Hello everybody,

I was searching for a way to improve my writing, when chance brought me to Althanas. I have never rped by post before but it seems interesting and fun. So please let me know if I'm doing something wrong. I am currently reading about the different regions and am trying to find a good place within which to fit my character.

Peace,

Caller-

Hiya Caller and welcome to Althanas!

Please keep your arms and legs inside the forum at all times or they may be removed by rabid, zombified characters. Do not feed the following people: Serilliant, Christoph, Letho, oren, Bloodrose, Max Dirks, Lucien, Caden Law and Taskmienster for they may become attached to you afterwards and are hard to get rid of. Any screams you may now be experiencing are the sounds of dying characters. Do not be alarmed for they shall be revived in new and inventive ways the following thread. Have a nice day. ^^

Well, on top of althanas being a play by post forum, we're also a writing workshop and strive hard to help people improve upon the skills they already have. The most important thing someone can tell you here is not to be discouraged by the scores that completed/submitted threads receive when judged. If you take the advice and look at it as it is meant to be viewed, constructive criticism meant to help you improve, you'll do fine. Don't look at it as the judge knocking you down.

Also, if you have any questions or concerns feel free to ask them here or PM one of the moderators. Each region has it's own specific writer, so if you want to ask something about one of them, PM that writer. If you don't know who that writer is, you can always ask, almost all the members know the specific writers.

Anyway, if you want help with your writing you've come to the right place. The important thing is to have fun or you will get burnt out quickly. So, Welcome to Althanas!
