Name: Vandeski "Van" Ironwing
Race: Adar, wingless bird humaniods who were once very prevalent in every mountain all over the world millions of years ago, they were viewed as the protectors of the lesser races. They took part in a monumental battle took place when an order of necromancers known as The Council of Zelthuse attempted to take over corana with undead forces. The Adar managed to defeat the Council and their undead minions but at a heavy price. The war had reduced the entire Adaraian race down in numbers to little more then a hundred. Most scattered as more died from desease or murder from the lesser races leaving the survivors to hide. Today view know of the existance of the Adar or even their impact on the history of the world.

Nameless Greatsword: Nameless was forged by Van in his early years when he was 107 and has a four foot long steel blade with beautifully ingraved flower and vine design that is sewn into the blade. The fourteen inch long pommel is barley long enough for both of his hands and is very plain compared to the ornate blade except for the a small diamond shaped ruby inlade into the crossbar. Becasue of its immense size Nameless is a very unwieldy blade unless you were at least seven feet tall and possessed immense strngth. Nameless is a blade forged to be both beauty and battle. The only enchantments on the weapon are very simple but very usefull, Nameless will never rust or dull freeing Van of the tedious work required with a normal blade. At the time of its forgeing many weapons in existance were named, resulting in many weapons possessing the same name. To prevent such a thing from happening to one of his most prized possessions, Van simply called his great sword Nameless.
Steel Throwing Daggers: In his belt Van carries four eight inch throwing daggers that he his accurate up too twenty feet, But beyond that his accurancy decreases at a rate of 10% per foot.
Skills:
Stealth: Sense Van's feathers are mostly brown, he blends very well in a decidous forest such an advantage deos not work any were else.
Grace: Though Van is as large as a large orc, hundreds of years of training has given him the agility, speed, and finesse of an elf in his/her earlyer years. Essentially Van has 1.5x greater speed than the adverage human.
Strength: Van possessess the strength of a ogre. At one time Van out muscled a hill giant that had decided to set up shop in a cave that Van desired for his own. Essentially Van has 1.5x greater strangth then the adverage human.
Swordmanship: Given his hundreds of years he has trained with Nameless, He is very adept with the blade and is at an above adverage skill.
Blacksmith- Van can only use metals up to the strength of Plynt in his smithing. His quality of smithing is currently 'Below Average'.
Magic: Adar's as a whole have no magical ability what-so-ever, and Van is now exception of that. Becasue of this Van distrusts magic especially necromancy.
History:
Past: Van was not alive during the battle with the Council, but his parents were both survivers of the war and he was taught extensivly in the traditions and history of his people by them. His father disappeared when he was only 19 (this would be considered 3-4 in human standards), leaving his mother to raise him and continue his teachings. He knows little of his father now or why he left. Van learned everything from his mother and holds her in the highest regaurd and respect. When Van was 103 he paised the test of manhood with the forging of Nameless his greatsword.
Recent: Van now leaves his home, ashamed for not protecting his mother from group frost giants. Van ended up slaying every last one of them but not befor his mother took a spiked club directly in the beak and several in the back. She died with Van holding her in her last moments. He now goes out in search of his father or any other member of the Adarian race.
Personality: Over all Van is a very honorable and aloof person. That is untill you insult the easily offended bird humaniod or any of his dignified race, then all bets are off and all would be well advised to move out of the way. He is a man a little words and lots of action.
