Open recruitment call. Looking for level 0's-level 2's. I have an idea for a quick quest. Something solid, something fun. Basically here is the premise. After the events of The Second Age of Darkness (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=10551) Lorenor becomes the carrier of N'Jal. (Note: to protect Ithermoss' storyline, and pantheon of the Thaynehood, I am using an alternate version of N'Jal from a reality I created for Althanas. That way others can take advantage of this great story-telling tool) N'Jal's arrival means that the Second Age of Darkness (As prophesized in the Book of the Thayne) has returned to Althanas. With the rise of Xem'Zund (http://www.althanas.com/world/forumdisplay.php?f=193) in Raiaera the world is on the brink of darkness.

N'Jal signals the start of a new age of Althanas. And as always, I am calling for those "unknown and daring" writers of the site. I am ultimately looking for two adventurers who are inclined to darkness and evil. This is a quest for the dark side of the force and Sith Lords must unite. To use an easy analogy. I haven't written in a long time on Althanas and I am working on a couple of quests that are slowly being finished up. I am trying to get back on the Althanas horse and I need some help from my fellow Althanas writers. I am looking for dynamic writers, dynamic thinkers. People willing to write a dark and morbid story to show how twisted the world of Althanas has truly become.

And, in the process, become allies with my character, Lorenor. I am looking to make a big return to Althanas and take a few of our lesser known writers with me. So what do you think Althy? Any brave and bold newbies out there want to make a big splash? That's basically what I'm looking for. At least two skilled writers withing the level 0-2 range. I need you to be a frequent poster, at least like, once a week. I would like this quest to score as high quality as we could make it, so be prepared to come with the skills. I am looking for specific types of characters do don't be upset if you're not accepted, I will have other projects soon!

Anyway Althy, help an old vet out!

What sort of "dark" things are you looking to write about? My character (as of now) is not "dark" but this would be an easy storyline to add into my history after Rith's parents death from an explosion in the mountains of "somewhere". So this could help kickstart a real beginning for me somewhere else outside of Corone, which would be a nice added twist.

Also, I'm usually on here many times a week and if I'm not posting I'm reading. I can easily do a 1 post/week at the bare minimum since I have so much free time. Hell, I can even take my computer to work considering I live literally less than 100 feet away from it.

I am preferring characters with a Neutral to Evil Alignment for the story to work. Your character, being a Dwarf would probably fit as long as he doesn't let Dwarf ideals get in the way of whats going on. I prefer character(s) who don't have a set religion in their past already. Unless that religion is a dark one. There will be a lot of violence in this thread. Ritual sacrifice, that sort of thing. Lorenor is still learning the secrets of the Necronomicon (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=5938)
in order to appease his goddess, N'Jal.

Basically, what I am looking for is adventurers willing to team up with Lorenor and N'Jal and do really bad things to the cannon of Althanas. My ideas is to wreak havoc on the heroes of Althanas and have some fun in the process. Its time to get the ball rolling again. If you feel that Rith can be inclined to darkness and has a twisted line of morality then you can fit right into the quest.

The Necronomicon is a very vile book written in the Althanas' history by the followers of N'Jal. The three volumes contain bizarre rituals and incantations meant to empower the will of N'Jal and help bring about the Second Age of Darkness as was prophesized in the Book of the Thayne. Some of the followers of the Thayne don't want this to happen, so naturally, they will be attempting to stop Lorenor.

At this point in the story, Lorenor has become an influential member of something called the "Cult of N'Jal." He is one of the senior advisers to the leadership body of that group. If you decide to do this quest, you are involving yourself in a lot of cannon and history and the choices you make WILL be important. I'm ultimately trying to score well enough to get the story placed into cannon as this is connected to a larger meta-plot of mine. Anyway the books function on their own separately, but have greater power united. They are meant to make the disciples of N'Jal stronger and increase the influence of N'Jal.

So when N'Jal wills Lorenor to find a certain artifact (As mentioned in the above text) it becomes a race against time to overcome all obstacles and see if he can make the darkness the superior of the light. It is a very dark quest that I have planned meant to explore the psyche of evil characters. I hope you can join me on this run!

I'm looking to get Lisean right into the world of darkness and evil, and since my return to Althanas I'm looking for quests with an atmosphere welcome to him. Of course, this sounds like a good fit. Him being a necromancer thriving for knowledge from certain books (including the Book of Lemot), he'd more than likely jump at the opportunity of siding with a cult to do a handful of horrific deeds.

Of course, if you want morbid I'm going to have to pull a lot out. Haven't had the chance to write many horrid things, but I'm sure this quest is a great chance to really shape a true necromancer. If you're welcome to have me, I wouldn't mind joining.

Dude, you always have Dirge on your side, and Lisean and vigo would be a fun mix to toss in there...

Ah, there's probably better people suited for this type of quest though so I'm going to retract my offer. Rith though does believe that there is a god, he just does not follow one if you know what I mean. His personal morals are more important than following a god or a cult. So even though these things in a sense would be "bad" if he feels he's doing it for the right reason, there's no reason to feel remorse for his actions.

@Lisean- you're in. You're exactly what I'm looking for dude! I expect to have the introductory post up later tonight.

@Taskmienster-Contact me on AIM. We can discuss which character you want to use. You know I have a large respect for your roleplaying capacity. Dirge would make a good character for this story considering Lorenor and Dirge's past history.

@Rith-If you still want in, let me know. I can definitely fit you in.

The new quests are up for the PG so I think I'm going to see if I can focus on one of those instead along with the last bits of my solo then continuing it with the sigil as an expansion. I have set 3 as my limit and 4 I just can't commit to because, well, I'm lazy.

If we can keep the ball rolling with TRH, I'm sure we can do a thread together so I'm not to worried about it. I'd have to do more thinking than I would need to, to entwine this into his past and now that I think about it, I'm not up for really thinking about it. I just got excited haha.

I apologize for the double-post. Anyway the thread is located here (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?p=133377#post133377) and it is ready to go. The Roster is as follows:

@1--Lord Lorenor

@2--Lisean

@3--Dirge

@4--Uukan Kimari

And anybody else who wants in. The quest is meant for bad guys and those who are neutral. Anybody wishing to join The Red Hand can use this quest to get their Sigil Objects. I'll run this by Sorahn to make sure its cool by him. Anybody who just wants to rp a bad ass is also welcome to join. I am looking for maybe two other good people. But I don't want the roster to get too big. So respond to this thread and let me know if you are interested. I have big plans for this quest.

By the by, it takes place in the Red Hand's home base which is an encampment off of the Daggerfall Mountains. I want everybody there already. It doesn't matter how you get there, just get there and be standing outside of Lorenor's house.

Fellas that are in this quest already, feel free to use this thread to communicate with one another and plan tactics/strategy. This is gonna be an eventful thread and I have something big planned for the ending. But I don't want to spoil what it is. Just stick with the quest for the long-haul and things will cook. There will be some good rewards for the quest, pending mod approval of course. If you guys need to talk to me, I ccan be reached on AIM/MSN/and YIM. Actually the quest is still active. I have it linked right here (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=17538) and in fact its my turn. So yeah I am looking for one or two more people to compliment myself and Ranger. So Stormwolf if you are interested still please send me a message via Althanas and we can work out the details. This thread is STILL active. The actual quest I mean. I just have been a bit busy in other threads but me and Ranger will eventually finish it up. I hope that clears things up.
