Fribix carelessly dropped himself down, on the cold earth, in the dreary forest for which he had been traveling in (not to mention without a map as to where he was headed). He could no longer stand the horrid traveling conditions. His appetite caught the best of him a countless number of times, and instead of thinking of the unfortunates that he, and his little mink friend Zix, might have to endure, each time he would fulfill the desire to cease the hunger withholding him. "Oh Zix," he started with a voice the equivalent to that of an eight year old who's mother seems to be overprotective. "I cant stand this bloody forest any longer. I need food!"

Zix himself at the time been experiencing the agony of being deprived of food. Zix could find not a single beetle, nut, or delightful leaf to snack on. Fribix hadn't realized that Zix went searching, for he had been complaining to every branch for at least an hour. "Zix...do you think you might be able to find some nuts?," he asked. Zix looked at Fribix, then performed a rather offensive gesture, mainly executed by turning the buttocks to the insulted.

Fribix had not a second to be antagonized, for the moment Zix turned, he squealed frantically and bolted off the trunk with an enormous jump right into Fribix's arms. Fribix had never seem Zix so scared (which is saying something because Zix has had numerous moments of fright during their travels). Fribix looked up and the moment his eyes came in contact with the dreadful sight, he could swear that his heart skipped two beats. He stared at the beast, for its form was like no other. He was sure that the beast was some kind of demon, for it had the shape of a human. Only difference was its dark skin was plastered with streaks of white markings. Returning to his senses, Frixbix quickly stumbled to his feet, sword in hand, and ready to defend.

"Put your sword down boy, for I mean you no harm." The beast held his hands up then gestured for Fribix to sheath the sword peacfully. "Who are you?," Fribix asked, with his sword down, but still in hand, a firm grip around the handle. "I am a native of the village colseby," he replied. "I am just performing my daily walks in this forest. I've heard your woes. Come, follow me to my village. Theres lots of food. Enough for you and your little friend." Fribix was still a bit terrified, but he figured the man could be of no harm. He sheathed his sword and started after the man. Zix squeaked lightly and Fribix nodded. I have a feeling something isnt normal about his people. A dark feeling.
