Yeah, so the manly men at id software recently went live with the public beta for QuakeLive. (http://www.quakelive.com) From what I hear, it's supposed to be a browser-based free version of Quake 3 Arena.

I'm signing up. Anyone else gonna' join to put my noob ass its place?

True enough. Though, I'd read about Quake Live on the BBC News website, and was rather excited about it... Now I have to wait. :(
