*Personality: Without much idea of who she was before being nursed back to health in St. Eva's Monastery, Aya has developed a somewhat reclusive personality. Smiling still does not come easy to her, however, she is a peaceful woman. Warm is not the best way to describe her, as something in her aura still emanates a deep hidden coldness. Like most Sisters, she is still gentle and earnestly seeks to find inner peace for herself and others. However, she cannot escape the feeling that tenderness and peace are not her way...
Appearance: Aya can be considered tall for a woman at 5'7", though her frame is lethe. Remnants of what could have been toned muscle still clings to her. In other words, she looks a little too fit to be a nun. Since her rescue, she has yet to cut her silky raven hair, and has grown in quite long. Usually, she ties it back into a long ponytail which is concealed by her hood. Something in Aya's violet eyes still holds to her old stoic coldness, though her face has softened considerably. For now, she wears her grey blue convent robes and hood.
History: There once was a young woman who went by the name of Aya Windgate. She was proud, fierce, and a ruthless killer. She grew up in a family that killed as a profession, and that was the one thing she knew best. Her world was spun around the day she and her younger brother Koriku were witness to a heinous crime that even assassins should never commit. Before their eyes their parents were murdered by their own blood. The secondary Windgate line had planned a coup to claim leadership of the Windgate assassin group after Aya's father refused a high paying contract out of pride. Lucky to escape with their lives, Aya and Koriku grew up with hate burning brightly in their hearts. Driven by revenge, the young siblings continued to grow and shape themselves into the assassins their family was so infamous for breeding. One by one the siblings tracked down and killed the coup members. However, when it came to the last, the instigator of the coup, Aya was heavily injured saving her brother's life.
Her body was found floating in a nearby lake, having been washed down stream. The Nuns who found her were surprised that a young woman as beautiful as Aya was so heavily injured, as if she had been fighting. At St. Eva's Monastery, Aya was nursed back to health, however, when she awoke from her comatose state, she had no recollection of her previous identity. Warmly the monastery took her in and allowed her to serve there. They named her Sister Ophelia. Her days at the monastery were peaceful despite her forgotten past. But there came a day when a man with ill intent threatened the safety of the nuns on an outing. The other women were prepared to give their coin purses over without a word of protest, however, something innate sprung forth in Sister Ophelia. Before the man knew what happened, he was disarmed and on the ground. Her own muscles had moved and she hadn't the slightest idea of how she had done it. Since then,
Sister Ophelia has begun to notice an increase in reflexes and awareness. Who was she? This question could no longer go unanswered. She requested an extended leave from the monastery in order to uncover her true past. And so now Sister Ophelia will begin to discover the young woman named Aya Windgate.

Martial Arts- At her peak, Aya was a master at the Windgate's own style of hand to hand combat. It involved very decisive moves, such as bone breaking blows and paralyzing pinches to pressure points. Aya had an expert understanding of the human anatomy and where the body's weak points were and had to exploit them. However, since her memory loss, Aya is unable to recall everything based on muscle memory. However, even now, she is at the very least proficient in hand to hand combat.
Weapon Mastery- Pre- amnesia Aya was proficient in just about every weapon, and could easily improvise. However, currently she is still struggling to recall weapon usage past muscle memory. Her favorite weapon seems to be the one she is most skilled in using. The kusari gama.
