Nimis Gulamet
05-31-08, 08:56 AM
Name: Nimis Gulamet
Race: Arch-Demi
Age: Eternal
Gender: Male
Hair Color: Bald
Eye Color: Black with red speckles
Height: 5’2”
Weight: 350 pounds
Occupation: Consumed by Gluttony

Personality: Nimis (or Nim) is usually a jolly fellow, enjoying life to its fullest. He is a constant eater, nearly always found with a roast turkey leg, a haunch of ham, or a thick-cut steak in his meaty hand. Because of this, his hands are greasy and his speech is usually slightly garbled. When angered (or when there is no more food) Nim goes into a blind rage, destroying whatever changed his mood for the worse.

Appearance: Nim’s wings are hilariously small for his massive body. From tip to tip, they measure a meager 4’8”. When folded on his back, they rise to the same height as his head and the tips fall just below his shoulder blades. He wears a creamy colored robe wrapped around his bulging stomach which falls just above his ankles. Part of the robe drapes over his shoulder, securing it snugly. On his feet, he wears a pair of brown leather sandals.

History: Nimis lived in heaven, doing nothing very different from a typical angel. However, one day his good friend Aurorael Olzual was banished. This made Nim very sad and he began eating to cope with the grief. Years later, he had nearly tripled his weight and was shunned by many of the other angels. However, one day Aurorael returned, telling Nim that he had power beyond Nim’s wildest dreams. Nim accepted.

God saw what had happened and took immediate action, banishing Nim, Aurorael, and five other corrupted angels to the far corners of Earth. He then sealed the gates of heaven to the seven, who were now branded as the Arch-Demi. As Nim’s punishment, God secured a large ball and chain to his left ankle. The chain is approximately ten feet long and the ball weighs nearly one hundred pounds. Angered at this added insult, Nim began sulking again since he was separated from his friends for a second time.

Currently, Nim is waiting in the frozen plains of Salvar for Aurorael to find him. His power was broken when God banished him and so his abilities are far diminished from what they should be. He hopes that Aurorael will be able to fix this, or at least have some idea for where to go next. For now, he visits taverns and waits.

Skills:

Alignment Shift: He has the ability to change between his demon and angel side. Angel Side: Nim has 1.5x the endurance of a normal human, but only .8x the strength. He appears much like a normal angel, just thrice the weight. He can use several abilities in his angelic form:
(1) Weightlessness- Nim can make the ball and chain attached to his ankle seem like it’s not even there. This provides him with increased agility for a time.
(2) Breakfast of Champions- Nim can produce mana from thin air, providing himself (and only himself) with nourishment.
Demon Side: Nim has 1.5x the strength of a normal human, but only .8x the endurance In this form his features are distorted; his teeth sharpen to file-like points, his eyes glow red, his skin mottles into a blotchy green/blue hue, his nose shrinks back into his face, and his nails grow to four inches long. He can use several abilities in his demonic form:
(1) Ground Pound- Nim leaps into the air, striking the ground with his butt on his descent. The subsequent shockwaves ripple the earth slightly, possibly throwing enemies off balance.
(2) Whirling Dervish- Using his ball and chain, Nim can whip around, attacking any in a ten foot radius for moderate damage. He cannot use this for too long as it still makes him dizzy.

Chain Fighting: In his angel form, Nim is below average in combat. However, in his demon form, Nim is above average.

Flight: Nim’s powers of flight were less than stellar even before he was banished. His prodigious weight and tiny wings let him leap ten feet into the air, but cannot support his body weight for true flight. However, they do slightly slow his fall. (Used in both forms)

Equipment:

Ball and Chain: Currently attached to his left ankle, the steel chain is approximately ten feet long while the steel ball is three feet in diameter and weighs one hundred pounds.

Extra Chain: Somewhere in Salvar, Nim found a length of steel chain (around eight feet long) that he uses to fight with.
