It had been a few weeks since it had happened, the day the winged man fell from the sky in a golden light and shook the very earth, rising from a molten pit of stone and flame, the angel rose.
Since that day, Xander had taken it upon himself to seek forgiveness; He was pushed into committing one of the greatest sins and then abandoned by the one who he trusted, If he ever came across him again, He would make sure they quickly met their demise. In the time he had wondered on his own, he often found himself getting into trouble since he didn’t understand this complex world, and the more he travelled, the more sins he committed.
Xander was getting the stares he always got, He often found himself surrounded by more people than anyone else, since most people believe in some sort of heavenly winged creature, most knew what he was. An angel, the six beautiful white wings gave it away, they were easily the length of his body. He would often find himself confronted with holy men, looking to find the answers of....everything, They gave him a place to say and the supplies he needed but he could never really help any of them, He was a nobly born Angel but because of this, no-one really expected him to do anything, Until that one day.
Xander was standing about, trying his best to look as un-busy as possible so that he would be given something to do, He was so bored. ‘Someone is coming, look busy.’ he had thought to himself not knowing the dark intentions that this mysterious creature held for him. “Hello.” The other angel greeted merrily. “Um, hello?” Xander responded, wondering if he was really the one being spoken too. “I was wondering if you could help me, I’m looking for someone that’s a fresh slate to learn a few things.” The mysterious angel said to him.
‘That’s a strange thing to ask’ his first thoughts told him but they were completely overwhelmed by his second thoughts screaming ‘Hey, that’s something even I can do!’ “I...I could do it.” He said shyly thought he was filled with excitement. “Goooood.” The angel replied with a short but malicious grin.
It wasn’t long until the two were friends, always together and always talking, Xander was extremely happy about this, It was fun however, his friend had other intentions, slowly he changed, he began to talk differently, He began forcing Xander to do what he wanted, and being lonely Xander did.
Xander had gotten on peoples nerves since he made his new friend, He was shunned by his family and given looks of disgust from others. He was sick of it, he hated them all. “You are my friend right?” Xander asked, not too convinced that he was. “Of course I am, you’re a great friend, so kind and helpful always willing to help me out. I would even say you are my best friend, because I’m sure you would even get rid of someone that was bullying me...” His friend said, obvious that he had more to say. “I...Is someone?” Xander asked hesitantly. “Well....those men, that guard the door... the one we walk past all the time....but...” the acting skills of his friend were impressive, Xander interrupted him by clenching his fist and summoning the orbs that were his birthright.
Being of noble blood, Xander has an arcane magic that constantly surrounds him, embodied in 8 golden orbs, the power in his family past down for generations, awakens.
This place looked just like all the others, everything was white and plain, there was no wind, no temperature, but a thick endless mist that covered the floor. The arched double doors were the same as any other, It could easily be overlooked if on its own, but the five, fully equipped heavenly guards made it obvious this door was special. Xander had begun to walk down the bright, long empty wide corridor, His eyes fixed on the men that looked like statues, never moving, never making a sound, and they stood and waited. The orbs around Xander grew and changed shape with every step; they contained an evil within them that he fed until he was stood directly in front of the five.
They towered over his slim body, there stares burrowing deep inside him, maybe this wasn’t such a good idea, but he couldn’t stop now. He and his orbs had become motionless just like the guards, It was the kind of moment where a gust of wind would set the perfect tone, but instead everything stood still. The dyed red, golden blade drew itself from the skull of one of the guards, The ear piercing it made as it scraped against the metal right through the other side, was enough to make the guards move. They were the few allowed to be violent but even they had never seen blood before. The spray through the back of the helmet as the blade drew out, almost covered the wall before the body fell to the floor, an orchestra of metal falling to the floor. Before anyone could react, another blade had forced itself between a gap in another’s cuirass, impaling there heart with great force, making them fall back into the thick mist, completely enshrouding the armour. Two of the guards that had overcame the shock quickly moved in on the young angle that hadn’t moved apart from when he began to laugh at the fun he was having. One grabbed his arm but it soon withdrew as 2 more of the blades pierced through the armour and made the towering guard scream in pain. The other drew his sword and shield and lunged towards the boy. Two of the golden orbs shot towards his arm, forming a gauntlet of transparent golden light, beautifully crafted. His arm shot out and grabbed the advancing blade, 1 strike, ripping it from his arms and forcing him to turn around, launching the blade into the air, making it spin, Xander grabbed the handle and forced it into the flimsy armour that defended the guards neck, the blade emerged from the chest but only the blood could be seen as proof. The hiss of another blade being drawn echoed through the hall. As the body fell between the two remaining angels Xander was met with a rushing guard who grabbed the handle sticking out of his colleague’s neck and pulled it out. Xander had no time to react the blade came down and would have removed his arm if the gauntlet didn’t stop the blade once it had gotten a centimetre down, 2 strikes. Now Xanders arms were crossed, there was no way he could retaliate. “Die you devil!” the last remaining guard cried as he thrust the second blade forward. Xander forced the blade imbedded in his arm up, screaming as he did so and pushed it away, 3 strikes, his body had moved but the blade still cut along Xanders stomach, it was shallow, but for someone never cut before, it was almost unbearable. He continued to spin his own body, calling the last two orbs available into his palm and forming into an inverted sword, piercing dead centre of the guards torso, carrying the movement on Xander turned once more and brought the gauntlet to the helmeted face of the guard, 4 strikes, Smashing the gauntlet into tiny shards and sending the guard into the door, forcing it open.
