Open for anyone, any number of people.

On a personal note, I'm not a very experienced RP'er, and don't have that good English skills. And if this goes anywhere I definitely won't make another long, hard to read post like this. So yeah, lets have a good time with this, take it anywhere you like.

He had awoke one month ago on a frosty plateau in the warm, melted snow on steaming ground. The area upon which he had awoken to consciousness once more was VERY much different from the land in which he awoke a day previous. The ground around him was littered with smoking violet shards; and the slushy earth directly beneath him still had the weak flickering from the scarlet light given off from a dying magic circle. Those arcane scraps were the only explanation he needed as to why he was suddenly being pelted by ferocious winds on a mountainside plateau and not back home in the Dark Forest. The realization that it was his brother that did this to him did not go well with Norenthal as he began to truly remember what had happened back in his homeland.

But that did not matter now, what mattered at the present was that he was finally escaping the last vestiges of mountainous terrain and on lower ground after many days of travel. The slopes of the Windlacer Mountains behind him were a terrible place and he had no intention of ever returning there again. Norenthal had poured his efforts into a month-long trek across rocky, dirt ground during many cold, windy nights. It seemed that his struggles were finally about to pay off.

The dawn was breaking, and his ragged, dark form had reached a rocky outcropping. Wide bloodshot eyes were now gazing upon long, blocky shapes scattered about in the distance as the sun began to break its first rays of light upon the empty, snow covered wilderness. Perhaps not so empty. The shapes upon the elf's glare were lodges. Two hours more and he would be there.

As he stood there with two folded arms leaning upon one leather bound foot placed on top of the rocks, he began to carefully survey the small settlement before him.

"Foolish."

Norenthal did not understand why anyone would desire to sleep in such a vulnerable place. There was absolutely nothing to stop anyone from finding the settlement as there were no trees or any landmarks of any sort to stop monsters from discovering the place...There was only the seemingly infinite field of white and patches of brown as far the eye could see.

The time the strange elf had spent in this new world had been terrible, and his mind had taken on a sense of uncaring. He began his new trek down the slippery slopes and shining violet lit snow towards the lone shapes in the far distance. He did not yet know what king of actions he would take upon reaching the place. Whether this new land had completely different people was not known to him, but the creatures he had seen in the mountains were definitely something he had never seen before. The sky too was something different, especially as the night ended. The clear dark blue expanse above him that was receding to violet and amber may have been pretty to behold but the lone dark figure slowly crossing the overwhelming white field that stretched for miles in nearly every direction had no warm hearted ideas for the things he would do this day.

This thread has been waiting for over a year. If you would like to complete it, or work on it further, you can PM myself or another staff member and ask for it to be moved. However, till that time, it will be resting in the Scara Brae Archive forum.

Thanks,
