PART 2

While walking out of the doors, Evan passed several hostages, screaming for their lives. Evan did not pay attention to it. He just kept walking and went over to the back of his SUV, placing his weapon on the hitch.

"SMITTY!" Evan yelled, calling over the weapons technitian. "How many times do I have to tell you to not mess with my rifle?"

Smitty stood back, feeling very regretful. "I'm sorry, Ice. I just-" Evan stopped him before he could another word in edge wise.

"Don't say sorry. Sorry can get a person killed. You know that." Evan then stood before him, making Smitty have a gulp in his throat. "Open the door and have a seat. We need to talk." Just as he said, Smitty opened the door and sat against the seat, feeling very stiff against the cushion. Evan then sighed as he put a foot onto the railing of the step. "I need to ask you something. Why did you fire my weapon without my permission?"

"Well... I wanted the experience. Your rifle is the best on the force, to me, and I thought that if I could get the rifle fixed, then I could fire it, test it, and then get the experience. I don't know when I'll be out on the job and under fire." Smitty then put his head down, lookingat the ground.

"Look at me, Smitty." Evan put his hand on his chin and pulled his head up. "All you had to do is ask. Okay? It's not that hard." Evan then pulled out his rifle and checked the clip, seeing a bullet incorrectly put into the magazine. "And make sure you load the magazines correctly next time. Okay?"

"Okay."

"It's gonna be alright, but be very aware of it next time. Sometimes there will be a time when you are the only one to stop them."

"Okay." Smitty then moved his feet toward the rail, getting ready to leave.

"That is why I am going to give you my rifle." Evan then cocked the hammer, loading a single bullet into the chamber. Smitty saw the opportunity to take it, but froze with his hands in place. "Go on. Take it." Smitty with no hesitation grasped the rifle gently.

"Thank you, sir." Smitty felt like hugging him at that moment.

"Dismissed." Evan then walked to the back of his SUV, checking inventory. Mark, walking very casual, saw what Evan did and was very curious as to why he did so.

"Did I just see the raw nerve going soft?" Mark crossed his arms.

"Eh, I didn't like that rifle anyways." Evan said while clicking rifle rounds into a Beta C-magazine. "Besides... I wanted to use a new weapon I got." He then pulled out a G36C with an ACOG scope, Foldable Stock, a 40mm AG-C Grenade Launcher, and a 100 Round Beta-C Magazine. "Got it from the chief as a 10 year gift. Cost me $2000 for everything, but $2000 itself for the grenade launcher."

Mark's eyes widened as he saw the weapon. "How did you get approvals for all of these modifications?"

"Got approvals from the mayor, the govenor, and the reasonably the state. They put my case up to state, and approved the modifications to only be used as it's exact purpose." Evan then started to take every modification off, putting the G36C on the hitch.

"I thought you only had one weapon." Mark said, looking at the rest of his inventory.

"I don't. I have about 50 weapons, including grenade launchers, rifles, shotguns, pistols, you name it." Evan said pulling out his DSA-58OSW - a select-fire "sawed off" FN FAL clone made by DS Arms (USA) for police use, then putting his modifications on it. On it he had an ACOG scope, M203 Grenade Launcher under the barrel, Laser Aiming Device, and specially customized 45-round 7.62 NATO Magazines.

"You really have lost it, have you?" Mark asked, acting very supersticious to what Evan was going to do next.

"Oh, don't fuss." Evan said, putting the rifle down. "I got you an early gift." He then grabbed a wrapped gift from the far back of his trunk, pulling out something big. Mark, very friendly, unwrapped it, holding onto an M4A1 Carbine with an ACOG Scope.

"Wow! I mean...WOW! Thanks, partner." Mark said, gripping the rifle with the safety on. "This is great, but how?"

"I won it in a game of Poker against an old partner of mine. Thought I'd give it to you since I already have three of them."

"Well, thanks." Mark said, putting the rifle in his Jaguar XF 2008, placing it into the back seat. "So, what are your plans?"

"I'm not sure. I'll probably go home and make myself some good food while watching some TV. You?"

Mark sighed. "Well... you could come over to my parents with me."

"That would be nice. Thanks." Evan said while pulling out his Ruger SR9, checking the clip. He then heard chatter over the radio, making him look over at his radio.

"Attention all units! Attention all units! Shots fired at O'Hare Airport. I repeat, shots fired at O'Hare airport. Request SWAT and heavy weaponry. Suspects are heavily armed with AK-47s and wear body armor. Suspects have taken hostages. We have taken casualties. Request support." The radio then clicks out to a barrage of fire. Screams are heard into the radio, making it very difficult to hear anything else.

"MEN! SADDLE UP! Smitty, You're in charge here." Evan said while loading three men and himself into his truck, meanwhile Mark taking three other men and himself in his Jaguar. Immediately in the car, they both put their sirens on. "Who are all of you?"

"Casper, sir."
"Mitchell, sir."
"Pierce, sir."

"You guys armed properly?" Evan asked, glaring at Pierce through the rear view mirror.

"I have an MP5-K with no stock." Pierce said, clicking the slide.

"Um... Drop it and grab the HK11E in the back. How about you, Casper?" Evan said then turning his head.

"I have an MP5A3 with a fixed stock." Casper said, reloading a full clip.

"Hmm... Keep it but grab some more ammunition from the back when we stop. I think I have a few drums on me."

"Yes, sir." Casper said, unloading the clip he just loaded.

"So, Mitchell, what do you have?" Evan said, glaring in the rear view again. Mitchell froze, not saying a word.

"Mossberg 500 Persuader, sir." Mitchell then pumped one shot into the barrel, getting ready to exit the vehicle.

"Easy cowboy. Besides... shotguns won't help us today. Not now at least. When we stop, grab a G3KA4 from the back. It has an fold-in stock and an ACOG sight for you."

"Yes, sir."

"Now you boys are here under my service now. Welcome. Now I am Sergeant Berg, but you can call me Ice. Understood?" Evan said with a normal look on his face. "I want you all to work diligently today. This isn't going to be a walk in the park." The car did not stop for a second. It just kept going, as if there were no traffic.

After a few minutes of being on the highway, they reached O'Hare, seeing the pitiful obomination. What they saw would scar them for life.

On the outskirts of the runways were hundreds of thousands of military trucks, all unloading soldiers and equipment into the terminal. Other soldiers saw SWAT and other Police officers covering their tracks, but they could not do anything. After a few minutes of the soldiers working, Police officers surrounded the terminal, putting up road barricades, Road Blocks with their cars, and arming themselves with standard weaponry: H and K MP5A3s with 30-round magazines, Beretta M92FS with 15-round clips, Mossberg 500A shotguns, M16 Assault Rifles, Glock 17 Pistols, Steyr AUG Assault Rifles, M82A1 Sniper Rifles, Steyr SSG Sniper Rifles, AI AWM Sniper Rifles, and Galil Assault Rifles, aimed at the terminal.

"Boy, they must be ready for war." Mitchell said, looking through the window.

"I don't know, but we are not letting them leave the terminal without a warm Windy City welcome." Evan said, stopping near a SWAT truck with a Jaguar close-by. "Mark, do you see those things?"

"Yea, I did." He said, putting on SWAT gear and Body Armor. "We just got word that those soldiers are Venezuelan. They are mercenaries sent to take over the Nation. Reports have come in at Midway, in New York, California, they're everywhere. We so far are the only responding forces able to stop it. I haven't gotten any word on the other forces, but be ready." He finished putting his helmet on, cocking his new rifle. "I guess this will really come in handy." Mark then ran off to the blockade of cars in front of the terminal, called the front line.

"Suit up. Like I said, grab the weapons I told you to." Evan said looking at the men. He also was getting his gear, grabbing his weapons. He grabbed his DSA-58OSW, his Ruger SR9, Plenty of magazines for the rifle and grenade shells for the launcher, Plenty of clips for the pistol, and a sawn-off shotgun armed with 'Elephant' Shells, 20 spare. He did not need much armor, but he needed a Bulletproof vest, Padded Foam helmet, and a satchel for all of his ammo.

"You guys ready?" Evan asked the men, watching them arm their rifles. Mitchell, grabbing the G3KA4 with the ACOG Scope, kept his shotgun for good use, but also grabbed a LAW from the back, grabbing no other rockets along.

"Hey, Mitchell, grab three more rockets for that thing. We may need it." Evan said, grabbing another weapon. He picked the M202 Flash Rocket Rod Launcher from where the spare tire would be and took one pod along, loading it into the launcher. Casper and Pierce took what they needed and more, with Casper also grabbing a Milkor MGL and Pierce taking an M79 Grenade Launcher from the SWAT truck.

"How do you have all this stuff?" Casper asked, loading the MGL.

"I have alot of contacts from around the nation." Evan said. "I just give my weapons to the Department though, so that we can be ready."

"For what?" Pierce asked.

"Something like this, he means." Mitchell said, putting the launcher over his shoulder and the shotgun next to the launcher and holding the G3KA4.

"Are we all ready now?" Evan asked, putting the M202 over his shoulder with his rifle in his right hand. They complied once, watching several go on at the terminal. "Let's go." Running down to the 'front line', they found at least fifty officers behind the cars, hiding behind them for cover. There they found Mark and several SWAT team members behind the truck.

"Mark, what's going on now?" Evan asked, putting a grenade into the underbarrel launcher.

"We are going to try sending a robot in to see how many men are there." Mark said, holding a robot controller.

"Well there's another way to do that." Casper said, breaking the small silence.

"How by god's name do you know?" Mark asked, lowering the controller.

"Well... there's two ways we can do this. While Ice was driving, I saw a small trench at the end of a runway, plus broken fence to get through. Then, I saw a military truck placed by, crawling with soldiers around the hangars."

"What are you getting at?"

"What I'm saying is... we take... thirty men and flank 'em. We blow up a few planes with explosives, ground them and push 'em through the front, meanwhile team 2, armed up with... 100 men armed with the finest equipment, runs through the doors and shoots through, trapping the army. Then, if there's any luck, we'll search the rest of the hangars for any survivors and eliminate them." Casper finished with those words and everyone staring at him.

"Ice?"

"I like it. I think it might work." Evan said, looking at Casper nicely. "Okay, Casper, here's your chance to impress me. Pick thirty wise men and go on the task. Meanwhile the rest of us will stay here and wait for your signal. If anything goes wrong, just say the word FUBAR and I, myself, and a few other men will come to your aid, and the plan will keep going. Meanwhile, if that does happen, we will have another plan. We will arm the planes with explosives. Just if they try to escape, we will first let them get on the plane and then we will blow it. That's only if Casper radios in the word FUBAR. Once he says it, me, Mark, and three of the best men will come to your aid ASAP. Clear?"

"Yea, clear Sir." Casper said, holding the radio.

"Good. Get going."
