Calbrena sat fuming on a nearby park bench. Lust had lied to her! The Arch-demoness had given her weaker half-sister a map to one of Greed's many treasure hoards, promising that it contained an item known as The Wings of Freedom. After wandering a dark and smelly labyrinth for who knew how many days, she emerged without anything to show for her troubles. There was no treasure, there were no wings, only a bunch of lonely incubi that wanted Calbrena's company.

Now, finally back in Radasanth she sat on a bench near the citadel thinking up ways to get revenge on her sisters. She knew Greed was probably in on the scam, she knew it. She had no proof, but Greed had to pay anyway for not actually having a treasure hoard in that cave.

Sitting there wasn't doing her any good though, so she got up to go walk around the city and clear her mind. Suddenly an arm held her from behind, as someone put a damp rag over her nose and moth and held it tightly, forcing her to breath through it. It was laced with something unknown to the half-demoness, but whatever it was, it was putting her to sleep, her struggles only speeding it's effect up.

Soon, she was out cold.

She woke up in her father's estate!

Calbrena scrambled to her feet. She was in the main entry way. Eight statues sat in this room. Seven were of her half-brothers and sisters, The seven Deadly Sins, and one was of her father, Grandfather, lord and master of The Abyss. At the base of each statue was the name of the figure it represented.
Calbrena had never been in this room before, and so peered closely at the marble statues. Grandfather's statue confused her momentarily, for it bore her father's true name.

"Xith Rith Xail, is that Grandfather's true name? It's not a Haidian name, Rith isn't a meaningful middle name. Then, he isn't a Haidian either." She said to herself.

Looking down at the floor, she realized the floor felt nice, because it was covered in a beautiful Fallien rug depicting the setting of the sun.

Beyond it, the floor was polished to a mirror finish, and made out of an unknown metal that looked exactly like a mirror, but was not glass. The walls were made of more of the same. Set in the walls though, were golden candle holders made to look like Elven, Dwarven, and human hands. If Calbrena knew her father, they were real hands dipped in molten gold.

Windows let out to the outside, but being at the bottom of The Abyss, there was no light to be had. The room was lighted by a beautiful crystal chandelier, it's light reflected off the mirror like walls, floor, and ceiling, making it seem almost like afternoon.

In one wall sat a door made of Liviol, set in with brass doorknobs. The doors opened leading to the rest of the mansion, and Calbrena felt both fear, and trepidation, as she realized she was not alone in the room.

Max had been walking for hours before coming to rest in the shadow of the great citadel, it was a scorching hot day out, and not a cloud in sight.

“Damn it all to Hell!” Max cried out of frustration, he hated the heat and hated humidity even more. “That's it maybe inside the citadel I can find a cold arena to fight in!”

Max stormed into the citadel throwing open the double doors and felt a wave of even more intense heat, dry heat, hit him smack dab in the face. He grumbled as he walked up to a nearby monk.

“Cold... Arena... Now!” Max barked out as the monk smiled and led him down through several hallways. At the end out of what seemed like an endless hallway were two huge double doors very fancy looking. As he got close the doors flew open greeting max with a small burst of cold air followed by a black light engulfing him. When he opened his eyes he was in some type of Ballroom, he only knew what it was from his time as a thief.

As he looked around he realized he was sweating more then he would be out in the scorching sun in a field with no wind.

“Damn this Goddamn Heat!” Max said drawing his newly improved sword, temper flaring from the heat, and exhaustion.

“That's it! I know this is a citadel fight so Show your face!” Max screamed as he looked around the room carefully analyzing everything he could looking for his opponent. there were pillar's lining the edge of the room, spaced maybe six feet apart, the floor was almost all Tile except for certain places where there was carpet. there was a great big golden chandalier hanging from the ceiling which was maybe forty or fifty feet high, and the chandalier itself was maybe twenty feet off the ground. it was perfect, a nice wide open area to fight in, no surprises could be done here.

Calbrena heard yelling off in the distance. She thought it might be Lust's latest victim at first, but then she realized it was coming from the wrong direction. Wondering which of her siblings was feeding now, she decided to go take a peek and see before she escaped this accursed place, again.

Not knowing it was a citadel battle, Calbrena decided to give herself as much offensive power as possible, and switched into demon form. Her skin reddened, her hair and eyes blackened, and a tail sprouted as claws grew and sharpened.

Noticing the ballroom door was open, she looked inside and saw a man in there sweating profusely.

"I'd be sweating too if I was in your position. But I can escape this den of evil, you can't. So which of my brothers and sisters brought you here? I don't think it was Lust, she would've taken you to her bedroom. Sloth's to lazy to get a victim. No, I think out of all seven of them, it was Pride. She always did think herself at her best when she was dancing the night away. Why don't you come with me to her room, It's always below freezing in there due to spurious claims that it preserves her beauty. I might even be able to help you escape this place. You know where you are, aren't you?
You're at the bottom of The Abyss, and in the mansion of The Lord of the Abyss and his children, The Seven Deadly Sins. I don't know where they are, a puny human like you would be in serious trouble around eight powerful Arch-Demons, one of which is a Demon God." Calbrena said from the safety of the hallway, flames dancing on her fingertips as she gestured for the man to follow her.

Max Spun on his heels to face the Doorway and the person talking to him through it. Well not really a person but what looked like a demon of sorts. Max knew but to trust someone who was obviously his opponent, but the temptation of cooler temperatures was too tempting to pass up.

“I have no idea what your talking about but sure cold temperatures sounds great right about now” Max said as he put on his fake smile and charged mana into his left hand as his right hand gripped his sword.

The lobby he had walked out into was very profound it was huge, with tall stone statues of eight beings. none of which Max knew but they looked mighty impressive after all. The was red carpet leading up the steps and once they turned down another hallway everything changed. One half of the hallway was gorgeous brilliant colors and hue's all rolled into one, with flowers hanging from the wall, but the other side was just a flat mat Grey nothing spectacular.

Max couldn't help but snicker and yell at himself in his head, he was letting his guard down. In apparently this person's home turf.

Calbrena approached a door made of Oak inlaid with gold and silver. They ran across the door in a delicate pattern and seemed to all spring from the handle. Calbrena turned the handle and opened the door.

A chill blast of arctic air blew out of the room, blowing out Calbrena's flame.

"Sister Pride is Ice elemental, so be prepared for cold."

Inside the room were mirrors by the score, in fact, no matter where you looked, it was impossible to not see a mirror. There was a large comfortable four poster bed in the middle of the room, and a large Armoire made of Liviol in the north eastern corner of the room. At the foot of the bed, and pushed all the way up against the wall was a desk with a mirror and several locked drawers which contained make-up and other beauty products.

On the wall between mirrors hung an oil based painting of what appeared to be an angel, and not a demon. Her wings were black, like she was a fallen angel. Her hair was blond, her eyes blue, and she was built like a goddess. Truly, the woman in that painting was beautiful.

"That is my sister, the deadly sin of Pride, but why is she not in her room? Usually, she's at her desk gazing fondly at herself in the mirror." Calbrena said, confused. She looked at the man, and understanding crept in.

"This is the citadel isn't it?" she asked. Whoever had kidnapped her had obviously placed her there for their own entertainment. She was infuriated, she wasn't anyone's playtoy! She smiled and chuckled, embarrassed at what just happened.

Well, this is a citadel fight, might as well make the most of it.

With that thought, she swung around to claw Max in the face.

Max Closed his eyes as the cold burst of wind hit him. It was very refreshing. And as he opened his eyes he was struck in the face by some sort of sharp object, he jumped back and held his face. He was just clawed and bleeding out of the wounds.

“You clawed me? You clawed me! You little Bitch!” Max screamed as his Rage and frustration spiked. He Rotated his sword in his right hand as he ran at his opponent in front of him, throwing his one hand under his cape and grabbing his other sword. And swung both at his opponent from opposite directions.

“I sure did jackass, you gonna do something about it?” Calbrena asked, then immediately regretted her words as he drew TWO swords.
That’s got to be cheating or something!

Calbrena quickly backpedaled out of the reach of the swords and set herself.

“Come on then handsome; think you can match my steps?” Calbrena asked. Stretching her wings wide she spun away into the steps she had moved over and over so many times before, the steps that seemed as natural to her as breathing was to most other people.

Her fire sparked and flared, visibly jumping off her body as she spun and twisted around the room coming back at her opponent. This dance had no name, for it was incomplete, but for what part of it was complete seemed to resonate deep within her and touch some hidden potential.

She moved in close into a tight spin, turning faster and faster and suddenly her leg whipped out claws first headed straight for the stranger’s midsection.

Max smiled as his opponent backpedaled, maybe she had some skill. He was now inside the ice room. Feeling a bit more relaxed and calm he watched his opponent as she started dancing around the room with some flames spiking off of her.

As she came closer and started spinning, Max was prepared, Alena from his bandit days use to fight exactly like this. He stuck his masterwork sword to his side, flat side to block against her kick, as he swung his other sword out to try and cut off the leg.

Calbrena's leg moved with the force of the spin and survived, but not without a gash in the side. If she had been in angel form, it would’ve been completely severed, but leathery demon skin had its uses.

She hobbled out of range, unable to continue dancing. A torch with an oil soaked rag at its top sat in the wall unlit. She grabbed it with her right and caressed it with her left making the torch burst into flames.

“Well, I am related to all seven sins, which means I am Lust’s sister. Lust is my favorite sin to exhibit, and she’s my favorite sister to learn from. So I’ll let you imagine how I’ll take care of you.” Calbrena said brandishing the torch before her like a sword. She almost seemed to be playing with him, but had plans.

With his casual attitude though, Calbrena wondered if he even knew of the powerful Arch-demons who dwelled in The Abyss as anything other than rumor. Well, perhaps someday she’d take him down the secret path to the bottom and introduce him.

Suddenly her left arm snapped up and pointed at the dual wielding swordsman, a pentagram flew from her fingers and into him. She had cast Curse upon him, she could only hope it affected his sword skills, bringing them down a notch, or sealing them all together. But she had no control over what Curse affected only who she cast it upon.

“You never introduced yourself. Gentlemen should always introduce themselves before a lady. And indeed, my family is of a high station, being the uncontested masters of The Abyss. For they are as I have said before, the arch-demons known as The Seven Deadly Sins, and our father the demon god, Xith Rith Xail, The Lord of The Abyss.”

Max smiled. This woman or demon, was rather interesting.

“I am Maximilian Cannon, former member of the Bandit clan Antrio, and the one who is going to defeat you here, in this wonderful citadel arena!” Max said as he charged mana into his left hand getting ready to charge at her.

Then her hand shot forward and the mana dissipated from Max in a beautiful white hue all around him.

Max chuckled as he spoke “Well you certainly do have some skills I will give you that, but unfortunately not enough to save you.” Max said as he undid the clasp on cloak and threw it against the wall. Creating a loud thump as all fifty pounds hit the wall then slid down to the floor. “Now let's see how good you are in close range combat”

Max said as he took off towards here moving faster then normal, as he no longer had the Fifty pounds slowing him down. His swords were draped back with his momentum and just before he was withing slashing range of his sword's his masterwork sword shot forward, trying to impale this demon before anything could happen to his sword fighting skills

Calbrena smiled as the man lunged for her, classic mistake. It didn’t matter much that he was somewhat faster, only that she couldn’t play as much anymore. She stepped to the side, but not quite fast enough as the blade opened a wound in her side.

Gah! Why can’t I have hide like Wrath? I’ve seen bullets bounce off his skin before.

Holding her left side with her left arm, her right reached down as she closed in on max, to grab hold of his manhood, as she invaded his personal space.

“Truth be told I’m a poor fighter, I learned under my Sister, Lust. Wrath was always a bit too intimidating. Thus I’m a very good lover. Perhaps I’ll show you just how good later on tonight after the monks heal us.” She said, then she squeezed whatever she could get a hold of.

Max was shocked at first, but then smiled. Not only was he getting his basic primal urge to fight out of the way, but also his other primal urge.

“I guess you will!” Max said as he used the palm of his hand to push her hand of his manhood, he then backpedaled a bit and ran to her left as he started charging mana into his left hand as it gripped his steel longsword. As soon as he was to her left he quickened his pace and ran behind her to her right.

As he reached her right side, he jumped up threw his steel longsword up to the roof and reached for her right shoulder with his paralysis touch.

Calbrena smiled, perhaps he was giving up after all. She took his initial retreat as shyness. But then he moved to her left and went behind her. Maybe he'd change his mind after all. This whole affair was quickly moving towards an end, she could sense it. She decided to trust him, and lower her guard. The he put his hand on her right shoulder, and visions of candlelight dinners, and bearskin rugs before roaring fires ran through her mind. She didn't even notice that she lost all feeling in her shoulder. She was lost in fantasy. As she stood there, numbed shoulder and all, she unconciously began to turn back into angel form.

Light infused every square inch of her body, and her robes, and in under a minute, in the demons place stood a blond haired blue eyed angel with the fairest skin any had ever seen before. Her robes had changed from black to white, and an unusual innocence shown in her eyes, as though this form had never done violence to anyone, and couldn't fathom harming anyone.

Ignoring the wound in her own side, she tried to raise her right arm to heal max's face, and discovered it was paralyzed. Hurt was etched in her features as she turned her face up to max's, tears filling her eyes. Her offer had been genuine, so why had he hurt her?

Max felt a state of unease about him as his sword finally entered the demons flesh before him, or what he assumed was a demon. Now before him stood an angel looking at him with tears in her eyes. she looked so innocent and beautiful but yet he thought she would look better if she wore black robes instead of white in this current state.

"Wha...What kind of magic is this?" Max said as he stepped back leaving his sword hanging in her side, as his mind was doing backflips. he was fighting a demon, and before him stood a ... a ... Angel. How could this have happened?

Before he could do anything his 'Foolish' Pride, or what Antrio told him was Foolish, Took over. He rushed back to her and took his sword out and threw it across the room, he then charged his hands with his Mana and gently touched her wound, making sure to just paralyse the wound and nothing else.

may as well be closing post i dont think anything else can happen besides leaving the battlefield
