This character has several skills based on random chance. To use them reliably, I am begging for the help of anyone who has a set of D&D type dice. Preferably four through twenty sided. If you're kind enough to assist me, please post here with your AIM handle and a list of dice that you have.

I'm hoping that a number of people will take me up on this, so as to increase the chances that I'll have someone to IM whenever I need to.

The way it works is, for example, whenever Noloan uses spontaneous object generation, I'll make a list of twelve items and IM you. You roll your twelve sided die, and we post in this thread simultaneously, you with the resulting number and me with my list. This will ensure no chance of cheating. Whichever object matches the number you post is the one Nolan will generate in the thread in question.

I promise I will find a way to repay anyone that can help me with this, probably by questing with you. Thanks!!!

In order to role play on Althanas, you need to register your character in The Realm of Greeting (http://www.althanas.com/world/forumdisplay.php?f=7). If you need help with your character profile, you can check out The Character Registration Guide. (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=1888) Feel free to PM or IM any of the mods if you have any further questions the guides won't answer for you.

Thanks, but I want to make sure I have people to help me with Nolan's skills, otherwise the concept would fail miserably. I'll be sure not to post in any roleplaying forums until I have an approved profile though :)

There is a way to do this via AIM chatrooms! It's fairly awesome, because you can get up to 15dicewith up to 999sides.

ozymandiusjones (7:39:52 PM) has been invited.
OzymandiusJones (7:39:55 PM) has entered the room.
ozymandiusjones (7:40:07 PM): lollinkednaems
ErrantryEvermore (7:40:34 PM): Anyways! I shall now display the dice command so that you, sir, can select a person at random to help you!
ozymandiusjones (7:40:42 PM): *bows and looks pretty*
ErrantryEvermore (7:40:51 PM): //roll-dice15-sides999
OnlineHost (7:40:51 PM): ErrantryEvermore rolled 15 999-sided dice: 51 313 192 849 428 500 763 400 382 904 991 601 230 476 356
ErrantryEvermore (7:41:23 PM): To change the number of dice/sides, you merely change the numbers. For example!
OnlineHost (7:41:45 PM): OzymandiusJones rolled 1 12-sided die: 7
ErrantryEvermore (7:42:06 PM): Or, a more traditional die:
ErrantryEvermore (7:42:15 PM): //roll-dice1-sides6
OnlineHost (7:42:15 PM): ErrantryEvermore rolled 1 6-sided die: 1
ErrantryEvermore (7:42:22 PM): And there you have it!
ozymandiusjones (7:42:31 PM): thank you, and goodnight!
OzymandiusJones (7:42:33 PM) has left the room.

So! Feel free to IM me anytime you need help, or to just fling the dice-roller code at a random standerbyer. :)

Set it to 12 then thank me later.

I think the point is to have a "witness" as it were, so that he can't just go there and hit one and claim it's a twelve and so on.

Granted, Kially's method is easier than dragging random people kicking and screaming into a chat, so if I misunderstood your intent there y'go. :D
