Hi everyone. I briefly visited althanas once...quite a few years ago, and did one solo post. I wasn't really into my character concept at the time, and didn't really know what I doing, so I left, not sure whether I'd come back. A friend of mine, Tainted Bushido, has been here for quite a while and I've inquired about his journies here from time to time, and Althanas has always crept bakc into the back of my mind now and then.

Now, with a lot more roleplaying under my belt, I'm back with a character that I actually want to explore! I still know mostly nothing about Althanas given how long I've been gone, but I've done a little bit of reading about Alerar, and I've got a concept for a dark elf in exile. I'mve only got the description and personality down so far, and will get working on the backstory soon. I wouldn't mind a guide now and then to how me where things are and such, and I hope to stir things up in Scara Brae...as soon as get this whole character approval thing figured out! :)

Btw, the posting codes here are the same as in the Giant in the Playground gorums is that correct? It feels very similar.

After I get approved, I'll also need to learn the thread conventions. Like how to join quests, how yto find hat what quests are current and how to search for them, how to create my own rp thread, and how to indicate how many others are welcome to join, or whether it's only open to certain people. And of course, where my first stop should be.

Incidentally, I think the lamella armor is quite similar to the ones samurai used to wear. The one Tine wears resembles this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/ac/SCH1577ac.jpg/792px-SCH1577ac.jpg

Yeah... And the second one comes with a pre-ordered straightjacket in the mail. ;)

Yours should be on the way now, too.

Welcome back, Returner!

Thanks for the welcome! I wouldn't mind a guide to show me where everything is either. Working on a cool background is not that easy...I gotta learn the history of the regions first.
