hey. I have no plot ideas right now, because i do not know who it is that i am roleplaying with. once i know what characters there are to work with, then we can start talking plot. so, once three more people express interest of doing an RP, this thread is closed. first come, first serve. so, who's interested?

Maybe we could go after the classic borderline cliche route and go after a treasure on some forgotten island, competing with an infamous band of pirate rivals for said treasure.

I've been wanting to do something based on that song. I can tweak it to make it some sort of a seagoing adventure, unless your up for a land treck. But listen to the song first, and then weigh in with your ideas.

....okay. this plot in the song is UBER cliche, but it does give me a SLIGHT idea...though, not sure how to work the vagabond in, and that wandering swordsman is out of the picture now, but still...

So, i'm not really sure about this idea, but here goes:

So, vagabond and knight are both on a ship going somewhere, for their respective reasons, when the ship is attacked and looted by my lovely little pirate...and is about to leave(with hostages for ransoming as well, the knight being one of them, and the wanderer is gonna have to give a reason to be taken along too, but not sure) when ANOTHER pirate ship intercepts them demanding their loot and hostages. my pirate protests because its one of those tacit rules not to intercept a fellow pirate, some long distance fighting goes on until it pulls up beside the Shadowmast and they grab her first mate by chance, and say to exchange the loot and hostages for him, since the first mate was acting really protective of her they assumed he was close to her(which he is, to an extent). She asks if there is anything else that she could exchange, and the captain says herself and half the loot, to which she agrees. Her first mate goes on board, and when the ship is far away, it is getting close to night, when the ship is really hard to track if its following. The first mate goes back and immediately demands that since she spared those two from being captured, they help to get her back. While on the ship, she fights to get herself out, and by the time they come the crew is already struggling some, so she joins them, and put the crew in too bad a shape to get to them. Since the knight and wanderer helped to get her out, she decides to let them go at the next port.

...how's that sound? if you REALLY want her to be captured on a dragon, we'll name the other pirate ship the Leviathan or something.

I couldn't listen to the song for more than 15 seconds, but I like your idea. I spose you could reason taking me hostage with a simple " just bring em' along. we'll have em swab the deck " etc etc.

yeah, but we have people on deck for that. you could volunteer yourself maybe? but why? maybe as a drifter, you just wanted to go somewhere new so you lied and said you were a lord?

Hmm, this could be a way of getting into my next quest...

Rahegalhoff is sailing to a small island on the outskirts of Scara Brae, where a secluded branch of the monks he originally trained with dwell. Seeking resolution to his past he heard they can send the living to the otherside and bring them back. So he wants them to send him to The Anti-firmament so he can find his wife and son, both killed in the same attack on his farm. First to say goodbye, and two to see if they know anything about the knight in black armor that did the foul deed. He doesn't find them he finds the Carnival of Lost souls instead, but that's another story, and that's why he's on the ship, that's where he's sailing. The whole quest idea sounds alright to me.

Well being that this particular character is mostly a coward, i could probably pull the whole begging for my life thing, asking ya'll to take me with you instead of leaving me to die with the ship im on. as far as why im sailing on that particular ship, well im a drifter, so thats pretty much that.

EDIT: Another thing to keep in mind is that in order to speak, this character has to whisper, lest he blow out your ear drums. So that whole deal might be a bit unsettling for some of your crew, given that most typical pirates are suprstitious.

i can see that working with the wanderer, cause actually we have no intention of killing ht other people just taking what's valuable. if they have fresh fruit, we take for our consumption. what level of travel boat is this? peasant? luxury?

well, Raggy doesn't care, so really it depends on the rest of you. His main concern is getting to the island, he doesn't care what kind of ship it is, so long as he gets to the island.

Seems likely it should be a peasant ship, given that <--- has no money.

And in order to go along with Dest's story, it'll prolly have to begin in Corone and take place between the Islands of Corone and Scara Brae...i think.

or we could just have it take place in Scara Brae since that's where the ship is bound. i mean, unfortunately there is no 'middle of the ocean' area to rp :P

Well, taking into account it's rahegalhoff who charters the ship to take him to the island inbetween Scara Brae and Corone in the first place, it should probably be me, followed by He'll scream since he gets passage on the ship for his own reasons, then followed by Mithra since it's her that's robbing us blind.

Not that we should enforce a posting order or anything, that's just how it crosses my mind as being logical.
