Appearance: Isabella has a slender build and shoulder length brown hair. Her skin has a slight dark tan from spending most of her time outside in the fields between her village and the forests of Concordia. She is often seen wearing a long white cloth dress and a small dagger sheath on her right thigh. Most of the time the dagger is completely covered.
History: Growing up as a little girl, Isabella’s parents told her bed time stories of dark creatures that lurk deep in the forest next to her village. Fables of giant spiders, vampires, ghosts, and goblins always seemed to seep into her imagination and dreams. As she got older, the dreams became more lifelike. Isabella’s mind allowed her to be in the stories rather than just replay them. At first, it seemed as if she was forced to stand on the side-line and watch the creatures go about their nightly deeds of snatching farm animals and every once in awhile a random drunk or child who ventured too far into the woods too late at night.
Then, Isabella began trying to interact with the dream. She found herself able to walk through the scenes and completely leave the story-line and find her way into the forest land. Often she attempted to reach the creatures or their victims, but every time her hand came in contact with them the dream erupted into a cloud of smoke in her mind and she was left with nothing but a blank darkness until she awoke in the morning.
When she reached the age of eighteen, Isabella’s dreams became more vivid and life-like. The same old story-lines suddenly had new actions and new victims within them. The attacks and carnage became more gruesome. The creatures soon acted as if her presence was an annoyance for them. Every once in awhile, the beasts would glare in her direction and rush at her with rage in their eyes. Isabella always shielded her face just as the creatures reached her and then her dream would disappear. Many nights she was shaken awake in screaming fits with sweat and tears crawling down her face.
As she reached twenty, the dreams took a violent turn on her body. The creatures would attack more frequently and would make contact with her skin, biting and clawing at her. When the dreams disappeared, her body would be bruised and bleeding as if the attacks had just happened to her. Isabella began to dread the night fall and the horrors it would bring her as she slept. When the scratches got too noticeable she began wearing full-bodied dresses even on the warmest of days. She prayed that one day the dreams would leave her mind.
Skills: Proficient in the art of defense with small weapons such as daggers and short swords.
