That’s right, August is Pagoda Month! We are going to have an entire month (plus a bit extra) devoted to the coolest battle venue in Althanas.
It's pretty simple. Pagoda Month starts right now! Any Pagoda battles that begin from this point on and finish before September 7th get double EXP. Also, each victory (non-default) counts as two in terms of the Hierarchs’ winning streak.
That’s not all, either! There are a few other awards to be won:
Battle of the Month: The highest scoring Pagoda battle in this event will receive triple EXP from the battle instead of double, as well as an additional 100 GP per character level (counting up from level zero).
Challenger of the Month: Voted on by the staff, this award will go to the challenger (the winner only must be a challenger at the start; he/she could theoretically be a Hierarch by the end of Pagoda Month and remain eligible) who combines the best activity with great writing and good sportsmanship. The winner of this award gains 500 GP.
Most Valuable Hierarch: Voted on by the Pagoda Hierachs, this award will go to the Warrior, Master, or Grandmaster who pulled the most weight, put forth the most effort, and most epitomized what it is to be a Hierarch (helping newbies, being friendly and approachable, and posting promptly). The winner will gain 250 GP and two points added to his/her winning streak rating.
Post of the Week: Each week, the staff will decide which single Pagoda post was the best that week. The winner gains 150 GP.
And that's it! Get out there and start battling! Stay on your toes, though, because there are sure to be more unexpected twists and turns!
