I've been talkin' with Witchblade about helping out the community in some way and I've decided that the people should get a choice on the forums aesthetic value.

So - I've been doing some template hunting and these are some of the one's I thought were cool. I noticed that the Dark went over really well, so I've been hunting for darker templates.

Let's work with these for now. Then we'll see what else we can do.
When you vote - note whether you'd like to see colors and which ones.

I can't see the first 2 as anything bigger than a thumbnail without signing up for the forum and I don't really like the look of the other 2. I'm sure that if you made skins or found skins elsewhere that enough people like, I'm sure Serilliant will add them.

Click on the Original Link - then look down to where it says Preview and click that Link and the entire forum will change to the view you selected.

I like Darkness the best. I would actually use it over the forum default if it were installed.

I'll be working with the moderation and administration to come up with some nice graphics to go along with the themes that people ask for. <3

When I pushed Exodyus (my forums), I ran with ONE template and several colored versions of that theme so that people could use Green, Blue, Red, or Orange on the black theme.

I'm not suggesting that though, because everyone is spread so far across the board with these other diverse themes.

But it's narrow and WAY too busy for such a small template.

I liked Darkness and the Tech one. Like Valanthe I'd even use Darkness instead of Default, which I use now, if we had it.

I don't really like any of them. USFTECH is way too futuristic for what is largely a fantasy environment. Darkness suffers from the same problem, and feels a bit too tech-y to me (e.g. the plastic buttons). BlackIce and Bubbles aren't bad, but I don't find them terribly compelling either.

So - what do you think, Seri?

If we take the most popular of the poll and add the template to the forum?
It's not hard to upload and implement, I know that much with my forum experience.

And then I'll work on some cool buttons or something to bring it back to a fantasy level and I'll poll again on which button sets people like?

Darkness is vetoed on the basis of its use of copyrighted imagery and its layout being inconsistent with some of the custom hacks we've done on the other templates. If you're interested in the coloration, I would recommended basing your style off of bp-brown (which is just Darkness without the surrounding image) and customizing the other graphics as you wish. Once that is done, we can go from there.

MMkay. Changing the bronze color scheme is such a nuisance though. :(
