Level 3 Updates in yellow

Name: Travis Kiltias
Age: 20
Race: Human
Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: Green
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 170 lbs
Occupation: Adventurer, Explorer

Personality/Appearance:
Tall, muscular, and handsome, Travis uses both his looks and his charm to quickly make friends. His quick mind and sharp tongue can sometimes get him into trouble, but he usually manages to talk his way out of it. He is loyal to a fault, oftentimes disregarding his own safety to protect a friend. Since he was expected to help his parents do the chores around the house, Travis has a good sense of discipline and always gets things done in a timely manner. He believes procrastination is the sign of a weak will and always strives to imbue others with his work ethic. Another product of his childhood, Travis rarely lets himself waste time in idleness.

History:
Born to Marcus and Saria Kiltias, Travis is the oldest of a family of three. His father is a carpenter in the town near their home and his mother is a seamstress of some renown employed mainly by wealthy families in the area. Travis was required to help both of his parents with the daily chores at a very young age. He’d help his father split logs for firewood, hunt game for their meals, and work with him in his carpentry shop. Although his two younger sisters spent most of their time with Saria, Travis was expected to help out around the house as well. For his family, there was no time for idleness.

When he had time for himself, Travis would often travel into town and spar with the other boys his age. A retired soldier often taught the boys battle tactics and weapon techniques; Travis was a quick study. He practiced nearly everyday and soon became proficient in many different combat forms. The boys were all close friends throughout their younger years. Around the age of sixteen, however, some of the boys began leaving. A few went off to work as apprentices for master craftsmen, one or two joined religious groups, and most of the rest went off to join the military. Their childhood was ending and Travis knew he would soon have to make his own decision.

On the morning of his eighteenth birthday, Marcus Kiltias presented his son with a worn leather pack. Inside were a few items: a bedroll, a knife, a wooden ocarina, some simple woodworking tools, a simple first aid kit, and a bronze leaf on a leather necklace. Marcus explained that these had been his once and now he was passing them on to his only son. Together, they walked to the carpentry shop and Marcus gave Travis his old armor. Explaining that adventuring let a man find himself, Marcus told his son that he was no longer welcome in the Kiltias home. And so Travis Kiltias became a wandering adventurer, searching for his place in the world like so many others.

Upon leaving his home, Travis soon found himself traveling across the vast world of Althanas. He met Vana’diel the half-gigas in Fallien and Drizaghar Maena’triel the drow in Raiaera before traveling to Scara Brae. There he teamed up with Lars to find a lost boy from the town of Olme. When the pair ventured into the forest, they stumbled on an illegal logging operation taking place. Upon further investigation, Lars discovered that a crime syndicate, The Scourge, was working behind the scenes. They fought and killed several guards before returning to the town to report what they had seen. Hailed as a hero, Travis traveled to Valeena Lake to meet up with his companions.

There he met the Halfling Nicodemus and the group of four made their way to Scara Brae the city. On the outskirts of the city, they ran into Brammas Ghistre, a human male, who asked to join them. Together the party entered Scara Brae. After several months, Travis was unfortunate enough to witness an arson committed by the Scourge’s Burner. Pegged as a Scourge member, Travis had to flee the city. The group traveled to Corone and made their way to the Underwood. Given different jobs, the five went their separate ways. Travis ended up heading north to work on a farm near the mountains.

A few weeks later, Travis found himself walking through the streets of Radasanth during a torrential downpour. He ran into some spearmen and battled them off with the help of an unknown ally (Josh Cronen).

On his first trip to Dheathain, Travis found the Synthesis Shop and asked Lasair to craft him a double-bladed sword. The ingredient list was long and complicated and so Travis teamed up with kitsune Tsukiko to seek out some of the materials. The two traveled across the region to the swamps of the Fiorair and battled a great Faoi before gathering much of what they needed. After their quest, the two parted ways for a time.

After leaving Donnalaich, Travis Kiltias found himself in the capital city of Radasanth once more. He stopped by the Bazaar to buy a few items before continuing on to the Citadel. There he was matched up against the assassin Seralcard (though he doesn’t know the man’s name). After a grueling battle, he barely escape with his life; Seralcard proving the victor. Luckily, the monks of the Citadel were able to heal him, though they could not repair his destroyed weapon.

After his time in Corone, he once again returned to the land of the fae and met up with some friends. However, he soon sunk into a period of despair and self-pity. In a strange vision, he talked with himself and became aware of the series of events in his recent history. Spurred by words from his father, Travis decided to become much more involved in his own life. He headed into the Neamh Mountains, battled a great monster, and found a chunk of Damascus ore. Thrilled with his accomplishment, the adventurer vowed to remain optimistic and conquer his ‘shadow side’ once and for all.

Some time had passed, but Travis eventually found himself back in Scara Brae and heading toward the Dajas Pagoda. After his time away, the familiar continent seemed like his home away from home. In the Pagoda, Travis was matched up with Monica, a Warrior, and they battled to the death in her strange psychedelic arena. Travis lost, but the monks were so impressed with his fighting that they gave him a position in the Hierarchy anyway. Honored at being able to defend his position in the Pagoda, Travis accepted.

His first battle as a vested member of the Hierarchy was against Tom Carraway, a brute with something to prove in the Pagoda. The battle ended with Travis taking a crossbow bolt to the throat; such a scar serves as a daily reminder to the red-haired warrior. After the judgment, Travis was pleased to find himself still a member of the Dajas Pagoda.

Edward Judorne was his second challenger and Travis dispatched the man with ease. Imbued with confidence after a quick win, the warrior took a few days leave to travel back to a few familiar locales.

His next challenger was a diminutive girl who fought with the same type of weapon that Travis himself favored. The battle was over quick and Travis managed to end the struggle as he lay dying himself; a draw for all intents and purposes. However, the Ai’Bron monks were so impressed by both combatants that both were allowed to take positions further up in the Hierarchy. Thus did Travis Kiltias become a Pagoda Master.

A few weeks later, nearly a month after he’d first entered the Pagoda, Travis found himself turned out. He’d entered the place looking for a challenge, but it had soon turned into more of a chore. The robust warrior had loathed beating newcomers senseless time and time again, but the Hierarchs further up had proven too hardy to dethrone. Everything had worked out to his advantage; the redhead now found himself free of obligation and wandering the streets of Scara Brae. On a whim, he traveled to Corone to search out his long-time friend Krystyn and ended up uncovering something even larger than he had imagined. His journey ended with him killing a noble and rescuing his love.

Skills (active):
- Combat: Travis is proficient with polearms and above average with swords.
- Woodsmanship: From his time spent in the forests, Travis has become proficient at tracking both people and animals. He uses tracks, trail clues, and sometimes even scents to find his targets. Also, he can always find his way to the nearest civilization no matter how deep in the woods he finds himself.
- Call of the Wild: Travis is a son of the woods and as such, takes comfort in spending time there. He had begun meditating in the forests of Althanas, slowing his breathing, lowering his heart rate, and opening his mind to the woodland creatures. At his current level, this meditation can speed up his natural healing process (150%), calm his nerves, and focus his strength. Using this connection to the woods, Travis can also extend his consciousness. This allows him to find others beings within a one-mile radius (they must also be in the woods) and determine their approximate height, weight, and build. However, this meditation takes time, it is not to be used in the midst of battle.
- Woodworking: Travis can both carve and construct things from wood.
- Golem Creation: Given time, the right supplies, and favorable conditions, Travis can now craft small golems resembling animals he’s encountered during his travels. Animating the golems is beyond him though; his ability is currently limited to crafting an uncanny resemblance.
- Miner's Eye: Travis has gained the skill of recognizing raw metals up to Tier 4, and mining them from rock. The mining capability on this skill is average and limited to 40% success of total pounds removed from stone.
- Earth Spike: Travis can summon a three-foot tall spike from the ground. At this level, the spike has the strength of steel and must be summoned when earth is directly underfoot. Travis can summon the spike up to five feet from him; any farther and the summoning fails.
- First Aid: Travis has an above average knowledge of first aid.
Skills (passive):
- Learning: Travis is a quick study and can pick up on things faster than most humans.
- Observation: Because of his adventures on Althanas and his interaction with other travelers, Travis has learned to look closely at situations. His sense of sight is enhanced to 3x greater than a normal human and thus he notices things other people might miss.
- Stamina: Used to physical labor, Travis can exert himself longer than a normal human; roughly 2x longer.
- Improvisation: Travis thinks quickly on his feet which helps him talk his way out of situations, find new ways to complete tasks, and create battle styles unique to certain situations.

Equipment/Items:
- Buan'bualadh: A 7’ Akashima redwood pole with a steel spearpoint on one end; still in good condition.
- Dehlar Short Sword: Stolen from a member of the Scara Scourge, this sword is in good condition.
- Steel Italic Helm: This helm covers Travis’ head and the back of his neck. However, it allows for a wide range of sight as well.
- Steel Chainmail: A below average piece of armor.
- The Eoch’air: These Damascus bracers protect Travis’ forearms. Each bracer has a gold septagram inlaid at the center.
- Leather and Steel Greaves: These protect Travis’ shins.
- Trakym-lined Leather Boots: The Trakym lining in these boots resists some low-level magic.
- Equipment Belt: Travis stores his first aid supplies, some food items, and various other small objects in his leather belt.
- Black leather pouch of fine white sand: this mysterious bag was given to Travis by a strange woman.
- Rywan Wood Ocarina: carved by Travis himself, this ocarina summons Ardinne. Since it is hand-crafted, it imbues the familiar with increased abilities.
- Spider Fangs (2): taken from a spider he killed in the Concordia Forest, it is unsure whether or not these fangs are poisonous.
- Swan Feathers (2): bought in the bazaar for synthesizing.
- Leather Bracelet: this four inch wide bracelet is plain in its design, but sturdy nonetheless.
- A Bottle of Water: this small glass bottle contains purified water.
- Chunk of Ore: 6 lbs of Damascus ore, and 9 lbs of junk ore.
- Crystals: Travis has one each of clear, black, blue, and green crystals.
- Crystallized Vortex: Retrieved from ruins in Dheathain.

Familiar: Ardinne (female) the river otter
- Summoned by the wooden ocarina Travis carries on his person at all times.
- Enhances Travis’ senses when within 1 mile of him.
- They share a telepathic connection; Ardinne can react to Travis’ thought commands.
- Travis can see through the eyes of Ardinne, however, this tires him quickly.

5 miles for the Call of the Wild thing is a lot... cut that and I'll look at it again.
