple, the armor designs were exotic and seemed to be made of powerful metals. Dyne doubted that his measely plynt sword would penetreate such a mysterious material. His rifle was in the dressing area, so that was completely out of the question. He saw that the leader of the soldiers had a different marking than the ones who were his underlings.
Golden horns jutted from either side of his helmet. Dyne eyed the masked warrior before him. He couldn't see any markings that were different than those of the other soldiers all around him. Lowering his sword, Dyne quickly sheathed his weapon and raised his arms knowing full well the superior power that these warriors wielded. Elemental chi flowed from their body a thick blackness hanging like a curtain around them. Dyne saw that the leader had a particularly strong aura.
"Master Blaax I presume." Came the deep voice of the individual. It was enhanced to sound much deeper than a normal humanoid was capable of speaking. There was an echo to his voice. "What is the meaning of this!?" Master Blaax asked, as he stood up from the chair preparing himself to enter combat position. "I would not do that if I were you. Your skill is well known even to us." The warrior said to Hagen. "We have come prepared." One of the soldiers took out a device from their personal packs. Turning it on, the thing glowed and released a quickly traveling field of energy across the air within the chamber. The emptiness within the room suddenly developed a flaring purple glow. "Attempt to use your chi now, warrior." The enemy taunted.
Hagen responded by trying to call forth his vast reservoires of power. A cloud of energy appeared around the well trained Monk, and then the cloud quickly faded away becoming nothing more than a dim light. "WHAT!? How can this be?" Hagen wondered. The enemy leader looked at Hagen and laughed. "We are prepared for an encounter with the Monks of Ai'Bron. We've come for the one known as Alberdyne Cormyr. His capture is our goal. He is of great use to our benefactors." The warrior said calmly revealing their agenda.
Dyne looked at the leader of the mysterious warriors and felt anger in his body. "Tch." He voiced out calmly. The warrior standing before him kept his attention on Dyne's face. "I am Alberdyne Cormyr."
