Max had spent day's walking around looking for a so called Great Library. He was starting to get pissed, he had been walking around in circles trying to find it, he was told the rough whereabouts but still couldn't find it, or the lake he was told was between the forest and the library.
He Needed to go see if it had the tome or tomes he needed, he was useless in his current state. He couldn't even kill another swordsmen in one on one combat. The man he had come to learn of Eric Angelkos, had beaten him in a fight with just pure swordsmanship. He needed to get better or get more abilities.
Max was just about to give up all hope and go find someone at the closest bar he could to fight when his foot gave way underneath him. Sending him into a trap or something covered by Underbrush.
“What the hell?” Max said as he got up to see an exit from the cavern he had fallen into, with a little cabin right beside a lake, with a small boat tied to a piece of log sticking out of the water. “This must be it!” Max exclaimed as he sped up his pace and walked out of the cave letting his augmented cape blow in the breeze, as he neared the Cabin he looked to his right and saw a huge structure embedded into the wall of a cliff, and at first glance Max would say it looked elven even though he had never seen a elven structure before.
He smiled and walked inside the cabin, there was a bed and a table with a fireplace that had long since been in use. The place was abandoned, so Max decided to use it to rest and relax before heading over to the library. He refilled a canteen of water, and got some wood from the side of the cabin and started a small fire.
Before he knew it, it was night time and as he exited the Cabin he swore he saw Shadow's and even the tree's in the black-ness of night looked creepy. He smiled and threw on his cape and climbed into the boat and started heading off towards the library in this old wooden boat, that Max could hear creak every time his weight slightly shifted in it.
By the time he was half way into the lake his boat started to take on water and he started to panic, throwing his leather boot heel over the hole to try and slow it did nothing and the water was coming in slowly, but Max knew if he didn't reach the library soon he would be swimming there. He kicked into overdrive and started paddling faster. And just before he reached the shore his boat started to take on water from over the top. He jumped out of the boat and swam the last five minutes he had.
He sighed as he looked around the walls of the Library, they seemed old dusty and worn. As well as it looked like the front door's had been broken into, or smashed upon by something in the past. He cautiously walked in and was greeted by two halls one going to his left and one going to his right. He walked down the right path, considering he was closer to it then the left. And the first door he came upon he walked into, the door was on his left, and was relatively hard to open, he had to throw his weight onto the door to make it swing ajar. Inside were shelves that were so high he couldn't see the end of them with ladders on each one, spanning the room which would have to have been a good sixty to seventy feet high. Every twenty to thirty feet there was a balcony which looked like to hold another level of book's all around the cylindrical room.
