Name: Francesca
Age: 14
Race: Kalonian (humanoid creature with squirrel ears and tail)
Hair color: black
Eye color: brown
Height: 5’5”
Weight: 121 lbs.
Occupation: elementalist

Personality: For the most part Francesca’s smart yet brash at the same time. She gets along well with most adults, but with kids—well—let’s just say she almost wants to kill them because as a child, other youth would pick on her, but with some children, she’s very trusting. Francesca likes the elements and would go to great lengths to get scrolls and diamonds (they hold familiars for her to use.) to improve her skills as an elementalist. Ironically, she’s easy-going, yet she can’t crack a joke to save her life, but she plays around you if she feels like it. However, when she does battle she gets serious, but her playing does slip out time to time.
What she hates? Chores, especially when she has to clean a herd’s finished business (yes, ha ha), but she really hates it when someone calls her Franny or Frankie. Just causes her to wish she’d punch the person in the nose.
She doesn’t care about other items unless they’re important for something like trading for elemental scrolls, diamonds, or food or if she needs it for survival. She likes gold, but time to time, she gives coins to the destitute because she lived in the slums early in her life.
She enjoys a good challenge from elementalists, but she likes fighting other enemies as well, animal or human and human-like races. She spars her hardest, and when she loses, she’s a fair sport. When fighting for real, however, she tries to kill her opponent quickly as possible, though she uses strategy to accomplish this task. She chooses her battles wisely, so in other words, if she knows she can’t win against an opponent or if a task’s too difficult for her she’ll back down, but she’ll train harder so she can beat the quest or opponent next time.
She enjoys the rural scene more than the urban, especially where there are areas next to the ocean in view. See her anywhere near the ocean and you’ll find her having a good time. To her, oceans relax her, and when she’s in a dire situation, a view of it calms her nerves.
Appearance: A young girl with squirrel ears and tail. Her skin is brown, and she has long black hair, part of it made into a ponytail.
Her clothes? A light-blue sleeveless tunic and breeches with blue cuffs. They’re made of wool. For her shoes, she wears wooly shoes with an oak bottom. That way if she steps on a rock she won’t get hurt.
You can see her carrying a sack of elemental scrolls, food, and gold tied to her waist. On her right hand is a blue gauntlet made of magic iron with a diamond inserted in the center.

History: Francesca’s life has always been hard. To start, she was born in the slums. Her father died after her younger brother, Dante, was born. Francesca grew, and she experienced the harsh reality at a young age. Her mother, an alcoholic, beat her and her brother until her bones fractured or until her insides bled. The elementalists saved her life many times, and it was then Francesca’s interest in the elements grew.
“That’s it!” she said. “An elementalist. That’s what I’ll become.”
Soon, with her mother’s permission, she joined the elementalist school in Roderridge, expecting to impress her mother, but the abuse continued. Once her mother strangled her until she almost died of oxygen deprivation, Francesca decided it was time to act, so she founded a gang of Kalonians, especially those who were beaten. They robbed shops, beaten abusers, and ran over the slums until Francesca became infamous in Roderridge.
Then at the third day of the final exams, the principal came to Francesca and asked her to join him in taking over Roderridge.
“Well I don’t know,” she said. “I mean with the exams and all, how do I know the staff won’t fail or punish me?”
“You won’t fail with me,” the principal said. “All you have to do is steal the diamond in the castle basement. With this we’ll take over Roderridge.”
Francesca thought about it. “This should get me respect from mother,” and with a smile on her face she said, “Yes, I’ll do it.” And so started their truce.
The next day while all the other students fought on their final exam, Francesca and five of her gang members infiltrated the castle doors. They knocked down sentries and busted through doors. They went straight down the stairs and finally the basement. There, in the middle, lay a diamond brighter than any other she saw in her life. “So this is it,” she said. She reached her hand and grabbed it. I should be able to go now with the guards knocked out.
“Francesca!” a voice said.
She turned around with a face rancorous as a bandit being caught, only to see Isaac, her long time nemesis, huffing, his face full of surprise.
“I’d never thought you’d do something like this,” he said.
Francesca’s frowned. “Don’t get in my way.”
“Who do you think you’re doing this for?”
And with a face full of disdain, Francesca shot her ice spear at Isaac. He dodged, and so began their battle. Fireballs. Ice spear. Mini tornadoes. Earth snakes.
“Almost got him,” Francesca said when wham!—instant darkness.
Francesca woke up in a hospital room. A group of elementalists came to her room and said, “You know the consequences for stealing that diamond, don’t ‘cha?” She nodded, and after she healed, the council banished her from Roderridge. If she returned, the elementalists would arrest her, or worst—kill her. So all she packed was a sack of dried fruit, a sack of scrolls, her gauntlet and diamond, and a pendant of her and her brother. I’m glad I’m out of that accursed place, but brother… she thought the instant she glance at Roderridge, the entire population glaring at her, some with disdain, some with snickers on their faces. She took a step when suddenly, “Francesca!” She looked back, only to see her brother. He threw something and she caught it and viewed it. A diamond—Dante’s diamond.
Tears on Francesca’s face became waterfalls, and she smiled. “Thank you, brother.” And with an aura of curiosity and confidence surrounding her, she treaded along the hills filled with tulip, and then—gone behind the hills.
Where did Francesca travel to next? Well she roamed town to town, sometimes staying in inns, sometimes staying in families’ houses. Wherever she stayed though, she made new friends, developed rivalries, gain expertise in many things. For once, I’m happy, she thought.
One day a flyer came and plopped itself on Francesca’s face. Irritated she pulled it off her face, but irritation turned to glee the instant she read it. “An elementalist looking for an apprentice in Saurgord. Go to the log cabin left of the forest to apply.” So Francesca rode to the log cabin by horse and applied for the job, only that the application was a “test,” or so said the elementalist, a man who had a build of an ox. “If you can beat me, than you’ll get the position,” he said. Of course, Francesca agreed, and so they fought.
The battle lasted for thirty minutes, and Francesca found herself inside the cabin. She spotted the elementalist and attempted to get up, but a sharp pin dwelled in her ribs.
“Your ribs broke during the fight,” the man said.
“So I didn’t win,” Francesca said.
The elementalist shook his head. Francesca glared at the floor, her vision fading into a twinkle besieged by darkness.
“But you got the job. Congrats.”
“What?”
The man sat on a chair and leaned on its back. “You see, when the students before you applied for the job, I said to them, `You have to win against me to get the job, ` so they backed down, but you… you agreed to fight me, yet you still lost. That trait—courage—will more likely than not help you succeed in life, just like now.”
Francesca smiled and gave a scream of joy, and so the training began. She sparred against her master, practiced new spells, did chores around the house (though she hated it with a passion), and red to improve her memory. She had the time of her life.
Five years later Francesca packed a sack full of dried fruit, elemental scrolls, and everything else she had when she was banished. “Thank you for everything master Lugh.”
“Thank you,” the man said. “You are now a full-fledged elementalist. Just remember: you still have lots to learn.
“I’ll keep studying. You can count on me.” And with that, Francesca left the log cabin. Francesca travels now, going from town to town, continent to continent. Every now and then she thinks about her brother and wonders if he’s as successful as she is, but she thinks about her new life more. Never shall I forget… Never shall I forget you, my friends.
Of course, she does mercenary work from time to time, but she mostly kicks back and does her own thing.

Skills:

General skills: Cooking something easy as steak/ cleaning/ make a fire with wood/ strategize/ basic surviving skills

Elements:

Francesca is an elementalist; therefore she uses the elements, but how does she use them though? By using a diamond inserted into her gauntlet, she can conduct many elements.

According to the Theory of the Elements, elements reside within everything in the universe. Using them can be useful in any situation, but not without a price. You see, every organism is composed of every element known or unknown to man. When you chant a spell, something from the body must be sacrificed in order to use it fully. The more powerful or longer duration of a spell, the more sacrificial material has to be sacrificed. For instance, if you use an earth spell, bone density must be sacrificed in order to use it. Use too much of one element and you face the consequences of that element.

Francesca knows these elements so far:

Fire
Water
Earth
Wind
Dark
Light
Flora

These are the sacrificial material for each element:

Fire = Body heat
Water = Water from blood
Earth = Bone density
Wind = Oxygen from blood and brain
Dark = Energy from body
Light = Vision
Flora = Skin

Here are the consequences if Francesca uses more than 75% percent of one element:

Fire = Hyperventilation
Water = Dehydration
Earth = Fractures
Wind = Brain Deprivation
Dark = Tiredness
Light = Blindness
Flora = Third-degree burns

Though these sacrificial materials will come back over time or when Francesca eats, if she faces any of the consequences, she can suffer severe conditions or death. She'll knows this when she starts feeling any weakness (around 55% for each element) So as you can see, she has to use them wisely.
Francesca only knows these elements for now, but as she progresses through her journeys and battles, she’ll learn many other elements, their sacrificial requirements, and their spells.

Water spells

Ice spear: A favorite of Francesca’s. When she uses this spell a spear with water attribute forms in Francesca’s hand. When the metal blade (iron) touches flesh (other than the user’s) cold kicks in, so in battle the spear hurts worse than a regular spear. If kept in flesh for about ten minutes frostbite kicks in. Also capable of shooting ice crystals with tapered points, but can only go far as thirty feet and can only pierce up to oak, maybe iron a fourth thick. if she tries ard enough. Uses 30% water per use. Above average with handling it.

Water maiden’s grasp: This spell only works when Francesca touches liquids or solid objects. When she uses this technique ice and inch thick form around an object, although Francesca can only make it a big as a forearm. Uses 20% per use. Average skill.

Earth spells

Earth snake: a slow yet powerful spell. Has a bite about as powerful as a tiger and hard as clay. When Francesca uses this spell a mold of earth in the form of a snake about 8 feet long and 10 inches thick pops up and advances where Francesca commands it to go. It’s slow, moving at about twenty miles per hour, yet it acts like a real snake, so Francesca has to use it wisely. Capable of causing bruises, fractures at best and pierces iron one-eigth thick for now. Better for defense, close range attacks, when you want the higher ground, or fighting huge monsters. Takes about 40% of bone density from the body. Average skill.

Dark spells

Blindness: This can only be used when Francesca touches an organism. This causes a cloud of black smoke to envelope around a person’s head, but this technique is more of a risk: the spell only works 50% of the time, and she can only use it on people at or below her level. Can only blind the person for 4 seconds. Useful as a way to recharge and formulate a new plan. Uses 25% of energy. Average skill when handling it.

Fire Spells

Snap-a-fire: This spell is used to light a small flame. Can be used in battle against smaller creatures, but wouldn't recommand it. Uses 25%of body heat.

Other Skills

Talking to beasts: Francesca has the ability to chat with beasts inside the diamonds when they’re inserted into her gauntlet.

Average in fist fighting.

Equipment: Francesca usually carries a sack of dried fruit and a sack of two elemental scrolls. They usually teach elementalists techniques and spell. Francesca has reading these for a thousand times, and since these are the spells she's already starting with (see above skills), it's time to trade them. These scrolls can be used to sell and trade with shops or other elementalists.
For weaponry Francesca carries a gauntlet with a hole to insert a diamond of her choosing. She has two diamonds—hers and her Brother Dante’s. She can only be equipped with one diamond at a time. According to the Theory of Beast and Diamonds, every diamond contains a supernatural beasts inside them, and when one’s equipped you can summon a beast from that diamond. You can't use it right away since they have to be cut to fit into the groove of the gauntlet and you have to control the beasts. Beasts killed their masters before, so it's an elementalist job to know when and if to use the diamond. Just a matter of finding one diamond and you have your first beast. Francesca’s contains Leviathan, and Dante’s contains Cynere. She uses her gauntlet not for striking opponents, but for conducting spells.

Familiars

Leviathan: the beast inside Francesca’s diamond. A bipedal human-sized lizard, he and Francesca have a strong bond; he’s like the brother she never had. He always gives Francesca advice, and when he’s summoned he’ll get the job done quickly. He’s smart, and when fighting he’ll use his water breath (a technique in which he blasts water from his mouth with the force of a hydro pump.) He also uses his claws. A water type beast.

Cynere: if Leviathan’s the best brother Francesca never had, Cynere is the evil sister. Cynere’s intelligent, but she also has a sociopathic mindset. She usually doesn’t spill advice to Francesca, so they don’t get along well, and when Francesca summons her, she (like Leviathan) gets the job done, but she does things her own way. She has a thirst for blood, and she’ll kill anyone except Francesca (she needs her to roam around the earth) just for the sake of killing. A dryad, Cynere uses a vine whip, and when she’s in a foul mood, she’ll use flora to wipe out her enemies and sprout flora on organisms made of her, thus killing it.
Cynere thinks of everyone—including Francesca—as objects. She also uses her claws and fangs to devour people. Francesca’s afraid she’ll kill her partners, civilians, or someone she has to protect, and even the criminals, so she can’t control her very well. A flora type beast.

Welcome to the site. I'll be helping you out with this profile and getting you approved so you can get on your way to rping on the site.

Skills: What does it mean to 'detoxify poisons'? Also, make sure that your survival skills is minimal at best.

Magic: Please cut down the number of magical spells you have to 5 for now. I'll check which ones you choose and if they're appropriate after that.

For the gauntlets... please don't use the summoning spells at this time. Also, what does it mean to have beasts in the diamonds? Do you capture them? Or they supernatural beasts?

Can you please tell me how many scrolls you have, what they do, and information like that?

Okay, I edited it.

For magic I kept these:

Ice Spear
Water Maiden's Grasp
Earth Snake
Blindness
Snap-a-fire

Her survival skills are still in the beginner level
I deleted the detoxify poisons part

I gave an explanation of the beasts and elemental scrolls in the equipment area.

I can't summon my familiars right now, but I can still keep them as guides, yes? Not saying this whole thing to be rude the whole time, but just wondering.

Thanks for reading my post.

Ice Spear: The spear's 'frostbite' affect should be minor and multiple strikes build the cold damage... a simple strike wouldn't hurt enough unless it's a piercing attack that stays in or something.

Earth Snake: How big is the snake? Does it have any type of damage besides biting or something? How strong is it relatively? As hard as clay or regular snake skin should be it for now.

Blindness: Should be able to be ignored by higher level characters. I'd also like to see it cut down to just a few seconds for now.

Snap-a-fire: I'd like for you to have it so that you can only make a small flame, something akin to what it would take to start a fire, nothing more for now.

Also, the percentages that you have. I assume that's how much it takes from that specific aspect that you specified before the magic. If that's so, how much does it take before something is worn to a point where the weakness is expressed. If it's more than 50% for each spell I'd like if you could make the percentages for each spell higher for now.

The scrolls: I'd like if you'd make them the spells you know for now, and you can only trade these initial ones in for others of equal or lesser spell ability than the spells that are currently known. If you get a new scroll/spell you also have to either quest/battle and receive the new spell as a spoil... or wait till the next level up to use the spell.

You can have the familiars talk to you for now, just don't summon them. That's fine.
