No this is not a pity Oren thread. I could careless about whether you care or not, but this might pique your interest, and I'd like to know what you think/whether you've seen something like this/ probably you have something to share as well.
How many of you cross the street every day without a care in the world? I'm pretty sure most of you have done it all your lives without thinking. I suggest you start fucking thinking because this might or has actually happen where you are.
Most of us are drivers/ learning how to drive. General rule you pull off to the side to let an ambulance through if it's lights are flashing because they are trying to get to an emergency or get someone to the hospital.
Okay here's the story, I pull over like everyone else and let the ambulance through, but here's where the story gets interesting. The ambulance with someone inside the back that needs to get to the hospital stops at the intersection ahead of me. Now I don't understand why on earth this ambulance has to stop lights flashing and all.
Would you believe it, pedestrians wouldn't move away to let the ambulance through. Even when it was honking they wouldn't move faster they just kept crossing in both directions. I see this lady yelling at them telling them to stop crossing and let the ambulance through and what do they do? They STOP in the middle of the fucking crosswalk and stare at her as if she were crazy.
Now EVERYONE in thier cars are getting pissed off with these pedestrians, even me since I can see from a view behind the ambulance that someone needs to get to the hospital. We're honking yelling at them they need to get off the crosswalk or someone in the ambulance is going to die in a few minutes.
For the love of all that is good, I don't know where the fuck these people came from because they would not move! At least until we called the police THEN they started moving, and the ambulance got through, but traffic was held up for a bit because after all holding up an ambulance in my city is an offence and you can be given a fine upto $25,000 for not letting an ambulance get to an emergency/ get someone to a hospital.
It's ridiculous.
Okay, done now.
