Now we can get back to teaching the daughters of America to be anorexic and high-maintenance rather than gutter sluts! (http://money.cnn.com/2008/12/04/news/companies/bratz_dolls.ap/index.htm?postversion=2008120406)
I've been waiting for this day for years.

I'm highly outraged. In this economy, it's unwise to bankrupt such a thriving industry as kid's size fishnets.

From a creative business perspective, it disturbs me that they're able to shut the Bratz down because the creator was working for Mattel when he came up with them, even though he created them for himself or for a rival company. It sets a bad precident.
From a cultural standpoint, good frickin' riddance. Barbie may be godawful for little girls in terms of appearances, but come on. Barbie's been everything from a fantasy princess to a doctor to a pilot. Even if she's only modernized her goals in the past few years, at least Barbie's tryin'.
