I just found this hilarious when I realized it. I head on NPR on the way home today that some Senator (Ted Stevens of Alaska) was indicted for not reporting gifts given to him by a number of lobbyists seeking to influence him in appropriations. They apparently helped renovate his house and the amounts of money were just huge.
Yawn, yawn, politicians are corrupt, who cares? If you do, here (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=93045719)
Then it dawned on me once I got home. This is not just any senator. This is the Series of Tubes guy, who famously described the internet during hearings on the Net Neutrality Bill as, "not like a big truck" but rather a "series of tubes".
I just thought it was lulz, and probably more likely to brighten someone's day than a debate on abortion laws.
For anyone who missed the boat (or big truck), Series of Tubes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f99PcP0aFNE)
