Ok, so i see BlackAndBlueEyes posted the game and book versions of this, but as music is SUCH an influential part of my life and writing I thought it would be cool to see what some of you guys listened to.

Ok so RIGHT NOW I am listening to: Wild Horses ft. Adam Levine - Unplugged - Alicia Keys

Dunno why, just felt in a jazz/blues/Alicia Keys kinda mood

I really am an album person and rarely listen to itunes with random on. On my phone the ring tone is "Supermassive Black Hole" by one of my fave bands, Muse. My alarm tone is "Thriller" and I have such a freakin wide range of music, some tastes that shame (Bon Jovi :o) and some classic rock and of course classical music.

Lately I have been novel writing and have had Tarja, Damien Rice, Snow Patrol and the FF:Advent Children OST playing mostly. Oh and some Nightwish (I know these guys are not everyone's cup of tea but I am easily pleased, I even like the new album with the new lead singer. :P )

Right now, listening to "Smells like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana.

"Sympathy for the Devil" by GnR or the Stones is a GREAT song for writing evil characters though. Won't you guess my name, oh yeah?

In general, my favorite bands would be: Nine Inch Nails and Nirvana and anything along that vein. Alternative Rock, Alternative Metal, Industrial, Grunge, and so on and so forth. I also like a lot of classic rock too though, like the Stones. Lots of other stuff though, it entirely depends on my mood.

Right this second I am listening to my Lilly Allen radio station on Pandora which can be loosely described as, "Ladies with British accents singing whatever plus some other stuff".

My my, I live on Pandora, I love that site. Put in Tool, get amazing late 90's and grunge music. I also have channels for Underoath, 30h!3, Mindless Self Indulgence, Underoath, Finch, and Mozart.

You people obviously have no idea how to live. You will after hearing these guys.

"Vonal Declosion," by Stereolab.
My playlist currently consists of mainly The Sea And Cake, Stereolab, Modest Mouse, My Bloody Valentine, and Pinback.

And, yeah. I love Pandora. I can't believe the shit that I've been missing out on. I literally got a list of something like a dozen bands from an hour of listening.

Pandora hates Canada, so I'm using Musicovery.

For the ones I listen to the Most, it'd be The Beatles, Radiohead, Muse, Jethro Tull, Queen, Genesis and David Bowie. Opeth was up there, but haven't listened to them in a while.

Recently been high on 'Street Spirit' by Radiohead, but currently listening to 'This Night has Opened my Eyes', by The Smiths.

I'm currently listening to Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz.

I won't go into what I like right now, 'cause I'd need like ten minutes or so. It's pretty much anything but rap, black metal or country. Say Muse, mah Lenny mentioned above, the White Stripes, Guns 'n Roses, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Nightwish, et cetera.

David Bowie, The Cure, Depeche Mode, The Damned, Iggy Pop, Klaus Nomi, Alice in Chains, System of a Down, Nine Inch Nails, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Nirvana, Queen.

I've been listening to The Best of Bowie for months, so that's taken up a lot of space on my computer. However, South Park was completely right; Disintegration is the best album ever.

Alright, nobody jacks my thread titles and gets away with it! *steals an admin's banhammer and swings it wildly at Phoenix*

Well, I'm big into old school video game music (NES era, specifially) and have about three mix cds full of various tunes. Kirby's Adventure, Dragon Warrior 3, Mega Man 2, and Journey to Silius happen to be my three favorite vg soundtracks of all time.

Speaking of vidjagame music, I just downloaded and listened to the soundtrack to Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure (http://www.henryhatsworth.com/en_us/home.action). It is all different kinds of awesome, and you'll definitely want to check this out. The soundtrack is free and located somewhere in the "downloads" tab.

I've also got the official OSTs for Mega Man 9, Metal Slug 7, Smash Bros. Brawl, Persona 4, and Eternal Poison stashed somewhere around my apartment.

But as for "real" music, I enjoy listening to all kinds of jazz. Some of my favorite non-jazz artists are Modest Mouse, The Hives, No Doubt, New Pornographers/Neko Case, Muse, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Living End, The Killers, and a whole bunch of other artists I'm too lazy to remember at the moment.

Oh, and Nieve.Roja? Your avatar rocks. I thought that I was the only person around that knew about KoF.

Homage! Homage! HOMAGE!! *catches banhammer in the arse*

>_>

So yeah, listening to the radio right now. Richard Bacon on BBC Radio 5 Live.

(Seriously though, didn't mean to hijack your thread/titles/traditions or anything. Y'all can change the title to "Wotchoo Biatches Listenin To?" if ya really want. :P)

I like pretty something from pretty much every genre barring...whatever the heck it is style that Van Der Graaf Generator plays, and even that I can listen to every once in a blue moon.

Right now I am listening to a song called English Summer by How We Live, which is a horribly wonderfully cheesy 80s sounding pop song from a band that was fronted by h, my musical hero, better known as the replacement lead singer form my current obsession band Marillion who have wrecked my last.fm stats (http://www.last.fm/user/ErrantEvermore) for forever and a day now. I will never recover from that hole.

When not shoving more Marillion into my brain, I enjoy Dire Straits, The Clash, The Cure, Billy Idol, Jethro Tull, Dream Theater, Switchfoot, Fall Out Boy, The Beatles, CCR and a plethora of things that are not coming to mind right now, but my two second favorites are Genesis and Pink Floyd.

If I were to have a list of favorite albums, it'd probably include Marillion's Clutching at Straws (http://www.last.fm/music/Marillion/Clutching+at+Straws), Brave (http://www.last.fm/music/Marillion/Brave) and Afraid of Sunlight (http://www.last.fm/music/Marillion/Afraid+of+Sunlight), Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon (http://www.last.fm/music/Pink+Floyd/Dark+Side+of+the+Moon), The Final Cut (http://www.last.fm/music/Pink+Floyd/The+Final+Cut) & The Division Bell (http://www.last.fm/music/Pink+Floyd/The+Division+Bell), Genesis's The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway (http://www.last.fm/music/Genesis/The+Lamb+Lies+Down+On+Broadway), A Trick of the Tail (http://www.last.fm/music/Genesis/A+Trick+of+the+Tail) and Wind & Wuthering (http://www.last.fm/music/Genesis/Wind%2B%2526%2BWuthering), Dire Strait's Alchemy (http://www.last.fm/music/Dire+Straits/Alchemy+%28disc+1%29), Fish's Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors (http://www.last.fm/music/Fish/Vigil+in+a+Wilderness+of+Mirrors), and Dream Theater's Scenes from a Memory (http://www.last.fm/music/Dream+Theater/Metropolis+Pt.+II%3A+Scenes+From+A+Memory), Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (http://www.last.fm/music/Dream+Theater/Six+Degrees+of+Inner+Turbulence) (disc two (http://www.last.fm/music/Dream+Theater/Six+Degrees+of+Inner+Turbulence+(disc+2)), anyways) & Octavarium (http://www.last.fm/music/Dream+Theater/Octavarium).
