Appearance
Despite the fact that he is a demon, he looks mostly human, except for his red eyes, 3ft. long prehensile tail, and wolfish canines. His skin has a natural tan, while the skin on his tail has a dark copper tint to it. Because he's no stranger to manual labor, he has developed a lean, muscular build. On the right side of his neck, he has a red tattoo in the shape of a circle with three curved points that resemble the blades of a ninja star. Slayn keeps his hair cut short and as even as possible in the back and on the sides and long on top. He has sideburns that reach the middle of his ears.
He always wears black pants, black leather boots, a dark blue sleeveless shirt and an old waist-length black leather jacket. On his left wrist he wears a leather gauntlet that has a gray wolf pattern sewn onto it. He wears a silver ring on the middle finger of his left hand that's in the shape of a wolf's head & has 2 red stones for eyes. Legend says that the stones are from the hottest part of the Underworld. The ring was passed down to him from his mother.
Personality
His profession taught him to keep his emotions to a minimum. Despite his controlled appearance, he is an easygoing, slow to anger, kinda guy with little to no patience for heroes. He isn't the type to play hero and, more often than not, keeps to himself unless someone else's affairs affect him personally. He's self-centered without being narcissistic. He looks out for himself . He believes in loyalty and honesty as long as they prove useful to him. He enjoys life and speaks his mind. Like most of his kind he enjoys a good fight and finds a primordial pleasure in chaotic situations. He also has a deep mistrust of religions and those that follow them. He isn't much of a talker because he's learned that listeners learn more.
Weapons/Armor
He carries a steel Highland Claymore(4 ft.) in a brown leather scabbard on his back. Strapped to his left boot is a steel Scottish dirk with a leather wrapped handle(17 in.) and strapped to his right forearm is a Sgian Dubh("black dagger") with a double-edged steel blade and a leather wrapped handle(used mainly for eating and emergencies,about 8 ½ in.). He has no real armor to speak of except an old worn leather cuirass that he found discarded by the side of the road. It serves a more decorative purpose than anything else.

Skills
Slayn's demon heritage provides him with above average strength(which he uses to wield his sword), a strong immune system, and heightened senses(sight, hearing, & smell) which gives his tracking ability a boost. Because of the extreme temperatures of his home world, Helos, he has a high tolerance of fire but he has an aversion to cold. Unlike most demons, he has no magical ability whatsoever. Because of his lack of magical ability, Slayn has had to compensate with his skill with a sword and knives. He was told that he has the potential to be a weaponsmaster and strives towards that goal. He possesses average skill with a sword and his knife throwing technique(with his tail) is slightly below average. He has no skill in any other weapons yet and is no where near becoming the weaponsmaster that he seeks to be.
History
The demons of Helos, Slayn's home world, were divided into Prides. The Prides were made up of several families led by a single leader, an Alpha, with each Pride willing to betray another to advance themselves in the name of genetic superiority. Among the demon Prides, there were three(Gray Wolf Pride, Tiger Pride, & Draco Pride) that formed an alliance, of sorts. Each Pride trained a warrior to represent it, and the three warriors worked together to advance the Prides. While the Prides retained their individuality, collectively they became known as the Triumvirate, and the three warriors became known as the Triad. After a few generations the Triad, originally designed to protect the interests of the Triumvirate, quickly became mercenary/assassins/bounty hunters who would work for the highest bidder, despite the Pride, or lack thereof.
Aside from the humans and demons, there was another race on Helos. They called themselves the Clerics and claimed to be the descendants of angels. The entire race dedicated themselves to restoring and maintaining order throughout the planet, and they perceived the demon Prides to be their biggest obstacle. In response to the formation of the Triumvirate the Clerics created the Zealots, a group of, extremely religious warrior-priests whose mission was to "fix" the demon "problem."

Slayn, born in the Gray Wolf Pride, was a 7th generation member of the Triad after his mother. His father was the Alpha of his Pride. Slayn had a relatively normal childhood until the age of 8 when his training began. For twelve years, his mother trained him in the skills he would need as a member of the Triad(swordplay, stealth techniques, tracking, and the assassin arts.) After his training, he received the tattoo that represented the Triad and was officially a member. Slayn held his position for 5 years until while on an assignment, he was ambushed and captured by a group of Zealots. Slayn then spent the next 10 years being tortured and studied by the Cleric scientists and priests before he escaped.
Upon his return home, he discovered that the once great and mighty Triumvirate had been disbanded when the Alpha of the Phoenix Pride, Zarian Stark, united the demon prides under his rule. Having had his full of servitude, Slayn became an tracker/assassin-for-hire. He took jobs from humans, demons, and clerics alike as long as the money was good. Because he was a demon with no magic ability his name spread quickly in the underworld of all three races. Those that remembered him, as the idealistic youth, began to spread rumors that he would be the one to restore the Triumvirate. As he had no intention of restoring anything, Slayn ignored the rumors because they brought more business. Until the rumors brought about unwanted attention from Stark.
In a plot to have him executed, Slayn was hired, by a cleric, to kill Stark . Because of false information, Slayn accidentally killed Stark's young son. Due to the fear of revolt, as Slayn had become a favorite of the people(despite his profession and personality), Stark decided that he would* exile Slayn from Helos. Given his weapons, and a few personal belongings, Slayn was sent through a one-way portal which left him stranded in Althanas...his new home.
