PERSONALITY

Vincent has retreated into himself ever since the disappearence of Samantha, becoming reclusive and withdrawn. His general attitude is disgust and anger at the weakness of the world and those around him, and the only time he ever shows true enjoyment is when he fights what he achnowledges as a “worthy” opponent.

Vincent is also a schitzophrenic, hearing voices in his head. The most dominant one is something he calls his “hunger” as it urges him to feed upon human flesh, making him more savage and violent than he normally would be in battle.

APPEARANCE

Vincent is a bear of a man, standing a good six foot eight inches tall and weighing near two hundred and fifty pounds of sheer muscle and bone. He no longer wears his old clothes and instead has taken to wearing a ragged black leather duster and muscle shirts underneath it while wearing jeans instead of his old samurai clothing. He has cut his hair so instead of drifting to his back it now only reaches to his neck, but his swirling silver eyes and vampire-like fangs have remained the same. Upon the parts of his body that can be seen, including his face, his skin is jagged with old scars and cuts here and there, testaments to his ferocity in battle.

SKILLS

Passive Abilities

Swordsmanship: Vincent now is considered an advanced swordsman when compared to others. His style is that of a berserker, using his immense size and strength to overpower his opponents and his natural resilience and stamina to outlast them. However, he now can parry, deflect, and avoid attacks moderately well, having trained with Samantha while traveling, and thus has turned his decadent style of sword fighting into a refined art.

Posthumanity: Vincent innate abilities have passed beyond that of normal humans, turning him into something beyond human.

-Strength: Vincent has grown physically strong to the point where he can lift up to 500 pounds before hurting himself. However, he cannot do so easily; for example, if he were to lift a sword that weighted 500 pounds, it would be all he could do to just lift it before collapsing. Swinging it would be out of the question. He can lift up to a quarter of his maximum lift weight with one hand. (aka, up to 125 lbs.)

-Ierro (Steel Skin): Vincent's body has adapted and toughened throughout his constant battling, making him into his own armor. His skin and muscles are tougher and harder to cut through than the average man's; about as tough as the average leather vest. This provides a reliable protection against bladed weapons of below average quality and lower, and also a moderate resistance to blunt attacks, such as hand-to-hand combat and club weapons. However, his Ierro does have a weakness; it is remarkably susceptible to piercing attacks, such as those from a rapier or spear.

-Berserker: Vincent has developed a very high level of tolerance to pain due to being cut up so often from his wild style of fighting, so that even though he does feel it his mind rejects it, allowing him to fight on to the very ends of his strength. He also has a great amount of stamina from doing so, being in peak physical condition to be able to go beyond the limits of normal man and fight on sheer will power until he is cut down.

-Blade Grasp: Vincent's left hand has become tough enough where he can grab his opponent's own bladed weapons without being seriously hurt or injured. This is NOT to mean he is not cut, just that it will not cut through the muscles/bone of his hand as it has become habituated to the feel of steel. At this point, Vincent can grasp blades of steel metals and average quality or lower without severely injuring himself. He can do this but once per battle, as repeated grabs would hurt him farther beyond his resistance.

Eternal Youth: For some reason that he does not know himself, Vincent is stuck forever at the age of 24, and it is impossible for him to die of old age. However he does not mind this much, as his plans for taking over the world would be benefited by that fact.

ITEMS

Delyn Claymore (http://fc07.deviantart.com/fs23/f/2008/004/d/a/Claymore_by_mus0u.jpg): A large weapon that Vincent bought at the bazaar after selling his serrated nodachi, it is a double-edged weapon made out of a dense delyn. Engraved into the bottom of the blade is a single rune, but it is unenchanted...for the time being. The claymore is five feet long in total, the blade being slightly over four feet long itself and about a half a foot wide. It weighs around eighty pounds; just enough so that Vincent can now swing it around in one hand in the style of a long sword.

Traveling Pack: A small, leather bag that holds his cash, clothes and his medical supplies, which includes bandages (wraps) and a few canteens of water.

HISTORY

Chapter One:

Whisper of the Beast

1

Defeat and Rebirth (http://althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=16216)

Vincent is drinking his life away in a bar, somewhere away from Radasanth, when suddenly he is approached by a strange man in a suit with a suitcase. The man gives him a job offer: go to the Citadel in Radasanth, and defeat the angel there. Short on cash and needing some action, Vincent accepts. However, he underestimates his female opponent, and is quickly slain by her strange abilities and fast movements. When he awakens from his defeat, he is given a ring along with a letter, both from the man that approached Vincent in the first place. "Beazel". Who is this man? What does he want with Vincent? And what is this power that he possesses? Only time will tell.

Screams of Decadence (http://althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=16304)

After his battle with the angel in the Citadel, Vincent sought out a place to stay. After all, the note had told him to get stronger, and the best way to get stronger was here in Radasanth, at the Citadel. How convenient. So he found residence at a large bordello called The Scarlet Lady, just a couple blocks away from the famous battleground. There he met a girl named Samantha, a "saucy wench" that seemed to satisfy his more...ahem...primal urges. After finding residence at the bordello, he went back to the Citadel to fight a robot, of all things. It was a ferocious fight, filled with flaming cyclones, earthquakes, doppelgangers, scythes, and of course, mushrooms. In the end, Vincent won this battle, cutting the machine in half before the very arena itself was erased from existence. He didn't see a woman looking down at him from afar, a dark haired woman wielding a black claymore. She spoke his name, then faded into ashes...

When he awoke this time, he was presented with a scythe he had picked up from the battle. Surprised, he shouted at the monk, but then all of a sudden one of the doppelgangers appeared from the scythe and spoke to Vincent, saying its name was Skeith and it was a spirit living within the weapon. Vincent accepted it and walked out with his new weapon in hand, going back to his place in The Scarlet Lady to forget about the day's strangeness in the waiting arms of Samantha.

Death in the Darkness (http://althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=16411)

It seemed like just a random trip to the Citadel. Just on whim had Vincent gone, wanting to get some exercise other than his excursions at the bordello with Samantha. However, this battle with the vampire Cellius had brought surprises of its own:

Voices.
Vincent had begun to hear voices in his head.
It wasn't the first time he had heard a voice...but it was the first time he could clearly distinguish what they were saying. One almost drove him to rip out his opponents throat with his teeth, and Vincent would have had it not been for the other voice that then spoke. A motherly, scolding voice that called Vincent nothing but a "caged animal". This stopped him from doing so, relieving him of all the battle lust in his body in one moment and sparing the vampire's "life". As his thoughts grew troubled at the meaning of this, what Vincent did not know was that the speaker of those words, the ones that had stopped him, was not too far away...watching. Always watching.

The Angel's Return (http://althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=16577)

Vincent had been brooding that morning, remembering how the angel had defeated him so easily the first time he had gone to the Citadel. He also wondered why he had been giving that strange ring, bouncing questions and ideas both off of Samantha. He and her had become now more than client and protitute: lovers was more appropriate for the two. Needing some time to think and to fight, however, he headed off early that morning, leaving Skeith behind with Samantha. However, he did not see her draw two swords and call the spirit from its home in the weapon...
To his surprise, he found waiting for him at the Citadel the angel that had first defeated him. Fueled by animalistic rage, Vincent became a berserker, overpowering the angel easily this time. Voices screamed at him in his head, telling him to do this and that, driving him insane, until one simple insult from the angel drove him to madness. He could think of nothing other than ripping her apart. Putting on the obsidian ring at the malicious voice's command, Vincent then ended the battle in a stalemate as he summoned fire from his own blood to counter the angel's last attack of desperation. The explosion rocked the area around them and both warriors went unconscious.
During his sleep, Vincent met the Grim Reaper. It seemed at first that Death was there to steal his soul away, but It could not: Vincent could not die as long as he was in the Citadel. However, it did give him a sword; a strange, futuristic blade that was warm in Vincent's grip. Demanding answers, Vincent learned that it had been Beazel who had sent the weapon, using Death as a messenger.
Waking, Vincent went back to his room only to find Samantha and her mist clone sparring. Her eyes betrayed her heritage as she explained to him that she was a demon, or half demon at the least. In return, he showed her the technique he had used against the angel, proving he wasn't human either. The two shared secrets, ambitions, and goals until Vincent realized he could not stay here any longer: it was time for him to move on. That was what the sword had meant. However, Samantha insisted that she go with him, at the same time he asked her. Thus did the two become wanderers, with Skeith at their side to tag along.
Where will their journey take them? Who knows....

EDIT: At the request of the original moderator in the position of approving this profile, the original level 1 profile, I am opening this up to her instead.

Ierro - I'd like you to put a time limit of 2-3 minutes on Ierro for now.

Berserker - I need you to weaken this, give it some kind of restraint or constraint besides 'until he is cut down', which could take quite a while in a state like this.

Blade Grasp - just remember if someone like Dan Lagh'ratham is swinging a steel sword at Vincent's hand, blade grasp or not, it'll still cut his hand off. It's about the strength of the other character too.

Okay. Making the edits now.
Ierro edited. Limit of 2-3 minutes.
Berserker edited: I added in until he tires and/or cannot fight from other circumstances, such as the severing of nerves. Is that good enough?
And I realize about Blade Grasp. His left hand is not superhuman, its only slightly tougher than the other sections of his skin.
Anything else, Megan?
And I apologize that the profile is so disjointed and crap. I don't know what happened and nothing I did could fix it.

Yep, that's good enough for me. And it's not disjointed.

Approverized!

Oh, haven't done that in a while. ;)
