Name: Vorphalack Seiszer
Age: 25-30
Race: Human
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: (Dark) Brown
Height: 183cm
Weight: 77kg
Occupation: Illusionist

Personality:

Devious, mercurial, in many ways unremorseful. V. Seiszer will, for a large part, only act if his actions result in his own benefit, or for that of the few he holds as close friends. To the things he hates the following count as the highest: Charities, superficial pupils and societies, as well as beggars. Charities and beggars go into one box for him, as he deems them useless and rather pathetic (since the people, could after all, help themselves). As for the abhorrence toward those who only graze the surface of subjects or life…just part of his individual persona. Those who behave so will notice soon enough that they are not in his favor as he will not bother to throw a glance upon them any further – ‘less it be his final glance.
To those things that count to his passions are the following: Astrology, philosophy, deceiving of perception (Illusionary “tricks”). Rather self explanatory, as he does not necessarily find himself satisfied by the simple things of life.

Appearance:

V. Seiszer will always be seen wearing a cleanly shaved and finely lined goatee of some sort. His chest long hairs he will, most of the time, keep tied back in some sort of a knot. His clothing will either be a composition of a black or crimson shirt beneath his black leather trench coat, and a pair of black cargo pants laying themselves over a heavy pair of black, steel capped boots consisting of rather robust material. On his right hand, between indication finger and thumb, V. Seiszer carries an extremely complex tattoo of a flaming pentagram. The flames which the depiction casts swivel and churn up to his elbow. As if it was something that he wished not everyone to necessarily see he conceals his adorned hand(s) within a thin pair of black leather gloves.

V. Seiszer Physical traits, not named in numbers or one color would be as follows. Thin sideburns that connect to the edge of his face, following down to the chin, and the there found goatee. The mans face a rather deceiving construction, it seems as if the number of separate muscles in his face would surpass that of any other human, his expressions are so clear and defined you could think you were observing some sort of anatomic painting. Yet if V. Seiszer pleases, the creation of a visage completely devoid of any emotion is not the slightest difficulty either. This control over his face, or the simple fact that he can “look like that” gives him the benefit of being an exceptionally good liar. V. Seiszer’s dark brown eyes are marked with a texture similar to that of a finely polished, glistening and shining, antique wooden table.

History:

V. Seiszer is a mid-level ranked agent of an occult that is concealed from the public. This group deals with political matters around Althanas. None know of their presence, none know of their influence, and none know of their agents – and even they are only supplied with a certain necessary amount of information that will let them carry out their individual tasks. This makes this occulted organization but a myth in the mouths of althanians. Their clandestine operations reach from assassinations and disappearances of “certain” documents to the research of forbidden and new arts of magic. From harmful actions to those not even taken notice of by most. Their way to deal with those who turn their back on this occult is complete eradication of all evidence, speak: everyone external who had any contact to this person, as well as their families, is either captured and interrogated or directly killed depending on the importance of the possibly leaked matter. Thus not many turn their back on this organization, let alone that the leading force of this occult is more than simply wealthy, not a single agent or acolyte suffers from poverty.
Their teachings and “beliefs” tend to be somewhat controversial at times, yet their bottom line is that beyond and after all, knowledge is the ultimate power which holds together the very threads of this universe.

Vorphalack Seiszer was born into this organization by a rather wealthy couple of agents. Together with his brother he was trained the art of hand to hand as well as pole-arm combat from their childhood days on. They lived upon and island distant of those which made the island nation Corone. An unmarked island on every map, possibly discovered by many, now dead, sailors already. The island posed to be some sort of headquarters of the said occult.

Having reached the age of eighteen, Vorphalack and his brother Xyllion-Xytrax were chosen to become exterior agents of the occult. Whilst Xyllion-Xytrax was taught the ways of shrouded combat, Vorphalack was assigned the research of the new form – the so called illusionary combat. They were not in a sense unique to their tasks, there were sufficiently enough agents sent out over the althanian globe who researched or fulfilled one or the other task already – yet under the circumstance each new discovery or completed task, they were to return and pool their resources with the other agents, before continuing with new or other assignments, ‘less it be that the current situation would only allow this with a high death risk.

Five years ago the brothers had been sent out into the world of Althanas, landing ashore two separate continents, sworn and dedicated to fulfill their tasks, sworn to fight onwards for eachother as for the occult which had raised them.
Vorphalack was assigned three tasks for his life as an external agent:
- The elimination of each threat to the occult, come it his way.
- The research of Illusionary Combat.
- The observance of the clerical influence on Althanas’ politics.

Skills:

- Adept Spear/Staff combatant.

- Telepathy (level 1): With a great amount of concentration Vorphalack can communicate with his vis-à-vis, without speaking a single word. His obverse though will hear them as clearly as if though V. Seiszer was speaking right into their ear. As an effect in battle, this skill often dazzles opponents that don’t know of V. Seiszers abilities. The side-effect though, if used over a long period of time, will be a blazing headache.
Specific Information:
- Level 1: There must be eye contact.
Level 2: There must be visual contact.
Level 3: There must be no direct contact, but the knowledge of the others location.
Level 4: There must be no contact, merely the though of the recipient.
- With increasing level, the amount of concentration needed to carry out this skill decreases in a proportional manner.

- Conjure Phantasm: This skill is the summoning of a ghost like monster which only the adverse of the caster percepts as real. Being a domination power (skill), it is initially meant to harm – yet how does an imagined phantom hurt someone?
The appearance of a phantom so horrid it could only originate from the very dark depth of ones mind. The appearance will usually cause its victim to panic, flail its arms or weapons around everywhere, or run around and spastically yelp in fear. This state of panic will usually cause the victim to hurt themselves, or be open for an attack of the summoner/caster for some time. Of course this mind trick does not necessarily work, several things could make it fail - an interruption by other mind magic, or a simply strong and knowledgable mind of what will come. If the adverse can convince him/herself that he is seeing but an illusion the phantasm will show little or rather no effect at all.
Specific Information:
- Conjure Phantasm feeds off the mind of the casters adversary, thus depicting a phantom that represents one of the greatest fears of that adversary.
- Level 1: There must be eye contact (with the caster).
- Lasts no longer than five seconds on an adrenaline supplied system of an active combatant.
- Lasts ten to fifteen seconds on an unaware foe, or non-combatant.
- Will fail with a chance of backfiring if the caster executes this spell without fulfilling the necessary premises. (3 Seconds of preparation and eye contact)

Armor:

A leather trenchcoat.

Equipment:
1 x Small Telescope, silver.
2 x Small Coin Sacks, wine-red.
1 x Necklace, foldable ring = Makeshift Sun-Watch, silver.
1 x Map, marks celestial bodies.
1 x Map of Corone
1 x Map of Raiaera
1 x Small piece of cloth that holds writing utensils.
1 x Small pot of ink.

Familiars:

Xyllian-Xytrax Seiszer
Current Whereabouts: Unknown
Current Occupation:: External Agent of the Occult

As mentioned above in the history section, Xyllian-Xytrax is the brother of V. Seiszer. Whilst they are very alike in facial traits and other physical traits, apart from Xyllian-Xytrax being somewhat rounder and completely bald they differ in their character. V. Seiszer's brother is far more quiet and reserved. Most of the time he will not crack a smile, a sad face, or any sort of emotion. Xyllian-Xytrax is a living poker-face, always seeming to contemplate his next move, calculating his obverse.

Being an adept of shrouded combat, Xyllian-Xytrax will never be wearing any clothing brighter than the darkest shadow. Nor will he be seen wearing trousers that flap in the wind, or capes that swivel through the air as they would attract too much attention. His arms are encased in black leather armguards, covering every bit of visible flesh. Now and then X. Seiszer will be wearing a cheap disposable hooded cloak upon his bald head and stous but agile body in order to conceal his identity. His right hand is adorned with the same tattoo which his brother has. His current whereabouts are probably somewhere within the country of Alerar, Salvar, or Berever - the exact location of a Shrouded Combatant can never be determined due obvious, and security reasons. Another similarity, their goatee - both Seiszer prodigies carry the exact same style of facial hair.

I do hope reading this profile was somewhat enjoyful for he or she who took it upon him/herself.

It was very much enjoyable. Can you describe a little bit more about the familiar, though? Also, can you stress a little bit how your phantasm "usually" will cause people to suffer the effects you describe? It sounds a little bit unbalanced at the moment, and like it could overly dominate any opponent you would face.
