Looking for a Quest / Battle

Preference on the latter. I'm interested in jumping right into Althanas, but I'd like a good story to get started in. I've noticed most of the "Open" Quests are already well along into their stories, and I don't know if joining halfway through a story is proper etiquette (or worth it in the end). Most others are closed.

So, to be more specific, I guess I could clarify:

I am looking for a Quest or Battle to participate in, Closed or Open, with anyone willing to put up with a new member.

I like you're profile and the writing style within. Paint me interested. Though, I myself prefer quests to battles, I haven't actually had a battle in quite some time. The decision is yours, if, that is, you'll have me.

But yeah, either character would work for me, probably Ranger would work better though for this character. I have plenty others that would undoubtedly work in pretty much any scenario anywhere... I tend to write out elaborate and odd profiles and then lose interest with the character, unfortunately. However, never worried about getting them back into something.

Okay, I've read all your profiles that I could find. The Writing Writer seems intersting, as does Ranger, but I think Ranger's most likely way out of Mavek's league. Zee is super cool, too. It would an interesting ordeal to write with him in some fashion or other.

So, if I had to pick, I'd say Zee. Just because of the mesh-ability with Mavek, as well as an interesting variance of character types.

While I'm almost inclined to say "battle", the rules for combat here are very, very different from what they are on all the forums I come from - or, more specifically, what I call my "home forum". There I'm unquestionably skilled. Here...? I wouldn't push my luck. So for now, let's stick to a quest. Unless you're just aching, of course.

Quest is fine with me. I prefer quests to battles anyway. Any ideas for a basic story outline?

Hrm. Basic storyline...? Well, we could go either urban or rural. My character definately "fits" in rural, but the urban setting would provide interesting peripheral character interaction and writing opportunities. I'd also say that some sort of hunt, perhaps even a bounty of some sort, would be fitting to my character. Aside from that, not really. I'll think more on it, though.

Well, i am not very well known around here, but people have usually seen one or town of my characters floating around, i know you have already pickeed your partner. I was wondering if you would be willing to do second quest/battle as well, most of my old characters i ower powered, the ones i enjoy writing with now is Falior and Omega star, but i could use BanditBrother, he's always fun.

Well, I don't really know Althanas' rules on working a battle and a quest at the same time with the same character. I only have one, you see, so it'd be hard to work with. If someone would inform me, though, we can always see. I'd be interested in doing a battle, if possible.

Althanas works on a 'liquid time' type system, your character can be in multiple places at the same time if you want. It's up to you really. The only place this doesn't take effect is the Featured Quest (FQ). You can only have one thread per region in the FQ due to its nature.

Oh. Well, that makes life simpler. Then yes, I'd be glad to do a battle with you or one of your characters. Make the thread, and I'll join it presently.

Completely forgoing the use of words such as "bump" or "nudge", I just wanted to make sure everyone who had spoken to me was still functional and willing to help me out with a quest/battle.
