"Siaphus! Siaphus! to what do we owe this great honor? to what do we owe the pleasure of you company!"
That's what they'll say, he thought. That's what they'll tell me
"Master Bleak! how humbled we are to be in your presence! let us bask in your glow!"
His twisted mind was alight with excitement. Oh the joy he would bring! what a blessing it shall be, allowing such tiny, pitiful beings to experience the presence of one a great as he! Somewhere, within the deepest confines of his brain, the rotting remainder of his sane self knew the absurdity of such fantasizations, but it's voice was inaudible to him. He was too far gone, he believed what he chose to believe, absolute madness. Is he crazy? or is he truly free...
I shall stride through the doorway in as noble a fashion as I can muster, and they will fall to their kness before me...
He did so, walking through the entryway of the Peaceful Promenade with as kingly a stride as you had ever witnessed. The reception was... less than epic. Somewhere a patron sneezed, the sleeping drunks grumbled, and the barkeep scarcely turned his head. Removing his top hat, Siaphus gave an exaggerated bow, letting show his maw of sharpened teeth. Wether it was the glint of his grin or the spectacle in itself, a series of troubled-looking individuals glanced his way.
"Hail, and good morrow! Hehe... Heh. Hmmm.. I am Siaphus Siberius Bleak.. Hehehe... the groveling may begin.. heh.. Now!"
Not a soul seemed to stir, and fewer still responded. His black heart broke a little that moment, but he pressed on.
"Who shall recieve the honor, of purchasing me a drink?"
He grinned once more, wider and more toothsome than before, before releasing a sharp cackle.
