Well I've had this idea in my head aging for a while, to create a new lore for Althanas. Since I've hit my summer vacations I already started to work on it I have the core idea and the general myths of the gods in my head already.

I am just wondering if anyone, those people that work with the canon that could give me general feedback, or just anyone, who would like to lend me a hand on editing it and helping me plan some things.

Cannon? You mean those things that shoot iron balls using gunpowder?

*Insert lol-spamming frenzy*

Anyways, hit me on AIM in a few hours. I can give you some info on Akashima canon lore once I finish some work over here, Nyan. :)

Well I gave you a bit of help some time ago, but I'd suggest disclosing a bit of what you have planned so that people can actually give you some sort of feedback.

Right now, considering I do know a bit about your ideas, I'd suggest not following word for word the usual template of: Original being/notions (Gaia, Chaos, etc.) give birth to Gods, who proceed to ally with or antagonize one another, undergo a scission and use the world as their warzone. You can base it off of this, of course, but some sort of unique twist to it would be interesting.

Take the Lovecraftian Mythos, for example, which was basically making light of the above template of gods. The Erikson Mythos has people being able to ascend into Godhood, but it all works in a complex system that still somehow makes sense, and doesn't give each individual any measure of omnipotence.

You can have your pantheon be a secretive one, or have it be an easily accessible one. As a note, integration into the Canon isn't something you should aim for, and it's not really a necessary step either. If people are interested by this lore of yours and you allow them to use it, then there's absolutely no problem. Plus, a lot of Canon stuff isn't used a lot, so it's not some sort of status symbol for popularity.

I'd like to be able to right up stuff on the lore of my gods too, for other people to use. Would it go into like the role player's corner? I have the whole shebang figured out. It's a dualistic system, and It's going to figure heavily into my future here, so some sort of a refrence thread might be nice for everyone else who doesn't have/regularly use Telepathy to read my mind.

Oh noes, I've opened a Pandora's Box haven't I?

Pardon my french, that was a really bad first post.

Either way I am not hoping for it to be sticky'ed or accepted of what have you, I'll just be there for anyone who wants to use it, so I am not really looking for some sort of recognition. Heck I know how well is Althanas attached to the Thayne lore.

Right now I am jut working on it to kill some time.
