Name: Flint Holtz
Age: 21
Race: human
Eye Color: blue
Hair Color: black
Height: 5'11
Weight: 158lbs
Occupation: Gambler

Personality: Flint is known for being relaxed and very mello. His lazy traits, calm demeanor, and use of sarcasm are usually the cause of most of his distrust and reliability with others. He naturally doesn't take anything seriously that doesn't involve gambling, women, or revenge. Most of his personality is a reflection of Seth Blight's, who was his uncle (and former character) before he was murdered.

Appearance: He normally keeps his hair combed neatly back and kept short. His eye's are tilted slightly to make him look as though he is of Asian decent. He normally wears casual white upper garments and black jeans. Around his neck he wears a black scarf that hangs down to his thighs. He wears black straped sandals.

Weapon: A cross-bow made of oak, 2 minor explosives, 1 smoke bomb, and 20 bolts made of oak as well and have steel tips.
Armor: None at the moment
Items of Importance: A deck of blade edged poker cards, kept as a momento of his uncle. He currently can not use them in battle.

Skills: Besides his above average skills in marksmanship, he is also skilled in dealing with explosives and metal works. With this he is capable of making smoke bombs, minor explosives , and ........fireworks. His explosives are normally nothing more powerful then a cherry bomb, used only for distractions and sabotage. He has no skills as far as close range weaponry goes but has the speed and reflexes to keep distance from him and his opponent. His lack of armor is due to his increased speed but this also cripples his defense.

History: Up until the time he was two, Flint was raised by his parents. Around that time, a plague had just started to manifest around the neighboring towns. It spread fast and before people had time to evacuate, the town was struck hard by it. Seth Blight, who happen to be in the area, caught wind of the plague and manage to leave the area quickly. Flints parents saw Seth leaving when they offered there son to him. There faces were pale and sickly, however the child still had the color in his cheeks and appears to be in the best of health. Seth reluctantly accepted and him and Flint left the dying town behind.

Seth never liked bringing bad news to others, so instead created a lie. For years, Flint believed that Seth was his uncle and that his parents simply gave him up because they were unable to afford a child. Up until the time of Seth's death, this was Flints truth.

Seth had spent his life as a bounty hunter and a heavy gambler. Perhaps this is why Flint had begun to pick up on Seth's habits. Thanks to the money raised by both jobs, Seth had manage to raise a small fortune and gave up the bounty hunting business. Life was pretty peaceful and relaxed for a while, they traveled constantly to avoid any trouble with previous clients from his past jobs. It was a hassle but as long a Flint didn't know why they were moving, then it was all the better.

When Flint was 18, Seth's past finally caught up with him. Years before, Seth had denied the request of a nobleman and killed his only son, who had attempted to kill Seth for his insubordination. When the man caught wind of Seth's location he sent 13 armed mercenaries to end his life. The mercenaries slaughtered innocents and torched houses to draw him out until he finally stepped forward. Seth fought hard, killing the 13 merc's but not without suffering multiple mortal wounds. Doctors treated his wounds during the night but before daybreak of the next morning, he was already dead.
Before he died, he gave his trademarked weapon of choice to his nephew and told him the truth about what really happen to his parents.

Flint never held it against him, he knew why he never told him. Seth death had crippled him for weeks, but he quickly recovered and began to act more and more like Seth everyday. He began to gamble and chased women. Before he realized it, he was traveling just a much as Seth was. He decided that he would live as Seth living legacy, the old nobleman would not have the satisfaction of knowing that he had killed Seth. He vowed to find and kill the nobleman as he stood over Seth's grave. Before he turned for the final time to leave the town, he placed a card onto Seth's grave. It was the ace of spades.

((Sorry, I know that was long and I know most of it wasn't about Flint but I was wanting it to be an epilogue for my former character as well as an introduction for my new one.))

Not a worry about the length, lol. History's can't really be "too long" and I've written out profiles in the past that were close to 7 pages, haha. Anyway, onto the approval process:

I assume that the 2 explosives you have are the same as those you describe in the skill to make them, that being akin to a cherry bomb?

For now you are going to have to have the gun broken or missing or something, we can't approve guns at level 0. You can, in the future, pay to have it fixed, or request for it as a spoil (which will be granted for a quest that scores well and with relavent reason to gain the gun).

The explosives I spoke of are the same as they are detailed under his skills. Used as distractions or sabotage and nothing more powerful then a cherry bomb.

As for the gun, I would prefer if I gained it during a quest. I'm currently not sure what weapon to give him that is long range. Are cross-bows acceptable? Also, how do I go about requesting for it for a spoil and at what level would it be acceptable?

Crossbows are acceptable, can be made of yew or oak, with 20 bolts made of one of those woods with either iron or steel heads. As for the gun... it's difficult to tell, depends on how well you write out the thread to be honest. I have a broken gun, and have yet to get it fixed even though I'm almost at lvl 3. Lol. I'd suggest probably getting the hang for the character first and foremost, and then working on the gun thing... and an average level would be around 3-4, though it's not impossible at 2, and on average isn't normally allowed at 1.

Changes made. Also, as far as the gun goes, I may just forget about it. I was planning on having his gun broken or lost during one of the threads anyway and replaced by the cards that he keeps as a momento. That makes better sense now that I think about it. Why give up a gun, that can shoot faster and has more power, just to use some cards that require more skill to use anyway? I'm assuming it will take longer to reload a cross-bow and it won't fire off as rapidly as it would take to throw cards, so I think it would be a good trade off when the time comes. Let me know what you think.
