The Journey of Lalaam Rowan Forthswind

It is not trouble that I sought as I entered the dripping forest of foulest reds early that morning. I was awake long before the dew even ventured forth to kiss the bloody leaves. The place loomed above me eerily quiet as I had always imagined it. Fear was not an emotion that I felt. What could this damned forest take from me that I had not already lost? My life? Of course, but then I would arrive in heaven and perhaps dear Hadrian would be there awaiting me. Why would I fear such an outcome?
The truth be told, greater men than I have entered these woods and never come out to tell us what their eyes had shown them. But I planned on going in and seeing all. I am Lalaam Rowan Forthswind. I am one of few Seers in my land and I am on a journey. What am I journeying for? I journey to seek what I have lost, I plan to find my dearest Hadrian no matter the cost.
Ceaser Augustus once said 'Veni Vidi Vici', or 'I came, I saw, I conquered' I plan to do that very same, but by my own definitions.
All I took with me that morning was Glendleweise, Hadrian's noble silver mare, and my water aloe dagger. But the most important thing I brought along was my heart and my will. For Hadrian I would brave the unknown and travel all the worlds near and far without fear.

The leaves overhead cast long red shadows across my pale skin. Strange noises rose here and there. Gledleweise never shied away. She was a good loyal horse and once again I was glad that Hadrian had left her to assist me. I shouldered my back again and pressed onward into the glowing red darkness that would soon become the only world I knew. I wondered at the people I might meet on my journey.
