(History gives pretty good picture of personality)
Name: Norenthal Willowcrest
Age: 26
Race: ??
Hair Color: Silver and white, streaked with black (especially at the hair beside the two sides of his face)
Eye Color: Pink
Height: Slightly less than average (bad posture) (I don't know how to visualize the numbers)
Weight: Less than average, somewhat unhealthy looking
Appearance: Norenthal has the body of one who might have been an elf once, but it has now been reduced to one more befitting of an over sized snake. Nonetheless, its quite lean, flexible and swift but very weak and delicate. He has long silvery hair, with the occasional black streak that travels far down his back. His eyes are frightening and unnerving to look at as they are of an unusual pink color that is bloodshot with faint blue swerving lines and a narrow, slit shaped pupil in the center. Norenthal's skin color is nothing fair to behold either, it appears as those he has been buried in a tomb for a year with a sick, subtle hue of jade to top it all off.
He always wears a look of sheer desperation upon his young, but very troubled face that looks like it did not have a moment of calm in some years.. Norenthal's visage also seems to contain the most slightest, subtle features of a Saurian creature, which can mostly seen in his somewhat curved eyes.
History: Slipping into consciousness at the side of some forgotten peak; in the snowy, cold ground, Norenthal has come to believe he has been banished far from his home; the Dark Woods by his overly just and righteous magician brother, Estil Willowcrest. It was an ever merciful thing to do considering the fact that Norenthal had attempted to murder Estil's beloved fiancée in a most cruel way. He didn't want anyone to stand in between the friendship they shared even though Estil wasn't even his real brother but was purchased by his overseer. In the towns of the Dark Wood, if you were not of full Raven Elf blood you were expendable and the property of the various Warlock syndicates who were allowed to do anything they wished with their unwilling servants. Thankfully, Estil's overseer was a kind and reasonable Wizard who merely wanted a few more hands around the tower and to spread the teachings of magic. Over the years, Estil and Norenthal had become nearly inseparable and indeed were very much brothers to each other. Some years later when Estil fell in love, Norenthal had noticed that Estil had began to pay him no heed and was distraught over the thought that his long-time companion would eventually have to start a life of his own.
After purchasing a most expensive, extraordinarily toxic, volatile poison from a Gloombark Warlock and donning a suit and cowl darker than night; Norenthal sneaks past the guards of a clan house where the hated fiancée slept peacefully. Norenthal was about to apply the fatal, harshly painful poison past her lips but the guards of the complex caught on to his intrusion and stopped him. Estil's fiancée was the unfavored child of the house and unblessed by the Lord of Thorns so Norenthal's crime was relatively minor. Estil of course was furious and accused Norenthal of succumbing to madness. When Estil later invited Norenthal to the grove where they first met to apologize, he betrays his brother and activates the runes he had set there to banish Norenthal to a land far,far away.
And thus, the elf being spent some months in the lower slopes of the Windlacer Mountains plotting his revenge... and trying to figure out what strange new land he had been sent off to. During his month's in exile, Norenthal fanatically began to concoct mixtures to try and create a deadly poison that would make one suffer the same extent the liquid within the Gloombark Warlocks vial would have. Being the ingenious conjurer he was in the Wizard's tower, he figured it would be something he may be able to accomplish in due time. However, he found that after many experiments in the mountain-side caves he had inhabited, it would take a much longer time than expected as the Gloombark Warlocks were the supreme masters of their craft. He did however make good headway into the profession and able to make a number of poisons and potions from a variety of materials and plants.
Weapons:
Estil's kris: A gift from Estil. The entire thing is quite ornate and made from the Blacksteel ore that is found in the deepest parts of the Dark Wood. Its a short weapon with wavy, serrated edges. The blade is of ashen color and shines weakly in the light.
Hatchet: Made from the same material as the hatchet. It has a wide, cruel looking head and is cold to the touch and dark as night. Estil had enchanted the hatchet to be somewhat lighter than it really is to help Norenthal as he has difficulty with heavier objects.
Skills:
Weapon-based combat: Norenthal is adept in fighting with hatched and dirk together and individually. He has the skills of a basically trained soldier after his adventures in the Dark Wood with Estil and can place a well aimed throw with this weapon.
Water Conjuration: Estil had once tried to show Norenthal how to conjure fresh water while trying to create drinks for the Master Wizard but instead Norenthal surprised him and conjured up a large globe of water with which he then threw at a unsuspecting apprentice passing through the hall. Remembering the laughs shared that day, Norenthal has come to see that the conjuration and manipulation of water may be a very useful skill in a great many things. He is able to create globes of water and can alter the currents within them. The magic is not bound to globes, and can be used to create any shape he desires. Norenthal may alter and move these manifestations of water in any way he wills in other words. However, he can only hold water in place for up to two minutes before he begins to tire. He also could only conjure five litres of water into the world per day and 1.5 litres at a time. He had experimented with the spell on many creatures in the wilderness and found that those of weak physical strength and small in size (like a badger) have much difficulty overcoming the currents Norenthal commands in the burst and usually could send them slipping onto the ground and being carried away for a time (most humans of lesser strength might be sent slipping along for two seconds), while a strong creature like the bear and can only be delayed for a single moment. However, a quick, sudden well-placed vertical wall of the water can do well to stop a charging beast in its tracks. Also at his current level, he must maintain the spell actively, not able to perform other tasks while maintaining the spell. Estil believes that Norenthal's potential with this ability comes from his Saurian or Naga heritage though he obviously needs to come a much longer way before it could ever become a feared asset.
Alchemy: Norenthal's obsession with poison eventually gave root to giving him a journeyman's ability in this art. He can create some basic poisons that could make lesser creatures sick or die but on ordinary people they are easily curable. He can also create some minor healing items.
Nimbleness: Norenthal is quite lean and agile, and thus can cover space relatively swiftly and can make leaps and bounds that the average person cannot. The sometimes dangerous tasks he had to perform in the unpredictable Dark Woods have it vital for every Raven Elf to be atleast a novice in acrobatics, which is the level Norenthal is currently at. It does fairly well to compensate for his physical shortcomings.
Equipment: Fiend Gator leather chest, boots, bracers and gloves and belt. (only difference than ordinary leather is that its black colors make it good for blending in with the night)
