Name: Rahegalhoff Mesquchoku
Age: 23
Heighth: 5'10"
Hair: Permanently turned white by the horrors in The Abyss
Eye Color: Permanently turned Grey by the horrors in The Abyss
Weight: 180 pounds of solid muscle and 10% body fat.
History: Rahegalhoff Mesquchoku was once a farmer, a husband, and a father. He was very good at what he did, and his family loved him dearly. He was content merely to live and die on the farm he tended, raising crops of vegetables and herds of animals year after year. He had only known one Tragedy in recent times. the year before, his young wife Iola, who was only a year younger than Rahegalhoff had given birth to a daughter, but sadly, she was still-born, and beyond the household healing and magic knowledge of Iola. Together with her young son Corin, they put their daughter in a basket and sent her floating down the river, for where they lived, it was believed that Paradise existed at the end of the river, but only the dead could reach it.
For the next year the three lived in peace, without anything special happening to them. Then, approximately one year later, the knight in black armor arrived with a gang of followers.
This stranger demanded room and board for his followers and himself. Rahegalhoff got a sinister feeling from this man, and did not want him or his men under his roof and around his family. He told them to move on, and they simply laughed. The knight snapped his fingers and his followers surrounded Rahegalhoff. He tried, he tried as best as he could, but Rahegalhoff was just a farmer, with no experience fighting anything, except maybe wrestling down the hogs when they broke free, but hog wrestling did not compare to the skill these ten men knew, and as one would expect when it is one untrained man against ten well trained knights, Rahegalhoff was beaten senseless.
He awoke to the sight of his wife and son, both dead and impaled on a white spear inside his burning house. There was nothing he could do, for as he rushed to the well in a vain attempt at putting out the house, it collapsed. Rahegalhoff collapsed as the house collapsed and cried, mourning the sensless loss of his wife and child.
He stayed there long after the house stopped burning, ignoring all things. His crops, his animals, everything. He did not have the heart or the spirit to go on, and simply wished to die, that he might join his family in the paradise at the end of the river. Even when his creatures broke free, desperate to find food, he did not stir, and finally, dying from starvation, slipped into unconiousness.
Many hours later, he stirred, and found himself inside a stone building. He sat up excited, thinking he had made it to the paradise at the end of the river. To his anger and disappointment, he found he had instead been saved by an order of monks dedicated to finding inner peace through the higher powers. Infact, it was one monk known as Brother Albert that had saved him in particular. the other monks seemed to regard Brother Albert as their leader, and for his part, Brother Albert seemed to act it.
Rahegalhoff lived with the monks for one year, during which time he trained extensively with Brother Albert, who was a master of the ways of knighthood. Rahegalhoff had gained a new purpose in life, protecting others from those who would take advantage of them, but the fires of vengeance burned strongly in his heart. On the day of his knighting, the day he left the monks, Brother Albert gave Rahegalhoff one gift, he removed Rahegalhoff from the flow of time, and as such, froze his age forever at 23, however, as a side effect, Rahegalhoff would at times, appear as a very old man indeed. With naught but a simple monks robe and a Steel Longsword that was a gift from the other monks, rahegalhoff set out, looking for the knight in Black armor that slayed his family.

Since setting out to look for his family’s murder, Rahegalhoff has seen one horror after another. First, in an effort to find more information on his family’s killer, he went to a secluded order of monks for help. Possessing the power to send the living to the land of the dead, Rahegalhoff arrived only to discover himself in The Carnival of Lost Souls. There he was taunted and tormented by the attractions, and it was revealed to him that he was infact his family’s murder. This hurt Rahegalhoff terribly, but even worse was the revelation that his own son had built The Carnival and trapped all those within it, making them his slaves. As the Carnival was burned down around them by the gods themselves to restore balance via the never-ending fires of The Pyre, Rahegalhoff fought and slew his own son in an effort to save his own soul, and that of his wife whom he had discovered had taken the form of a snake woman.
Barely escaping being dragged into The Pyre, Rahegalhoff had discovered he had brought his wife along with him. Now called Aspen, she proceeded to accompany him and comfort him in the dark brooding silence that followed his escape from the carnival as he sank into despair over the knowledge that he had killed his only son. He wandered Althanas for some time, before an encounter in a Tavern brought him to a nameless and physically impossible city hidden in the Fallien sands, and there to the attention of an entity known as The Outer Darkness. The Outer Darkness, named Kajeenith, sought to make a follower out of Rahegalhoff, promising him true justice, clouding his soul and his heart with darkness all the while.
To make Rahegalhoff truly powerful, Kajeenith sent Rahegalhoff to The Abyss to retrieve a legendary substance known as Pandemonium. The trip down The Abyss, being exposed to every form of sin there was, revealed the truth to Rahegalhoff, but the real turning point was when he entered the Caverns of Wrath, which housed Pandemonium Fortress in which the very substance he sought was hidden. Faced with his own guilt, his own sins of wrath, Rahegalhoff rejected Kajeenith and his false truth, learning that there were better ways when he touched the Pandemonium and felt its ceaseless hunger for blood and violence sear his mind. Turning to The Omni to truly become a force for justice, Rahegalhoff fled The Abyss with the help of an entity he knew only as the weary traveler.
Special Traits:
Agelessness, timelessness: As a gift from Brother Albert, a person of many talents, the normal flow of time doesn't effect Rahegalhoff. He can still die like anyone else, even dying of old age should he live to be eighty or so, but will forever be as a 23 year old man, at least that's the way it seems for now. Perhaps there is more to this than meets the eye, but if there is, then these additional factors are unknown and inactive, at least for now.
Skills:
Longsword: Brother Albert was a Grand Master of the ways of the Longsword, and taught Rahegalhoff many things, but not everything. His experiences have taught him well thus far.Rahegalhoff is experienced enough to be an adept.
Shield mastery: Rahegalhoff also learned how to use various types of shields, and is knowledgeable in their use, but alas, the monastery had none to spare. But he purchased one from the Bazaar later. Rahegalhoff is above average in Shield usage.
Blade Techniques: Brother Albert knew how to blend the Arcane arts with a sword, resulting in powerful fighting techniques that are all but unrivaled anywhere. He didn't teach those to Rahegalhoff, but he did teach him the basic concept and let Rahegalhoff devise his own techniques. Rahegalhoff can use any Blade Technique he knows, but only has a total of six Blade Techniques per day, which may be divided between his two blade techniques however he sees fit.
>>>Multi-strike: Multi-strike is a skill that lets Rahegalhoff create two ghostly copies of his sword and right hand and arm, which form a sort of trail, following the path of his sword strokes. These ghostly copies deal half the damage of his real sword, and only last for one strike.
>>>Flaming Arc: The Flaming Arc is Rahegalhoff’s first actual magical blade technique. Whereas Multi-strike only uses a little magic to speed up the swing of the blade and create a ghostly copy, Flaming Arc actually sets the blade itself on fire for the duration of one swing or five seconds which ever comes first. If the blade is swung, and it does crash into an enemy, the flame reacts as normal flame, much like hitting them with a torch, only better. If the sword does not hit an opponent, then an arc of flame shoots out of the sword along the trajectory of the swing, and flies for ten feet before disappearing, unless it hits an object or some other such barrier first.
Special! The Flaming Arc degrades the quality of Rahegalhoff’s blades by one step, until ultimately they either shatter due to brittleness, or simply melt.
Equipment:
A common Steel Longsword that could be found in any blacksmith's shop in the world.
Shield: A steel shield with spikes embedded on it. Acquired here (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=7608), along with the studded leather armor mentioned below.
Studded leather armor: normal studded leather armor.
