Yeah. Whoo. Tournament, yay.
Erm. Following guy is the one I wanna sign up. Probably severely underpowered, I tend to lean towards realistic, plus I don't know about all that level 5 stuff (I'm from the RPGateway, so sorry). Anyway, I'll give it a shot.
Name: Emilio LuĂ*s de la Costa
Age: 20
Race: Human
Hair Color: Chestnut Brown
Eye Color: Dark Green
Height: 178 cm
Weight: 67 kgs
Occupation: Thief
Personality: Emilio, while not unfriendly, isn't the kind of guy you like to have a conversation with. Sometimes smooth as the finest silk, sometimes harsh as a blizzard, he always finds a way to circle around you and pin you against yourself.
... That aside, he's not shy. Borderline psycho would be a better way to describe it. Not afraid of what people might think of him, he only does what he feels like, or what might prove good for him.
Appearance: Messy, brown, slightly curling hair hangs down over dark green, perfectly oval eyes. His face has a pleasant shape to it, thin, lightly tanned and with a certain aesthetic beauty. A faint, nearly mocking smile is nearly always on his face.
Emilio has a peculiar clothing style. In overall looks, it is reminiscent to a gentleman's attire. A plain white dress shirt, a navy blue sleeveless jacket over it, unbuttoned and loosely hanging around, a pair of padded leather gloves hanging out of his chest pocket. Similarly blue pants, a slim fit just above the waist. Blue and black dress shoes finish his attire.
The one remarkable thing, however, are a striking presence of chains. They hang from his jacket, his pants, to and fro, short and long, in almost every shape and size. Remarkable, they are indeed.
Also worth noting are the two meticulously crafted holsters strapped around his torso, under his arms. Two handguns nearly always reside in them.
Weapons:
- If it can be considered a weapon... himself. He's a proficient martial artist. More on this in Skills/Abilities.
- Aforementioned handguns, twin M1911A1 pistols, loaded with .45 ACP rounds. Completely standard, except for a matte black paintjob all over.
- 4 extra clips, two for each gun. (28 rounds total)
Armor:
- When donned, his gloves offer reasonable protection to his hands.
- His chains could also be seen as a form of 'armour', if you will, though this would require an incredible feat of luck.
Skills/Abilities:
- He is, as stated before, is quite an exceptional martial artist, though he rarely needs to display his prowess. Mostly trained in kickboxing and Muay Thai, he has picked up certain aspects of other styles and incorporated them into what could be called a personal art. His level of skill is, indeed, quite high; the chance of fooling him in close combat is relatively slim.
- Mostly thanks to his thieving existence, he's grown to be a good shot with his pistols, although for some reason he like to throw in an unneeded level of elegance. Mind you, though; he might be good, but he's not perfect. For example, a line of sight is often appreciated.
- Overdrive: The Overdrive is a strange little skill, which went unnoticed until the first time it kicked in. Basically, it gives Emilio superhuman skills. His strength and speed are increased exponentially (about 3x for both), as well as manifesting his energy in a physical way. This energy can be used in close combat, as it's controlled rather easily, as well as serving as a possible augmentation for his handguns by loading it into the rounds themselves. This is only possible for a limited amount of time, though; it is physically tiring, and can only be sustained for so long without aftereffects.
History:
Emilio's youth was nothing especially outstanding. Just the average, neglected kid in just another poverty-stricken area. Why don't we skip the melancholic story of his childhood, and go to the interesting part: the part where he starts his robbing and thieving career.
Indeed, he kicked off with petty thievery and hold-ups, gaining whatever he could, wherever he could. As he grew older (he's about 14 here), so did his reputation. The people's general weariness led to him getting caught quite often; a situation he'd often find himself in, followed even more often by fighting his way out. This course of action proceeds to spiral upwards, Emilio's skill increasing every time.
After some time, he started getting serious with his fighting skills, as well as picking up a pair of handguns. Reputations rarely stay small, you see, and people get dangerous after a while. Seeing as the age of sixteen is the perfect age to start a murderous, plundering and thieving career, he set off into the wide world, to grow stronger and more famous, and to achieve power; the latter for no particular reason other than "It'd be pretty cool, I guess."
Now twenty years of age, he's no longer a little boy. Both in appearance and skill, he's grown remarkably, even past human bounds. Some consider him an old wives' tale, others claim to have seen him in the flesh. Everywhere he goes, though, he seems to leave an impression not only as a thieving rat, but as something inhuman.
"Yeah, right. I'm not that good, but I'll kick your ass. So save your time and don't try to prove me wrong."
