Hey folks. I've been trying to write Saxon for over 3-4+ years, and I've failed in almost all of my attempts to start something that'll evolve and let him grow as a character. But, that's all right. I've found that solos just aren't really my thing. I actually need to talk to people and work with them to get things done, because my stories tend to start off well and then spiral off in some weird direction and I lose interest in it.

It dawned on me awhile ago that my stories shouldn't really be about just me and my character. I've always wanted to add a slice to Althanas's already rich canon, and what better way to do that than to try and build it with other folks among the site?

Anyway, part of what I've done over the years was try and write out stories to try and get a pigeon hold on a storyline for Saxon. Most of the ideas failed or became offshoots to different things, but I think I finally found something that would be interesting enough to work for not only Althanas canon, my character, but for other characters as well.

But, here's the idea. I tried writing a story awhile ago in Of Saints and Devils (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?p=131788#post131788) that centered around Corone about 40+ years ago. It was during the times where law and order inside Corone hadn't been quite established yet over the entire country, and a group of religious fanatics known as The Sons of Purity terrorized the countryside attempting to rid the country of anything deemed "unnatural" (magic, anything inhuman, etc.). It'd almost be like if the puritans in New England during the Witch Trials jumped ahead 300+ years during the Great Depression, became the minority and fought against an established government to rid the country entirely of 'undesirables'.

Corone's own government will take a stand several times throughout this storyline and attempt to stomp the Sons out of existence, even going so far as declaring martial law in Radasanth and branching out from there in order to root out the Sons which really seem like terrorists for the time period. But, where the government misses in the onslaught to completely demolish the Sons of Purity, our heroes and the groups they form to fight this war will pick up the pieces.

The setting is more of a late 1800s/1920s kind of feel. Old but new. This will become a conflict that extends for over the past century, whether or not it was recorded in Althanian history. It'll have several stages of events throughout the entire time period (Ex. 75+ years, 50+ years, 40+ years, etc.) and take place all over Corone, and sometimes even off of it.

It seemed like such a neat idea, that when contemplating quitting this character for good and moving onto another one, I just couldn't shake it. I can't think of many other characters I've made that'd be better suited to start this war and help develop and start the groups that will fight it.

Though I never finished the story to start this war in it's first incarnation, I'd like to give it a second attempt with your help. This storyline obviously will be played largely from the past up to the present, but if we can get the foundation down and do most of the work to get this as an established storyline, we might be able to revive the Sons in the present and see what they do there.

This storyline, surprisingly, will be largely in-accessable to a lot of Althanians due to the time setting it's in, or perhaps it won't. But, for the older characters that are 40-75+ years old, this will be a rare treat for you to use your age to your advantage and travel deep into the past to see what might have happened if you participated in this story when you were young.

I'm mostly looking for older folks to do this with, and given the circumstances, this is a story that needs to be flexible. The first thread will probably begin 40 years ago to make it available to more people to get started.

I'm still thinking about the details of how this is all going to work, and how we are going to start off, but if you'd like to chime in with ideas or to brainstorm, either catch me on AIM (Sirusv2ptO), PM me, or just post here.

I'd like to see whose interested in the story overall before I start recruiting for the first story. I'll have an outline of it up in a couple days, but I just wanted to throw this out there so people can think about it while I prepare for the next round of the ToC with Cory.

This catches my eye dude. Except for my Origin story that I'm working on with Lorenor, Lorenor's past isn't that well hyper developed. I think we could work something out for the past story. I'm definitely game for doing a quest of this magnitude and possible repercussions on Althanas. You can count me in dude. I've added you on AIM so we can chat whenever you're on.

Saxon

Thanks for the offer, but I'll pass, Lorenor. I sent you a PM about it. No hard feelings.

------

All right, I've gotten the impression when I posted this a couple days ago that this age rule isn't going to be interpreted how I might have wanted it which was to get some of the participants who were older folks to look back to their golden days when this event took place and what they had done during the time.

Therefore, unless we get some older folks who want to give this a shot I'm making the age rule optional. However, because this quest's set-up has a lot to do with the past and the fact the events will be done in non-linear order, we have the problem of getting people into the past so we can play this conflict out.

So, here's my idea. Somebody or several writers have written journals that have been scattered throughout Corone that take place during the past century and hit heavily on the Sons of Purity in their rise and fall. The journals themselves are nothing special. Leather bound, dated, and filled with inked parchment. However, what they contain is important. The reader of these journals will be taken back to the events they describe in either the presence of the writer or in the writer's place.

Sound confusing? Yeah, I guess it can be. Anyway, if you have any other ideas of how to get your character into the past post them here. As of now I have a brief outline of what the starting quest will be;

Title: Almost Heroes
Slots: 4? (Maybe more depending on amount of interest.)
-Bloodrose (Dropped.)
-Where in the World?
-Slavegirl (Dropped.)
-Inkfinger
-Ataraxis

Synopsis:

Present: An old, long-retired sailor has been murdered at his home in Radasanth and his entire apartment building is burnt to the ground. A bit unusual, but practically buried in the next day's newspaper of events that occurred in the big city. Stranger yet, a week later a select few of men and women scattered across Althanas recieve packages. Some contain cryptic letters, others entire journals from varying authors that date back more than 38 years ago. Upon reading these journals, the reader is sent back to the times that are written and are free to witness, participate, or even alter the events that are about to take place.

38 years ago: During the great food riots that took place during a widespread famine that gripped the entire country, a small pocket of towns and villages across the countryside have begun to quietly speak a name that hasn't been uttered in public for decades-- The Sons of Purity. Though the burden of crushing poverty and starvation has spread all over, these towns have begun to rally support under the banner of a religious group whose hatred for anything unnatural or nonhuman has become legendary.

The Coronian government, sensing the seeds of a rebellion they had thought to have uprooted long ago, deal with the uprising harshly. Declaring these towns to be quarantined from cases of yellow fever, they are isolated and people are beginning to disappear while entire villages are brought under military control, never to be heard from again. However, to the government's dismay containment might no longer be an option. The word of revolution has spread to other towns and cities across the country almost like a virus and the Sons of Purity threaten to rise publically after more than twenty-five years and may start a conflict that could only boil over into a full out civil war.

The chips are down, the history has been already written once, but what side will you take if you were given the chance to change history as we know it?
Slots are now open for the taking. First come, first serve. I'm looking for people that can keep up with the posting, I have a hard enough time doing it myself, so I'd expect those who participate should be comfortable with posting with at least once a day. I understand situations will come up, but if it gets a hand expect a gruesome ending so somebody else can take your slot. Once we've enough participants I will see about opening a chatroom somewhere, maybe mibbit, so we can discuss how we're going to do this.

I'm interested in participating. I'm always game to try and fill empty gaps in Teric's history through RP.

I'm interested.

Huh. Pretty good responses so far, and we have one last slot available, so if anybody is interested and has yet to speak up about joining in now's the time. As soon as we get everybody, I'll post some information on the journals and their writers, set up a time where we can all hop into a chatroom and talk about doing this.

I'm excited to get this thing on the road and see how it works out.

I'd be interested, I have to say. Beyond interested. I just have to figure out how to fit it with Cael without messing up the loose timeline I have for him in my head...

Journals and pretty much any other written thing that our characters read are going to be very important to this storyline, so I figured I'd take some time to explain what exactly they do and some of the more important of the journal writers you'll be 'wearing' when traveling back in time so you guys have something to refer back to when we're questing.

Journals and Time Travel:

Other than older characters who will just be able to remember what happened in the past, Journals will be the other medium for time travel. They're used to travel back in time to a specified point in the past in either the presence of or as the journal writer. How they work is still not really known but they're definitely going to be something you guys are going to want to hang onto through the quests.

Writers:

The journal's writers are as important as the journals themselves. Not only will these journals help you travel back, but the writers also will give you siginificant more power in what you can do in the past, because remember you're going to either be or around the people who wrote this stuff, and they have considerable advantages that'll play big parts in the story (wealth, manpower, influence, timing, etc.), though a lot of what the roles they are meant to play are going to be dotted on later.

How you choose to use the writer whether you are become them or just around them I'm going to leave up to you guys for the first quest or two so you can get used to it.

Each writer will have an amount of reach they're journals have into the past, which means how far you can use those journals to travel back. This is very important since it'll make us have to work together and cooperate more by depending on each other's reach until other mediums of time travel can be found so that you can travel back to the beginning of the century when the Sons were first formed.

Here is a quick summary of some of the writers you're going to be coming in contact with. It'll give you an idea of what you'll be able to look forward to:

Abagail Turner: Dead in the present at 81 years of age - Her journal's reach is up to 43 years into the past. Widow to a rich industry giant in the meatpacking industry. Only started keeping a diary after her husband's death and recorded most of the events in her time that she thought significant, namely the Sons of Purity and how they affected her life. She lives at Turner Manor atop the Grey Rise towards the Coronian coast. She also owns the Turner Slaughter Yards on the northeast side of Radasanth, the biggest slaughterhouse and provider of meat and poultry in the entire country.

Advantage: Wealth. She was worth about 7.8 million crowns (30 million by today's standards) at the time of the past, which given inflation rates at the time makes her ridiculously rich, and almost able to buy and sell up all the businesses/companies in Radasanth three times over.

Sergei Zykov: Imprisoned in Armse Prison in the present at 73 years of age - His journal reaches up to 60 years in the past. A first generation salvic immigrant that becomes the Secretary or leader of the 9th Ward Labor Party, one of the largest worker's unions at the time. He was a hardworking man that grew up with his parents in Corone after escaping Salvar when it plunged into war. He worked his way up the ladder from treasurer to sergeant-at-arms and eventually to secretary when his predecessor dies of heart failure. He kept a journal as soon as he arrived in Corone as a child and has written the events that concern the Sons of Purity. In the past, he spent most of his time at the union headquarters and his estate, both on the south side of Radasanth.

The journal also documents the failed Zykov Revolt, which he had led with eight other unions to try and seize control of Radasanth at a key point in time.

Advantages: Leader/Native. Eventually Sergei will command a union that is comprised of almost 2,000 people, almost all of them Salvic immigrants and refugees who made up most of Radasanth's workers at the time. He has the complete trust and loyalty of the Salvic communities that make up parts of Radasanth, which gives him the manpower and influence to get this labor union to do his bidding. Stopping a lot of the country's industry through labor talks, protecting entire cities, and even starting wars. He speaks fluent Salvic and in the present will only talk to others who can speak it as well.

Lieutenant Jared Keyes: Alive in the present at 65 years of age - His journal reaches 38 years into the past. A lieutenant in the 6th Coronian Cavalary, known by history as the Hero of Lamm for playing a key role in the Battle of Lamm, the fight that became the lynch pin in deciding whether or not Corone would be plunged in civil war. He will press his men through an ambush, thwart his commanding officer's assassination, and will lead his men to victory by attacking the town and forcing the Sons of Purity at the time into a rout.

He kept his journal through most of his military career, but more importantly the entire Battle of Lamm which lasted seven days and the trials/executions of the Son's leaders.

Advantages: Timing. Keyes became a hero largely by having fate and fortune in his favor. He stopped his commanding officer's assassination by accident and cheated death nine times throughout the entire battle. Without Keyes, the Battle of Lamm would've had an entirely different outcome and would've probably caused Corone to go to war. Though much of what he does in the battle is mostly linear, he plays such a giant role in the battle that decisions made by those who influence him or are him will have a tremendous affect on the battle's outcome.
These are just a few examples of some of the writers we will be using, I'll put more in as we go along, but I think for the first quest we'll stick with these three to keep from being overwhelmed.

Our slots are filled up and by now, I think you guys are still figuring out how exactly you're going to be able to fit your characters into this. That's why I want to have a brainstorming session to see how you guys are coming along and so that we can all talk to each other at once. The sooner we have it the sooner we can start, and I think that's something we'd all like to see.

Mibbit (http://www.mibbit.com/chat/) is a good option for a chatroom. I'd like to know when you guys are all available so that we can sit down and talk about this. I've got today and tomorrow off and this weekend I have the evenings free. Let me know what your availablity is.

Almost Heroes (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?p=147151#post147151)

Okay it's up and the stage has been set, so you're all up on deck to post. First posts should consist of you getting your journals or notes a week after the burning, and it'll probably be the only post I ask to have a specific purpose.

The notes or 'cryptic letters' are to be given to the people who are using memories to go back in time. Journals to the youngins who don't have the memories to journey back, you guys choose which journal you want or what information you want the note to have to trigger that nostalgia and get you to think about what happened in the olden days.

I realize that since we're in the past there's a lot of history that needs to be filled in, I'm leaving it up to you guys to describe most of the events. I'll feed ya information on the bigger events when it's needed.

Sorry for the wait, though. Computer broke down so my access is very limited for now, but I'll be trying to keep up.

Does anyone have a preference on who has which journal? It'll help me figure out my liquid time references once we've got that decided.

Bloodrose
04-23-09, 08:44 AM
I'm going with the cryptic letter that cues Teric's own memories route, so I don't have any journal preference.

Just so long as I don't have the old lady's journal, I'll be good to go.

Saxon
04-23-09, 07:28 PM
Slavegirl dropped. We discussed it, but we'll be moving on without her. I'm probably not going to be using a journal for Saxon in the present considering his was burnt in the fire and the only other one the Sons of Purity have. Instead I'll just meet up with you guys with the past version of Saxon and have it go from there. It should be amusing.

Inkfinger
04-23-09, 07:38 PM
Just so long as I don't have the old lady's journal, I'll be good to go.

With that in mind, do you mind if I take Sergei Zykov's? It fits best with my internal continuity, and leaves you Jared Keyes's journal...

So what's going on with those posts, guys? I've heard everything from it's either not coming along at all or it'd be up tonight two nights ago. Can't really move along unless we actually post, and I understand real life complications come up but it'd be nice to know what's going on so those of us waiting to move forward can try and plan around it.

It's certainly been enough time for you guys to think about what you're going to do, right? I'm trying to be generous with the time to post given the volume of information you've all had to swallow, but it's a two-way street. This thread is probably the easiest way we're going to be able to communicate with each other if things come up, so make liberal use of it.

three days of 85-95 weather + small children mobs = oh my giddy aunt I need sleep, and a severe lack of motivation. However today things were much better, and I have a post half-written out. So sorry for the delays. ><

Karuka
04-29-09, 09:45 PM
I'm going to crank one out tonight. I don't promise quality, but it will be up.

I was trying for one last night, but my internet went kaputz. So...barring that happening AGAIN...I'll force one out.

Alydia Ettermire
04-30-09, 08:19 AM
Something else came up last night. I'll work on it later today.

Inkfinger
04-30-09, 09:21 AM
alright; my post is 90% done and ready to post when I get home from work tonight once I figure out two things: is the traveling back instantaneous, or does it happen after they've read a bit? And will they just appear in the past (startling anyone who sees it) or just...be there as if they had always been there?

Saxon
04-30-09, 10:07 AM
I'm actually going to leave the time travel bit up to you guys to figure out. I mean, personally if I were doing it, I'd have Saxon read a bit and then get dizzy and pass out. He'd feel as if he was literally getting pulled into the journal or some place far away. And then, he'd wake up in the past with a headache or something. A small effect that produces large results, I think, but that's just personal preference.

But, I'm not really concerned with how or what you folks come up with to narrate traveling back in time, just that it gets done. I've left the quest open enough where we can all do what we want to do while still concentrating on the main objective, and I think that freedom will be key to doing this quest.

By the way, Bloodrose, how are things looking for you with your post? I don't really have an AIM for you and out of the whole bunch you've been the most quiet.

Bloodrose
04-30-09, 01:19 PM
That's me, mister quiet.

I've been trying to piece together just how I want Teric's personal history to mesh with what we're trying to do here, but once I've got that ironed out with myself I'll be able to get a post out in no time.

Do we want/have a post order, or are we just gonna wing it and work together to keep everyone moving along at roughly the same pace?

Saxon
04-30-09, 01:20 PM
The latter. Just post when you can and we'll try and make it work. No need for a post order, I think.

Inkfinger
05-01-09, 10:21 AM
Alright, got mine up. Didn't think we were supposed to do the cliched "all wind up at the same time same place meeting" type thing (correct me if I am wrong. ;) ) but feel free to spork anything I may have missed. Heh.

I've messaged Karuka and Bloodrose about posting and a deadline they need to meet until I start finding replacements to keep this thread moving. If you guys haven't viewed your messages yet, I would do so immediately.

Thanks.

Saxon
05-16-09, 02:54 PM
All right. One day before the deadline. Have yet to hear from Karuka, but Bloodrose has asked to drop and Ataraxis will be replacing him. If I don't hear by Karuka by tomorrow I'll need to replace her too.

We'll find out what's going on tomorrow.

And that is finally finished. And long. Very long.

Saxon
05-18-09, 02:29 PM
All right. Looks like the only replacement is Ataraxis. After he posts, I will, and we can get into a posting rotation. I"ll be setting up the past in my next post, so it'll give some of you guys a guard rail in case you needed it to figure out what things were like back then.

Saxon
06-01-09, 04:21 PM
Last storybuilding post is up. Sorry for such a long, unexpected wait. Post rotation begins again with Inkfinger. I think I've addressed the majority of the issues with you guys concerning the next set of posts, but I will have something to add here later tonight or tomorrow concerning time stamps and a general outline of the issues in the past that plague Corone for the entire year. It'll be for reference purposes mostly.

Saxon
06-03-09, 12:56 AM
(I know this isn't complete, but since I said I'd get a post up about it yesterday or today I figured I'd show you guys what I have so far and fill in the gaps whenever I have a chance.)

There's some important IC information that we're going to come across soon, and I think the best way to get it across is to give you guys a general outline of the coming months and how events played out in the past. It'll give you something to reference from should you need it. For simplicity's sake the present year will be 2000. All articles of time indicating age are discarded to avoid confusion.

Timeline:

February 1961 -

May 1961 -

July 1961 -

September 1961 -

November 1961 -

January 1962 - A blockade is formed around the coasts of Corone by the Alerarian navy to cut off trade and access to supplies and the seas. Rumors have circulated that this is containment before an invasion in the summer months.

March 1962 - A famine becomes widespread in Corone. Many of those who live in cities die of hunger and accusations are pointed at the Turner Slaughter yards for hoarding food. Negotiations between the Widow Turner and the 9th, 17th, and 30th Ward Labor parties for protection of the Slaughter Yards begin.

Early April 1962 - Riots break out in major cities, the biggest are in Radasanth. The city is set ablaze as residents begin to loot shops, stores and attempt to raid Salvarian neighborhoods and the Turner Slaughter Yards for food. This causes the salvarian communities to band together and attempt to fight back against looters.

Mid April 1962 - The secretaries of the 9th and 30th Ward Labor parties, Dimitriv Kasparov and Roman Lyzinski, accept the Widow Turner's offer and immediately move union members in to protect the slaughter yards. Word of the riots spread to the countryside and small towns begin to store weapons and ammunition.

Late April 1962 - The Coronian Military finally intervenes and declares martial law in all ports and major cities like Radasanth. The food riots are immediately quashed and any resistance within military occupancy is met with lethal force. In whole, the first food riots last for two-and-a-half weeks. Towards the end of April, military occupied cities are locked down as fires are put out and war rations are distributed throughout the community.

Early May 1962 - With order being restored in the cities and the coasts, tensions between the cities and the countryside finally come to a head after it is made known to the public that small towns have been hoarding food. Some riots break out but are quashed by the towns themselves who put their stores of armaments to good use.

Late May 1962 - Riots end as small towns and villages in the countryside begin to band together under the banner of a long dead band of backwoods puritan radicals, The Sons of Purity.

June 1962 - Upon hearing of the Sons of Purity revival and the threat of an uprising becoming a reality, the Coronian Military quarantine small towns under the rumor of an outbreak of yellow fever. These same cities happen to also be at the forefront of the Sons of Purity movement. Many of the leaders or well-known members of the new Sons of Purity disappear without a trace and the towns under military control quickly fall silent.

Late June 1962 - Alerar begins it's invasion of Corone, quickly taking the coasts and ports that offer little resistance. Word of the invasion falls upon deaf ears for everybody except Corone's military as the Sons of Purity gain enormous popularity in the countryside and eventually in the shantytowns and slums of bigger cities. It has become so volatile Corone that civil war is falling on the tips of everyone's tongues.

Early July 1962 - The 6th Coronian Calvary and the 14th/301st/61st Coronian batallions are issued an order to quash an uprising in the town of Lamm. The Sons of Purity have openly attacked soldiers in the streets and have issued the proclamation that their city and it's space are seceding from any sovereign power in Corone. With civil war approaching and the Alerarian war machine slowly taking over Corone one city at a time, all eyes fall to Lamm in whether or not this will be the spark of revolution and boil over into civil war or if the military can successfully crush the revolt and keep Corone united.

Mid July 1962 - The Battle of Lamm is over after a week of bitter fighting as the military sucessfully manages to contain the uprising and Corone stays united. Faith is restored back in the government and it becomes a united effort to push Alerar back and have a chance in winning the war.

August 1962 - After taking more than a third of Corone, every town, city with an able man fight back against Alerar's invasion managing to bring the war machine to a grinding halt. Morale boosts as food and supplies is plundered from Alerar's forces and used to ease the famine now beginning to wane in Corone.

September 1962 - The Coronian Navy which had been spread around outposts and cities across Althanas manage to finally group together and slice through Alerar's blockade and free the seas again for Corone. The northern coast and ports are taken back first, giving the new addition of fresh soldiers a foothold in the country.

November 1962 - As trade is restored and the Coronian Navy and allied nations attempt to ferry in supplies from the seas, supplies are distributed throughout the country and the famine looks to be on it's last leg. Alerar's forces are driven into a rout as bands of soldiers and civillians band together to fight them off, finally breaking the war machine. Alerar issues the order for a retreat back to western and southern coasts where their foothold is the strongest.

October 1962 - The famine ends as Alerar issues the final retreat from Corone's borders, giving the country the time to rebuild and recover from a trying year. Peace and order are restored and cities that had become centers of urban warfare are rebuilt. As the natives of Corone fall back into order, the blame for the famine is put squarely on Salvarian immigrant's shoulders and accusations of hoarding and stealing food quickly become common in most of Corone's newspapers.

Late October 1962 - The new Sons of Purity reform after disbanding in July at the word of the Salvarians being used as a scapegoat for the country's problems. Popularity is gained and things begin to turn sour again in Corone.

Time Stamps:

I've been talking with you guys and when reading your posts I realized that your characters may have arrived months apart. It's an easy fix and it actually molds quite well to the story. At the top of your next post put the month, whether you're in the present or past and where you are. You should probably do this whenever you switch from past to present or vice versa to avoid confusion, but it's really up to you. It's more of a housekeeping issue to keep clarity in the thread then anything really major, so I'd recommend using it at your own discretion.

Alright, I had hoped to have a post up by tonight (as in Thursday) but, uh. Yeah. I had to deal with "AHHH UNAUTHORIZED BUG PRESENCE" (bugs on my bed. I disapprove) and all manner of unexpected tomfoolery tonight. However, my post is half done - I will have it up by this time tomorrow. :D Sorry for the wait!

ETA: Post is up, and I have half of the post I want to make once it's my turn again to bring Cael into "present" Corone. If anything needs changed, feel free to ask and I shall do so to the best of my ability once I am back from Pittsburgh (and my forced internet loss) on Sunday (hooray graduation parties.)

I've had family obligations this week; I'd hoped to get some writing done today only to have to help plan, shop for, decorate for, and execute a surprise party. The chaos ends on Thursday, so I should have something up on Friday or Saturday.

There, finally. Bleh. I can't tell you how many times I lost this post due to my laptop overheating and crashing.

We've hit a bit of a hiccup.

I've talked to Atax who's nearly done with his post and asked him to hold off. I messaged Karuka and asked her to finish up her action sequence for the sake of keeping the flow and making things less clunky. This should've been brought up weeks ago, but I just thought of it in a conversation with Atax today.

So, here's the layout of what we're going to be doing with the next couple of posts:

- Karuka gets 1-2 more posts to finish her action sequence and kill off Keyes.
- Atax will get 1-3 of his own to do what he needs to, though if you don't need these extra posts DON'T DO THEM. The last thing we need is to have unnecessary posts for the sake of fairness.
- I'll be taking 1-2 posts to get Saxon to remember the past and have a past version of him whose being worn by a SoP agent to find one of you. That'll start bringing us together.
- Ink, give me a head's up on what you've got cooked up next and you can have the posts you need to finish that up.

After that, we should be gearing up for the Battle of Lamm. Keep in mind, however, that the Battle of Lamm occurs in July which is months apart from where most of you guys are now. So following the time line make sure your posts can cover the time that has passed from when you arrived to then.

This is all very confusing, I understand and time travel stories are especially confusing in themselves so if you have any questions at all let me know and we'll figure this out together.

Thanks.

It will be a while before I have my post up. I'm trying to get to threads I've owed posts in much longer than this, so Almost Heros is currently last in the queue. That said, I have at least four posts to work (three and two thirds, really, but a third of a post doesn't count) through BEFORE this.

And that's not counting my "write through the block" solo.

Well, we can wait. It needs to be done like this in order to get this done the right way, so take the time you need to get your other obligations in check and then work on this. Just don't dawdle, which I don't think you would anyway but it needs to be said.

Michelle has had internet problems and for the foreseeable future will be unable to connect to the internet. Because of this she has to withdraw from the thread all together.

I figured she was going to pull out since I hadn't seen her after the crash. If this ends up being continued, she'll be written out.

Thanks for the notice.
