The roleplay I'm participating in is moving at the snail's pace, really to the point of deadly inactivity. I have to much time on my hands to make only a post every two months.
I need a new roleplay.

I've scanned over the forums for couple weeks now, and have not found any new roleplays appropriate for my character. I've checked the Scara Brae threads, because I'm not confident enough to leave it's borders and risk running into exceptionaly better roleplayers then I, and I have perused the Role-player's corner for a fitting plot. I'm not satisfied with the results of my search.
I'd like not to think that I'm not in a new roleplay right now is because I won't just give any of the existing roleplays a shot.

I believe, through my own diagnosis, that my character simply was not created for the more popular types of roleplays. Those being, battles, duels, tests of strength and spectacles of butchery; where lots of brute force would be most applicable, and where the narrow plot wouldn't have it any other way. I'm not putting this down for it's own sake, being what it is. I could have built a fireball-throwing wizard or a 6'10" barbarian and be happy, but I want to do something different.

My character is for for manipulation, deception, knavery and accurate knives in the back, plotting and sinister tricks all in the name of his own ascension to power and fame. My character is intelligent and observing; he knows that the world doesn't center on him (even if it should), and that you can't get what you want by bludgeoning your problems. He is completely unsuitable for any prolonged fight, direct assassinations, quests in the name of good-will and evil solely in the name of others.

If any (preferably lower level) players have a plot that needs this character, is inspired to invent a roleplay of intrigue and battles of wit, would like to colaberate on a story with me that includes this character, or/and just needs a 'bad guy' or otherwise selfish role to be filled, please post here.

Questions will also be answered, delightfuly.
Help me out here.

What a coincidence, so is mine.

Like you, I have failed in almost all my attempts in creating a story on this site. Most people don't care to try or just vanish for months/forever. Battles are about 95% of the content on this site, it seems. Only my first few threads, due to some very active participants, seem to have done very well, and those were completed over a year ago. The rest, nearly all of them, are incomplete or scrapped in the planning stages due to the other party dropping out.

I don't have any specific ideas at the moment, but if you do then you know who to call.

You don't need to be worried about leaving Scara Brae. I know it kind of seems intimidating at first, it's a big world out there with big characters. If you're a decent writer, though, then those writers you seem a little wary of encountering just yet will be more than happy to take you under their wing and give you a few pointers.

It's how I got my start, way back when.

Funny story, I have a character, a story outline (based mostly on interaction with the occasional animal attack to fend off on request) and no one interested in participating :p

My character may seem to be a spell tank, but he isn't preferring to actually AVOID combat because he's a nature lover who's small and a tad on the soft side <_<

One way for everyone to start is to start together!
Just... Silas doesn't tend to hang out in towns, too many people think he might taste nice.
