Level 3 update. Almost everythings changed, so I didn't bother with the color thing. Here (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=1949) is a link to my level 2 profile however, should you need to make reference checks.
Big change, but still the same character. Dropped a few things, added a lot of history so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. I hope.
Name: Jordhan Kol'Alamar (Formally known as Koran Vincent Seether)
Race: Cybernetically Enhanced Shadow Meld [Human in appearance] (Formally Human Cybernetic Super Soldier)
Sex: Male
Hair Color: Silver (Formally Gold)
Eye Color: Gray (Formally Black)
Height: 7'8" (Formally 6'3")
Weight: 297 pounds (Formally 3 metric tons)
Age: 10,700 (Formally 9,000+)
Complexion: Bleach White (Formally Pale Caucasian)
Appearance/Race History/Traits: The Shadow Meld were a race that was never meant to be. Created by accident in a human genetics experiment during the height of the ancient, yet vast stretching Calamarian Empire, they were considered an enigma by the ruling class until their unique ability to shape shift was discovered. Then, like most things involving death and destruction for the Calamarians, they were immediately put into full front line service as Assassin Hunter Killers. There they served, many against their will, for many millennia performing the dirty work of the Empire. Then, something happened to the Shadow Meld that no one, not even the Shadow Meld themselves could have foreseen. Suddenly they started dying. At first it was in small numbers, which should have caused panic amongst the Shadow Meld and the Empire but for some unfortunate turn of events didn't, and then as time quickly passed the numbers grew and grew until their ranks were reduced by more than seventy-five percent. The Empire had at this point begun to work in earnest to find out the cause for these sudden and quite unexplainable deaths. One day a Shadow Meld would be healthy, the next slowing down slightly and then the next, dead. For the longest time no cure, rhyme or reason was found for this strange disease and the population began to dwindle at an even faster rate. Then, when all hope seemed to be lost for this accidental race of super assassins, an amazing break through was discovered in the hunt for a cure and it would forever be remembered as the answer that was so simple to find, no one bothered to look in the most obvious of places.
The Shadow Meld had been suffering from the most basic form of human mental trauma, depression. The Empire quickly seized upon this discovery and set into full motion a program to give the Shadow Meld a new purpose, the Bivorian Cybernetics Enhancement and Rehabilitation Program. The program was an instant success, all surviving Shadow Meld being forced, although a vast majority had already volunteered for the program the instant it had been announced, to participate in the program and populations began to stabilize. In two hundred rather short years, the entire population of Shadow Meld had fully begun a reversal process and populations were once again on the rise. It was during this time that the Empire launched its newest and most deadly of Assassin programs, the Vincent Protocol. Its elements were simple, take a few highly trained Shadow Meld and wipe their minds of all associated memories of their life, rework and revamp their cybernetic implants and turn them into a super-super soldier that would do anything and everything for the Empire. The protocol was an instant success, or at least, so they thought.
Early on the scientists at the Bivorian Cybernetics began to notice subtle yet disastrous alterations in behavior, thinking process and overall humanity in the test subjects. Seeing where this potential could possibly lead them they petitioned to the Empire to terminate the program but sadly they found that it was they themselves who were the ones to be terminated, by their very own product too. The first of his kind, Product 288-868-8648-836540-8265478-BDEF, code named ‘Koran.’ The assassination of the scientists was held in a remote desert location, the bodies quickly and quietly disposed of by the newest of the Empires super-super soldiers. If the Empire had had a face at that point, it would have been grinning so wide that it would have literally split itself in two, and it did, because not long after, the Calamarian Civil Wars of 2882 began and the Empire found itself steadily being consumed from within. Corruption and a constant policy of kill first ask questions later was slowly bearing down on the seeping hulk and it wasn’t long before the empire fell apart completely, dissolving into thousands of lesser kingdoms, each vying for control or power over key Empire cities, planets, hubs or relics. The entire universe seemed to be plunged into a constant state of war and stuck right in the middle were the Shadow Meld and their great by default leaders, dominantly code name ‘Koran’, the products of the Bivorian Cybernetics Vincent Protocol enhancement program.
For seven thousand years the wars raged, many planets being obliterated whole by the wonton destruction and need for glory. Hundreds of billions died in the conflicts and many, many more were left without homes, families or lives for that matter. The Shadow Meld made it clear early on that they would never settle permanently with this or that side, but would, for a time at least, pick one depending on whoever could pay them the most. As such they were constantly switching sides, engaging in conflicts that spanned sometimes entire galaxies, or a simple planet or two, but they never hired themselves out together as a whole. It was a personal business for them, individuals of a family sometimes hiring themselves out separately to fighting factions, depending on which faction appealed to them the most. It only took them two major conflicts in which they had fought one another for them to finally come to a race wide compromise that if faced with the possibility of fighting one another in combat, they would strictly avoid each other on the battle field and should another Shadow Meld fall to another’s hand by way of hostile combat in a foreign war, the punishment was the stripping of their family titles, the loss of their home and their people for the rest of the natural lives. Which for a Shadow Meld at the time, was dozens of millennia. These few who did face this punishment were quickly hunted down and killed by the Shadow Meld, as they did not want to be faced by the fact that a rogue Shadow Meld was loose in the universe, where he or she could cause more harm.
Early on in the Great Wars of the Third through Tenth millennia, the Shadow Meld as a people moved to secure the one planet that perhaps only they knew best, Calamari, the great home world of the defunct Calamarian Empire. It was here that the greatest of relics and cities lay and it was here that the Shadow Meld had been given birth, so naturally it was here that they thought they should make their home. Because of the abruptness of their attack, in addition to their sheer dominance of skill on the battlefield, and the near perfect timing, the Shadow Meld quickly secured the planet, with only minor losses to their number. There they quickly began to establish a solid ruling body of Shadow Meld elders and senior warriors and quickly set about rebuilding the once vast economy of the planet. All the while they were hiring their services as warriors out to the highest bidder, a significant portion of their earnings going directly to the government as tax, which helped to boost the early economy of the planet. After a few decades however, the Shadow Meld, with the help of the local population, were finally able to attain pre-civil war economic levels on the planet, if not at an intergalactic scale. Not that they were really interested in intergalactic revenues, they were instead more interested in getting the cybernetic facilities up and running once more, as they had fallen into disrepair during the later years of the Civil War, when it had simply become too expensive for the failing government of the Empire to keep them running. Soon the Shadow Meld had the factories up and running and were quickly doling out procedures to their Shadow Meld brethren, as well as a few lucky citizens of Calamari who could pay for the procedure and were willing to serve in the Calamarian Defense Force for a period of at least twenty years. In addition to providing enhancement procedures, the facilities also provided a vast array of physical and mental upgrades, some of which only the most senior of Shadow Melds were allowed access too. One of these upgrades, the INTRM (Internal Nuclear Tactical Rancor Missile) program, only a very select few were eligible and one such candidate was the original super-super soldier, code name ‘Koran.’ He asked for the procedure immediately after its release and was placed under intensive care for 28 weeks following the procedure and everything had been going according to plan, when a quirk in the system, the one the original scientists from so long ago had warned about, flared and caused the great warrior to lose all memory of his past life, instead planting in his mind wild ambitions of escape and freedom. Something a Shadow Meld of his kind had never known before. Quickly overpowering the weak Shadow Meld staff at the upgrade facility, code name ‘Koran’ fled the planet but not before the leading scientist, Doctor Viktor Harold Jamison miraculously was able to disable the primed, but as of yet inactive INTRM program sitting within the rouge Shadow Melds breast. The rouge Shadow Meld quickly escaped the planet and then disappeared for nearly eight thousand years.
During that time the Shadow Meld, shocked that such an esteemed member of their warrior society could suddenly go rouge and vanish, made it a personal crusade to both find the rouge Shadow Meld, destroying him if necessary, and solve the ever looming quirks in their cybernetic programming that still haunted them to that day. It took them nearly six thousand years to finally break the code to their problem and when they did they embarked on a massive exodus to find their still lost and now idolized former leader. They searched diligently for one thousand years before they finally found him, his mind having asserted itself into a new mold, a new personality on a new planet, deep in the darkest reaches of space, far from any great space faring people. While some were quick to want to rush down and see if they need destroy their rouge leader, some were hesitant, wishing instead to watch and see if the rouge Shadow Meld really deserved to be destroyed.
They quickly observed a drastic change in behavior of the rouge Shadow Meld, as well as a change in appearance. The rouge had shifted away from the customary whites and grays of their people, having instead settled on a more dark and brooding color that sometimes seemed to match his new personality. He had changed his physic as well, diminishing in size but growing more stout, more powerful in appearance. These changes and many more the silent watchers observed for over two years before finally agreeing collectively that their leader deserved to be restored to his former position amongst their people, as his actions had demonstrated during their observation. Agreed on this matter they quickly assembled a team of their best hunters, as they knew that their leader, however sketchy his mind might have been on Shadow Meld tactics, was a skilled and deadly fighter and dispatched them toward the planet surface. For four days the group followed their leader, keeping a safe distance from him, mainly so as not to alarm him or startle him into fleeing, and when it became apparent to them that their leader would not possibly come peacefully and quietly, they struck.
They found that their perfect opportunity was while their leader was stuck on a mountainside, fresh from a long journey and still quite unaware of their presence. They advanced up the hill quickly and quietly and attacked the rogue with a precision that only Shadow Melds could have performed. Surprisingly the rogue went down quickly and rather quietly, something they had not been expecting. A few suggested they simply kill him then and there and save them the trouble of hauling him back, but the leader of the group strictly forbade the action, stating that he would personally kill them if they laid a hostile hand on the rogue. The group quickly forwent any thought of killing the rogue and quickly bundled him up to be transported back home where he could be processed and fixed if necessary. They however, only got as far as their jumper when the rogue awoke.
The rogue took one look at his captors and instantly his memories returned, almost as if they had never been gone. His body immediately reverted to its natural tall, lean but well built frame. Waist length silver hair replaced the long gold strand he had adopted upon his arrival to this planet, and his eyes quickly glossed over to become the deep gray they had always been. His body lengthened to a great height of seven feet eight inches, his mass compensating for the height, and his skin began to pale considerable until it was finally a comfortable bleach white. After a moment of getting himself acquainted with his old form once more, he turned to his ‘captors’ and demanded to know why they were there. Seeing that their leader had reverted to his old self, they instantly fell in line and told all that they knew of him, the planet, their mission and their cause. The rogue nodded only once during their story and then told them to board their ship and return home, that he was going to remain in this place for the time being. He liked it here and wasn’t quite ready yet to return home. The group, seeing that there was no arguing with the rogue, simply agreed and boarded their ship quickly, starting it and lifting their way back into the black void above. There they stopped however, falling into a high orbit, waiting for their leaders call, should it ever come. It had been a silent decision by the group, one that all had agreed too and once they made orbit they sent a short message home.
“He has opted to remain here, holding orbit until further instructions. Send food.”
Down on the surface, fully aware that the group had not left like he had instructed them too, code name ‘Koran’, whose real name was Jordhan Kol’Alamar of the Kal’Mara clan of the Shadow Meld people, silently reached deep into his memory and closed away the memories of his past. He had lived without them for this long, he could do without them for now. He did however, retain some of the information from his past lives, and this new one he had chosen to lead, and he kept those tucked close to his consciousness, where they would be easy to use.
Weapons: Dwarven cast Delyn Great Sword (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=4012) – approximate weight of eighty-five pounds
Armor: None.
Abilities: Shape shifting – Has only to touch the persons flesh before a detailed schematic of that persons physical appearance, as well as their voice, are instantly copied and stored for later use. Limitations - Transformations limited to 5 times in one hour.
Infrared Vision – Standard heat based vision, used mostly for night or otherwise dark environments. Limitations - Current usage time is 1 hour continuous, with a 2.5 hour recharge rate.
Clone Ability – Works the same as the shape shifting ability. Limitations - Cloning limited to 1 time every 1.5 hours.
Passive abilities: Prolonged Stamina – Due to his cybernetic implants, as well as his racial improvements, Jordhan is able to maintain a steady fight or run for up to three hours without tiring significantly. A steady run is a quick jog, but not a sprint. At sprinting speed he could probably last for about a half an hour.
Unwillingness to Yield – A stubborn trait that is both hereditary as well as manifested in Jordhan, and as such he is less likely to fall for the tricks of an enemy such as a feint or a bluff. It makes it easier for him to call actions while in battle or see when someone is lying to him. This is a slight increase of that of a normal person.
Underwater Breathing – Not really breathing underwater, but the ability to hold his breath for much longer than any normal person would be able to attain. He has been known to hold it, standing still and not exerting himself for upwards of an hour. Exerting himself, ie. Swimming, he could hold it for perhaps fifteen minutes before being forced to surface.
Rapid Healing - Because of his cybernetic implants, Jordhan is able to heal at a 1.5 faster rate than a normal human would. Wounds that would normally severely hamper a human, do so less with Jordhan and wounds that would kill a human outright sometimes take minutes, hours or even days to finish the job. He also has a significantly increased tollerance to natural poisons. Magical and mechanical he has no defense over.
Shape Shifting forms - Standard – standard body height, weight and striking capabilities. Stands as of now as 1.65 times more powerful than human of equivalent muscle mass and weight. (As this height is rare among humans and usually associated with some sort of disease or other illness, mass is instead taken into effect)
Pixie – approximately one inch in height, weight .03 grams, capable of flight with striking power of a small bird.
Winged Elf – approximately five feet eleven inches in height, weight at approximately one hundred fifteen pounds, capable of flight with striking power equal to half standard body power
Ranoan Tribal Warrior, Sorahn un' Rohnahmeh Pre-solo – approximately five feet ten inches, weight at approximately one hundred forty pounds, capable of scaling trees and rough walls with striking power equal to one third standard body power
Formed Weapons - One standard length broadsword blade, equivalent strength of folded steel. Cost of one standard transformation.
Shadow Meld Enhancement List - Stamina increase, Intelligence increase, Strength increase, Longevity increase and Health increase. Explained in further detail above.
Big change, but still the same character. Dropped a few things, added a lot of history so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. I hope.
