History
Calael’s story is the story of the Universe. He was born isotropic to one part in 100,000 as soon as he could be, of course after the protons and electrons coalesced into Hydrogen. This was a mere 379,000ish years after the Universe itself was born, Calael has vague memories of the before, of the nucleosynthesis event, of the symmetry breaking which led to the standard forces, baryogenesis and even remnants of an idea about the quark gluon plasma. The inflationary period, however, is a very vague one, that part of his memory was too exponentially forgotten as the Universe grew beyond the speeds Calael could reach. Before that there is little to know, perhaps it was the crashing of membranes, the rebounding of a cyclic Universe, the budding off of a new Universe from the eternal froth which underlies them all as the bubble fell out of the false vacuum. Few knew, fewer know today. What is known is that Calael’s slight variations in temperature corresponded, perhaps caused, the distribution of matter seen today though Late Time Anistropies erased some of his finer details, he is not diminished, however, as this is a part of him.
Memories of life before were hard to fathom, their life span was measured in less than nano-seconds, their existence incomprehensible to the future but they thrived and perished with the blistering heat of a Universe in which Calael could not yet be born with the cooling they died out, memories lost and faded. During his earliest days he witnessed frentic life, he was but years old and lived at a blistering 3000 K when life forms of pure energy rose and fell in seconds, civilizations grew as did wisdom but as the Universe, and Calael, cooled they were quietly extinguished. Some knew this would happen and built havens, some helped the future by clumping matter together, few knew what they did or who they were and fewer do now. After the age of energy came that of matter wherein life grew from the coalescing clouds, it was a fast life but not nearly as much as those who came before, the life span of their civilizations were measured in minutes. As the Universe, and Calael, further cooled so too did they die out. Some survived at the cores of their furnaces, most did not. In the present age life was sluggish and lethargic, as before they thought life unlike them was not possible, as before they thought theirs was the only way. The Universe will cool again, however, until not even Calael remains. The need for an escape was clear and with the paltry usable energy which survived Calael along with a few of these ancient peoples decided a means to escape was necessary.
It is due to this he decided to use the remaining energy he had to seek them out, wormholes and blackholes were beyond his current powers. Negative energy was too scarce, the squeezed states of light and the Casimir effect too difficult to maneuver without the aid of the current generation of life. He went from world to world, nothing seemed to help, Althanas seemed like a shining beacon however, he had seen them use a bizarre energy source that seemed beyond the constraints of the cold and empty Universe they inhabited. Perhaps there would lie salvation. But time was running out, already he was but a mere 2.725 K above the zero which cannot be reached.

Manifestation: Calael can become manifest in many places at once. His appearance his highly volatile though he has yet to learn how to appear anything more than a human(oid) figure be it male or female. This manifestation is one of light alone having no physical component save the ability to excite air molecules in a manner consistent with sound. He has yet to learn more than how to initiate speech-type sounds.
Quantum Communicability: Due to his structure, photons, Calael can use microscopic wormholes to communicate almost instantly with any part of himself, furthermore, due to his nature he can actually communicate with his past self to a degree. This degree is not purely random but occasionally he will know things that will happen. (This is to be used in the manner of exploiting liquid time in such a way that for him it will seem almost like synchronous time).
The Old Ones: Not quite a skill but he can occasionally transport ancient forms of life to the world of Althanas for some amount of time. As of yet he can only export the “Neutrino Folk” of the energetic era, and a single being of the “Quark-Gluon plasma” race. These can only interact with him as of yet.

Calael’s local personality is highly variable and seems to correspond to his manifestation. His global personality is one that is highly concerned with the impending end of the Universe and the need to avoid this, this usually trickles down regardless of his current state.
