The Waltz Family Creed:

In war, there is no love, there is no honor, there is only death, and we shall supply it in surplus...

“Sharon, Dark. Wake up. Hurry now, you mustn’t be late.” A voice said calmly. A sound of a man getting into pants ruffled into the still air.

“Wilfred, go away, I’m trying to sleep.” Sharon protested. Covering her head with her blanket.

“Father won’t like it if we are late...” Dark replied tiredly shifting himself out of bed. Sharon groggily got up sighing. She slipped on her comfy slippers and shuffled out into the hall with her brother Dark. The manor in which Dark and Sharon lived was enormous. The place in which they lived was at least twenty stories high, full of every book known to man, all the books of course about the dark arts and magical items and the sort. Another shout came from their brother, Wilfred who greeted them down by the end of the hall.

“Brother, Sister, father needs us in his study now.” He said teleporting to them directly. The three all giggled. All of them had mastered their paths of spells. Sharon could summon death, cause instantaneous fire to erupt on a human soul, and stop people in the flow of time. Her brothers could control Ice and thunder, slow down time, or cause a comet to strike them from above. Or even cause a flare from the heat of the sun to burn a victim by using absolutely no heat once-so-ever.

As they all teleported into the study, hidden deep inside with no doors or windows to enter from, no secret walls at all, they saw there father huddled over a book. The book was old and musty smelling, which meant it was worth more knowledge than any other common book.

“Do you children know of what I have here?”

“No father.” Wilfred replied calmly, his hand firmly held around his octagon adamantine rod.

“It’s the book of Zeus. With it, and with the rod of Zeus, which I now hold with me, I can learn the all powerful spell by the king god the gods. DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?”

“That’s great father, but what shall you do with it?” Sharon said stupidly.

“HOLD YOUR TOUNGE!” Sharon’s father shouted. “Prepare the puppets of death...” The children’s father whispered as he slammed the book shut, teleporting out of the room.

“That was not like father...” Dark said confused.

“I agree, that was not becoming of our father, but we shall trust his judgment and do as he commands. Who are we to stop him?” Wilfred replied teleporting out of the room. Sharon and Dark did likewise.

As the three appeared back to where they were, they realized they were no longer in a simplistic place. The sky, the morning sky, had turned dusk orange, and a large creature stood at the head of the mountains surrounding the Waltz Castle. Thousands of flying humans littered the sky like dirt on the ground.

“Fallen Angels.” Dark said plainly. “Father stole the book from the wrong man.”

“Father, why did you?” Sharon whined. Wilfred teleported away to the end of the hall pulling on a large rope. Sharon teleported up a small flight of stairs and began to pull on a second rope. Dark teleported to the opposite end of Wilfred and pulled on a third rope. The three pulled as hard as they could until a loud bell began to ring. The castle began to shake.

Outside, walls began rising, and a horde of small pointy hat creatures walked forth to the ledge that separated the castle from the Fallen Angels. Another part of the castle walls fell flat onto the air making a large ledge, as more pointy hat creatures advanced forward. A final level fell onto to the air creating a final ledge that released another military like band of pointy hat creatures out to meet with the force of the fallen ones. The sides of the castle revealed a payload of cannons, large cannons that held long range. The top of the castle lowered its four towers as four large cannons erupted along with a platform of even more pointed hat creatures.

“The disciples of death have arisen.” Sharon said loudly.

“Go out and hold them off...children...” A voice shouted from the shadows of the castle.

“Father, what is wrong, you don’t seem yourself?” Dark asked loudly.

“Inso lent FoOlS... gO PrOtEcT DaDdY ...” the voice was no longer calm or erratic. Simply put, it was the voice of a man gone insane.

“It must be the curse of Zeus.” Wilfred said as he moved out to the window. “We have no choice. Let’s hold off the Fallen Angels until we can get to Father.” The other two children nodded as they teleported to the ground below.

The Angels began to advance quickly with the speed they possessed. Sharon let out a powerful fire spell the incinerated one of the angels. The pointy hat creatures that resembled a human began to cast thousands of fire, ice, water, and thunder spells at the incoming threat. The angels fell from the sky like comets when they died, obliterating handfuls of the pointed hats. The cannons from the castle took down waves of the Angels, but the numbers were overwhelming, like locusts to a wheat field

“Sharon!” Dark shouted casting a spell that enshrouded a fallen angel in a black bubble, first reducing its size, then over sizing the fallen angel until it collapsed to the ground, withering away.

“Thank you Dark.” Sharon shouted over the loud sounds of explosions.

Another fallen angel approached Wilfred tackling him to the ground. Wilfred pushed the Angel off and sent her back to hell with a powerful bolt of lightening. Assessing the battle, Wilfred knew he angels would win.

One by one the Angels swarmed in, tackling and spearing the pointy hat creatures effectively stopping the progress they were starting to make in stopping the threat.

“Wilfred, Dark, to the sanctuary!” Sharon said teleporting away. Dark and Wilfred both did the same.

In the sanctuary they found their father, sweating like a pig as his eyes bulged out, red and blood shot.

“Father has truly lost himself in this sick quest for more power.” Dark said. Dark’s father quicky turned on Dark, casting a spell drained all of Dark’s magical power. Wilfred countered with a strong Thunder spell, accompanied with a water spell. The combo was effective, but Wilfred’s father still stood, breathing heavily. Another spell drained all of Wilfred’s magical properties, sending him to his knees.

“Father, what are you doing?” And before Sharon could react, her father did the same as he did to his two other children, draining all the magical entities inside of Sharon. Their father laughed hysterically as three Fallen Angel’s moved forward. Their father waved his Staff Of Zeus into the air, creating a large, dark hole that sucked up the angels. The Waltz siblings could feel their body being dragged away along with three staves.

Wilfred was the first to open his eyes. He was in a new land. His perfect octagon staff was shattered and unusable. Sharon’s staff laid in three un-repairable pieces, and Dark’s was un-recognizable.

“Brother, Sister, wake up. It appears we are far from home, very far...” Wilfred said looking into the sky.

****
Not very long after that time Sharon, Wilfred, and Dark traveled the land of Scara Brae in search of some form of aid to help them reach their Uncle Vivitari in hopes they could get some form of knowledge as to what was going on. It didn’t take long for them to reach a town where shortly after Wilfred set up for some help. What he got was more than he would have ever wanted to except.

A Dark Knight by the name of Vladimir had answered the call more out of desperation for fleeing the town than for aiding the mages. And his sharp tounge and harsh wit was only exceeded by his raw ego and extreame power. The other who answered the call, Sivienna, an at the time Small time Vampire, helped all three of the Black mages fight Vladimir. But the Knight of Apocalypse’s training was extensive, and he easily kept them all at bay, including finding the easiest way to pacify a Black mage. He crushed Wilfred’s throat under his boot as he taunted on. But a primal power in Wilfred awoke giving the mage an arcane power to mutely summon his dark magic. But his knowledge of spells had diminished since the accident with his father, and he could only delay, not end, Vladimir by stopping him in time for a brief moment. The mages and vampire all took off with the mages saying goodbye to their new friend and thoughts of Vladimir in their darkest dreams.

Moving down they had reached their uncle’s house, but only to find him away and missing to a gambling debt he owed and wished not to pay. (A lesson he learned in the Lornius Corporate Challenge) Sivienna was a kind and caring sould, pardoning them of her payment they promised to pay.

Weeks later a strange darkness infested Wilfred’s thoughts; thoughts of death, destruction and mayhem. He knew these thoughts were not rational and had to find a way to stop them. In his mind he was losing it, but in the old arts of Black Mages what truly was happening was he was losing his soul. He decided to embark out to Lavinya and find his Uncle Yatari who had extensive knowledge of these things. It wouldn’t be easy, but Wilfred made the journey.

Despite Wilfred’s wishes Dark and Sharon both followed her brother and learned he was captured by a psychic mind reader named Bester, only to find them captured as well. Learning his motives bester wanted Vladimir’s weakness exposed so he could be the Best Knight in all of the Knights of Apocalypse. He tortured Dark and Sharon, and mind raped Wilfred until Wilfred again was able to save the day, reaching deep into the darkness of his heart and cast the spell of death of Bester. The weak minded fool lost his soul to Death, and Wilfred and the others had learned that Bester killed their Uncle.

Upon the pirate Ship captained by a man known as Batista, a distant friend of their Uncle, they held their uncle’s funeral and Wilfred was given a letter written by his uncle intended for Wifred on how to vanquish the darkness in his thoughts and heart. Wilfred learned much from his journey’s, and still had more to learn before he confronted his father again, and challenge Vladimir one last time.

Abilities:
Sharon:
Fire: A weak fire spell that slows down an enemy, can also start stoves and ovens!FIRA Now with proper training, Sharon can use her fire spell to create a small sphere of flame the size of a golf ball. This attack burns like a hot coal, but the effects last only as long.
Sleep: If the opponent is caught off guard, she can lull her opponent to sleep with this spell for a few moments.

Dark:
Blizzard: Dark can summon small cubes of ice to annoy his enemy. Not sharp enough to cause any real damage. BLIZZARAWith proper training in the field Dark can now summon glacial spikes…about the size of a long pithing needle. The damage is equal to a sharp prick but hit enough times can cause major irritation. Has a thirty percent chance that opponent will drop his weapon to tend to pricks.
Slow: If the oppoenet is caught off guard, Dark and slow down the speed of his opponent for two posts.

Wilfred:
Thunder: Wilfred can summon a bolt of lightening to strike from the air, however, where it lands, no one knows. In a highly concentrated area, it is not very likely to hit any indicated targets.
Stop: If the opponent is caught off guard, Wilfred can actually stop his opponent in their tracks and prevent them from moving for one post.
Death: He can only use it once per week. Using almost every last bit of strength and mental energy Wilfred has, he can summon an avatar of death himself to pass judgement on his enemy. To NPC's this has a 35% chance of working. Agaisnt PC'S this will always fail unless okayed by the PC'S owner.

Anyone who loses their soul, (or fails to take someone's) Is left ina state of zombified mush for three days, and when they regain their senses they feel as if a part of them is lost. If a black mage (Wilfred) fails to summon, he remains an emotionless vassel with very little drive to do anything other than retrieve his soul. Anyone may return to haidia to retreive what they lost.

In Wilfred's case, should he lose his soul he must travel to Haidia and face his personal demons to regain his soul. WILFRED CAN NOT CAST SPELLS PERIOD WHILE HE IS "SOULESS".

Thanks to Vladimir's boot, Wilfred Waltz has lost all ability to talk. He is a mute, and can only summon spells during a Blood Trance and then he needs extreame concentration, usually only found when his siblings are in danger.

Items: Each Waltz sibling carries a small oak staff.

Clothes: Each waltz sibling has a normal burlap attire.

Concerning the 'Death' spell, you say that if used against an NPC, it only works if 'they' make it so. But an NPC is a Non Player Character, so how can an NPC determine whether it works or not?

Also, can the Death spell be used against PCs? How does it work, if so?

How da fuck should I know, those were mettalica Angel's restrictions....

Uh, this is what I had originally thought of it, if you like it I'll switch the two out.

Death: Using almost every last bit of strength and mental energy Wilfred has, he can summon an avatar of death himself to pass judgement on his enemy. To NPC's this has a 35% chance of working. Agaisnt PC'S this will always fail unless okayed by the PC'S owner.

i have a feeling this is going to require a lot of work.....

No, the spell is fine because it can't work against other PC's, which was what the big problem was anyway. It's not too much unlike sneaking up behind someone and slitting their throat, really. You can have it always work on NPC's if you like, though, as long as they're your NPC's, ones you've made up.

Anyway, edit that description you just posted into your first post, to replace the other one, and it be all good. Keep the part that says it can only be cast once a week, though.
