This is merely an update to clarify a bit more about my character's personality, appearance, and history. Most of my character's appearance or history has remained the same, but been reworded for clarity. I haven't changed anything related to skills or equipment.

Here is a quick link back to my original character profile (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=17182)

Updates will be displayed in Blue

Name: Roith Bayraen
Age: 22
Race: Human
Hair Color: Dark Copper-Red
Eye Color: Forest Green
Height: 5 feet 10 inches
Weight: 210 pounds

*Occupation:
Past Occupations - Farmer, Hound Trainer
Current Occupation - Bandit

*Personality:
Most of the time he is calm and level headed, but not immune to occasionally giving in to the heat of the moment. As a child he had a violent temper, and as a result had to learn patience and self control. His past occupations only served to strengthen these two traits. He is intelligent and quick to learn but not a genius. Generally he is friendly and tolerant of people, as he lives in the gray area of morality, but that can change quickly depending on circumstances. He tends to have a soft spot for children, and usually goes out of his way to help them, even if he gets in trouble. Despite being a bandit, Roith isn’t the stereotype. He never harms innocent children, and he avoids harming women when he can, though sometimes circumstances dictate he must. In other words, Roith might be more inclined to hurt a woman who is trying to kill him. He also has a strange set of morals. For example, if he see’s two men in the process of robbing a woman and he knows that both men only intend to take her money and leave her alone. He probably won’t stop them from robbing her. If both of the men seem to want to rob her, and hurt/kill her he’d be more likely to step in, because now they’ve crossed the line from simply needing money to hurting a person simply because they can/want to. Before he did step in, he would also quickly consider the possible consequences of interfering. Also, if both of the men happened to be members of his bandit group he would be far less likely to interfere whether they meant her harm or not, simply because he cannot afford to become enemies with men that he might have to entrust his life too.

Appearance:

Tall and strongly built, Roith has short dark copper-red hair and an easy smile. He has an aura of calm confidence, but it’s subtle. As a bandit he learned how to blend in, and becoming nondescript has become a honed skill. At first glance you’d probably mistake him for a commoner because of his simple clothing and unassuming demeanor, but if you pay attention long enough you can notice the sharp intelligence in his eyes and the way me moves a little too smoothly for a farmer. He usually wears a brown bandanna to hide his conspicuous red hair, it’s less noticeable in Northwestern Salvar because it’s more common there, but almost everywhere else it sticks out like a sore thumb, something that should be avoided by thieves at all costs.

Personal History:
Roith grew up in a small fiefdom in Western Salvar, his father Laric Bayraen was a man at arms under the local lord, he was responsible for training the lord’s war hounds and managing the farms in one of the many towns located within the fiefdom. His mother, Lienna Bayraen, died from a sickness of the lungs when he was twelve. The particular town Roith’s father had charge of was named Redowin, located only 20 miles from the coast and 2 miles from the closest river. It was there that Roith learned the ways of the forests and the seas, the rivers and the earth. From a young age his father taught him swordplay, how to work the earth, and how to coax even the most stubborn of beasts into submission. His father also had tutors give him a basic education, so that one day Roith could become his successor. However, Roith had no intention of spending his life on a farm at the beck and call of an arrogant lord. So when he turned 16 he stole passage onto a merchant caravan headed for Knife’s Edge. Unfortunately, the caravan never made it; they were beset by an armed group of bandits called The Green Blades. Roith put up such a good fight they told him that he could either join them or die, and being a practical guy, he decided to take them up on their offer. He has been with them ever since.

Green Blades History:
The Green Blade’s have been raiding the coasts and trade routes of Althanas for over 20 years. Originally they were a band of farmer’s and foresters from Salvar that had to resort to banditry to feed their families during a particularly bad 3 year drought. The ruling Salvarian king at the time was too enmeshed in bringing some of the larger fiefdoms to heel he had no thoughts to spare for a few starving peasants. The local lords were also deadened to the commoner’s plight; usually nothing could rouse them to action unless it threatened their luxurious lifestyles. They soon developed a reputation among the rich and noble families due to the fact that all of their raids were concentrated against them. The common folk generally supported The Green Blades because they were a part of the common people, and they refrained from stealing from the general public. Don’t misunderstand however, they left the general populace alone mostly because they had nothing worth stealing, and stealing from nobles and wealthy merchants was more profitable. The fact that The Green Blades traded most of their stolen gold among smaller farming communities helped further their reputation for being ‘good’ bandits, but in reality it was simply safer to trade in small communities away from the law of big cities for their supplies. As the years passed all of the surviving founders hung up their figurative coats and went back to their previous occupations. The newer generations of Green Blades survived mostly off of their skill and cunning as opposed to the good will of the people that the previous generation had relied on. However most of the reputation of the original generation has transferred more or less intact to the new generation. Caution, prudent planning, and daring ingenuity are the new motto of the Green Blades and its one they strictly uphold. Due to their longevity as a group, The Green Blades are wanted in all of Salvar and in some parts of Fallien and Raiaera. Though due to certain precautions, most captives are proven useless in the search for its leaders. Also, despite their small claim to infamy, most of them are unrecognizable by the general populace. When they are recognized, it is mainly due to their signature green bandanna’s which are only worn during raids.

Skills:

Lock Picking - Below Average

Pickpocketing - Average

Hand to Hand combat - Average

Basic Survival Skills - Average - These are just things Roith would have learned while growing up. Since he lived in a farm/forested area near a river and was very outdoors oriented. Things like knowing how to hunt, set traps, make a fire, what where the best trees to sleep under, how to set up a tent, how to swim, how to fish, what plants were edible and which were poisonous. Mostly personal experiences that accumulated over the years he lived and explored the surrounding forests and rivers.

Basic Farm Skills - Average - Since Roith grew up on a farm, and his father was teaching him to become his successor these would include skills like knowing how to plow a field, knowing what soil is fertile and which is barren, knowing what kind of crops bring in the best prices, and which ones will sustain you through a long winter, how to build irrigation ditches, how to ride a horse and steer a cart. These are just examples but they include most of the things anyone who has to work and tend a farm would need to know how to do. ((This skill was mostly included for character background depth. It only stands to reason that he would have these kinds of skills after 16 years on a farm.))
