Open/Closed

Some threads are labeled open and some are labeled closed. It's pretty easy to figure out what that means, open means anyone can join, closed means they can't. But it seems there are also a few threads that aren't labeled. What is the default assumption here about thoses threads?

Default is closed.

Agreed, unless stated by the author that the thread is opened, always, always assume the thread is closed.
