Like most Elven-folk, Rardaag is a serene individual who is slow to anger and carries with him a calm aura. As a scholar, he has a natural inquisitiveness that often may appear as near absent-mindedness as he studies what others may see as mere trivialities. Light-hearted, Rardaag is a pleasant person to be around, and easy to befriend; though his limited experience outside of the school he's spent most of his life has led to an innocent naivety, and he trusts perhaps a little too easily.
Appearance:
Tall and slender, just like all Elves, Rardaag stands and walks with a sure self confidence; back perfectly straight, head held high. Youthful features intrinsic to his people give him the appearance of an unshaven fellow in his mid twenties. His hair is straight and smooth, falling to just below his shoulders.
Rardaag wears a robe of light grey, falling to his ankles, that is worked at the hems with intricate patterns of silver thread, his shoes are soft and reach to half way up his calves, kept in position by thin cords made of silver thread, akin to the workings on his robe.
History:
Born into a family that valued education and learning, Rardaag was influenced from a young age into pursuing a life of learning. As such, most of his life has been spent absorbing as much information as possible from the various books and records kept within the land of Raiaera.
Having read almost every version of every book in nearly all the academies and institutes, Rardaag has come to the realisation that he can learn nothing more from the resources available to him. As such, he has made the decision to venture into the 'outside world' in order to continue his learning.
Skills:
Intelligence: Due to his extensive life-long studies, Rardaag is in possession of above average intelligence. He is more easily able to solve riddles and puzzles, see patterns, and grasp an understanding on a great many idea.
Archery: It is perhaps a natural ability to Elven-folk, and Rardaag does show some skill with a bow and arrow. However, having spent most of his time within the realms of parchment and paper, his skill is slightly below average. He can fire arrows at a rate of four a minute, with a forty percent chance of hitting the target. The accuracy drops considerably when aiming at a moving target.
Healing: Rardaag harnesses a small amount of ability in healing. Certainly well below average for an elf, he can heal injuries as severe as broken limbs on animals and trees/plants, but on any other living being, only small cuts and grazes can be part healed though Rardaag's abilities.
Equipment:
Longbow: Made of elm, the elven longbow is Rardaag's only weapon. A length of five feet, the well crafted piece is perhaps wasted on one who lacks the esteemed skill of other elves.
Arrows: Rardaag carries a quiver of fifty arrows, the shafts made of ash, the standard heads made of steel, and fletched with goose-feathers.
Familiars:
Eleanor: A small falcon that was once healed by Rardaag, she seemed to build a bond with the elf, and now accompanies him wherever he goes. If not sat on his shoulder, you can be sure Eleanor will be near by. She has no special abilities besides being a hunter of food, and a great companion to the scholar.
