New Friends, New Beginnings

[Dedalous]

I had just finished getting my passport checked to enter this country of new possibilities, and was getting to know the city surrounding the citadel. As I was heading back to my room at the Silver inn, I felt a small, sharp object pressed into my spine. As this was happening, I thought “Crap, and I left my bow and katana at the inn.”
Following that thought, I heard a rough voice say “Come with me and I might let you keep your spleen.”
Allowing him to push me into a dark alleyway, my mind swam with defensive possibilities. I could make a break for it, but what if the thing I had pressed to my spine was a crossbow, then I would be dead before I could reach the end of the alley. I decided to try to beat the crap out of him then make a run for it.
We reached the end of the alley, and he backed away from me, saying, “Give me all of your coin and jewelry.” I decided then to make my move. I did a spin and a front flip, landing right in front of him, and came up with a strong chop to the base of his neck. Unfortunately, he dodged it, coming up into a defensive stance, prepared for my next move. Then, he charged me. I managed to wrench his wrist to the point of him dropping the knife he held.
I then came at him with a left fake, and struck with my foot at his kidneys. He doubled over in pain, and I took my chance to deliver a chop to the back of his neck, knocking him unconscious. He crumpled, and as I surveyed my surroundings, I saw to my dismay, another person standing in the alley. I jumped up to a ready stance, and prepared for the next attack.

[Kohaku Ryuu]

Kohaku, on his way back to his room at the Silver Inn, was taking the long way. He had only been in the great city for a short while, and still had so much to see. But, what he didn't want to see was this young lady being pulled into a dark alley. He had just rounded the corner and saw the knife in the guy's hand.

At that instant, he ran towards the alley, his hands on his swords, ready to take the man from behind. But, it surprised him to see the girl knocking out the man when he rounded the corner. But, he soon realized what this looked like for him, hands on his swords, cutting off her only escape point.

Well, he slowly advanced, slowly taking his hands off his swords. He decided to say something before he got too close. ”Hey, don't worry, I'm not with him...actually, I saw him take you back here, and I was coming to offer my assistance, but it looks like I'm too late. My name is Kohaku.” He walked over to her and offered her a hand in greeting.

But, he was interrupted by a small fox demon landing on his head, it's five tails spread out like a fan. “Ah, this is Kunu, my fox demon.” he said, and re-extended his hand in greeting.

I ran through the possibilitys, and eventually, began to relax, because the man called Kohaku apparently had no ill intent for me. I allowed my wings, which I had been holding tight to my back, to relax. I spread them a little, showing them off some, and advanced toward this stranger. I also extended my hand and grasped his in a firm handshake, and said "I am Dedalous Rearon, and I thank you for your good intentions, but as you can see, I have this jerk well under control. I'm boarding at the Silver Inn, if you would like to come with me," and following that statement, I started walking toward the mouth of the alley. As we walked along the streets, I tried to explain my situation to Kohaku.
"You see," I said, "I just escaped from the Strong Arm Gang, one of the most powerfull and influential gangs in this area. I was high up in their ranks when I escaped, basically giving them a major slap in the face, and they want me back. Bad. But I don't want to go back, ever. That thug that I just took care of was one of them."
I took a breath, and continued. "I would appriciate it if you would accompany me on my advetures, but I must warn you that you would be in severe danger even being around me." Finaly, we reached the Inn, and, entering, we sat down at the nearest empty table, and I asked, "So, will you do it?"
BTW, dont be afraid to add your own action and stories to the thread when you think it is appropriat, it's no fun when I know everyting that is coming except what you will do. So feel free to add to it, and if you want, i can PM a coppy of my idea for the plot, so you can try to stay in the plot
