This thread is to be written in poetry, and poetry alone. If you wish to post here be prepared to write in either Shakespearean, Spencerean, or Petrarchan sonnets only. All posts must be written in iambic pentameter. Good luck!

A call echoed throughout the damp, dark night.
The trees themselves shuddered at the shrill screech.
Jaleco's head rose as he felt it reach.
This beast's piercing scream was one of great fright.

In his mind he knew, something wasn't right.
Jaleco followed the sound; he had to seek,
For the mystery seemed much too unique.
With wings spread wide, he jumped into his flight.

He followed his instincts, set to depart.
The call burst forth from the Southeast once again,
Carrying with it a hint of torture.

Jaleco smirked at mirrors of his heart.
The cry told his tale, placing him in a trance.
To him, the reality did nurture.
