Weapons, Armor, Equipment Pics

Hey, I would like to know if pictures of items such as weapons, armor, etc, are allowed to be posted. There are tons of pictures of them out there. We could use this as a prop to our storytelling, bazaar shopping, etc.

If the pictures are not allowed to be posted, then we can at least post the link to it, right? This might make real world merchants happy, knowing their goods are getting looked at.

As far as I've seen, there's nothing prohibiting people from posting images. I've seen a fair amount of them lately

The only things I'd say are:

Keep the images confined to your profile when possible so as to avoid cluttering a thread
Don't let an image substitute for a solid verbal description in threads. We are a writing forum, after all.
If you can acquire webspace to link the images from, you may want to, simply for good net etiquette in not hotlinking images
Take care where you are appropriating images from. The internet is full of copyright violations, and this sort of situation is probably fair use*, but it's always best to be considerate when possible.

On that same note. Say for some odd reason I need to post a highly complicated pseudo-scientific algebraic equation, (As Xos my reasons are not all that odd, and fairly common),
Couldn't I draw the equation as an image and post that linked to a website such as Imageshack, instead of writing the equation long form? Writing long form would take several pages with the more advanced equations and give me such a cramp!

I mean, lots of books have illustrated images to go along with them, why not a thread so long as it's relevant?
