Amoran K. Kol

The Whole

Name: Amoran Kalamanira Kol

Age: She is ancient and knows nothing of time. The events of her past left her void of knowledge; age was lost to her long, long ago.

Race: Some call her a Nymph, some call her an Elf. She frolics in Oak groves and was once spiritually bound to a large Oak tree by the name of 'the Oak Fort'.
(ooc: For comedic purposes, some call her an Elenymph.)

Occupation: Being of a skilled hand, her occupation tends to lay in pencil and parchment. She is an artist of sorts.
(ooc: Ink and parchment are her friends, but give her a feather quill and she’s yours.)

Personality: Her eyes bleed to a deep green and a smile spreads across her lips. She gives you a low, graceful bow and dances away from you playfully. You comment on her odd behavior, “…are you okay?” Her expression suddenly grows cold and her eyes bleed into the color of rose petals, “And who are you to comment on my actions?”

Amoran’s personality depends entirely on her mood. She is proud and seems to not like having her hunting skills challenged. Her moods seem to be level, but she has a habit of becoming easily confused with modern objects- as if there are ‘holes’ in her memory that keep her from understanding certain things about the world around her. This confusion often gives birth to a sort of rage, and she often becomes angry at herself due to her lack of knowledge.

Over all she will greet those she does not know with a smile or a blank, neutral face.

Appearance:

Possessing a toned hour glass figure, she stands at a height of about 5”9. She has long, slender yet muscular legs with sturdy ankles. She tends to wander around without clothing; to her there is no need to hide one’s self. It is considered cowardly in her mind.
Her body is covered in black-line tattoos, each side of her body symmetrical with the other, the tattoos decorate the pale skin of her chest, neck, arms, hands, torso, and legs and seem to refract light rather than reflect it.

Amoran is a being of change, and her body seems to shift with the lunar cycle. At night a light glow emanates from her skin- she can be seen in any dark place, however the glow fades once she steps into moonlight. It cannot be seen in sunlight and does not disappear when she is in the presence of firelight.

Hair Color: Raven black with a hint of visible red undertone. When her hair hits strong direct light- it refracts colors. The most common colors you will see in her hair are blue, violet, green, red, and indigo.

Eye Color: For whatever reason, Amoran’s eye color shifts depending on her mood; the colors in her irises are in constant motion, each color rolling into each other- mixing to create another piece of the spectrum.

Height: Around 5’9”

Weight: 130lbs

History: (ooc: Do I gotta? Oh fine. Okay.)

Amoran fell from a sort of purgatory, a place without true time. In this other life she was a split being, two bodies possessing various aspects of a single mind. In this life, a cold purgatory with broken spirits as residents, she searched for familiarity. Both sides of herself sought out what was most familiar to them. Their memories had passed as the realm shifted and left her mind a blank slate.

How Amoran Kalamanira Kol came to be a split being…is another story.

The Split
"I was of clay, and the earth had molded me, cracked me, and then destroyed me."

Amoran Kalamanira Kol is of an ancient, forgotten race of elven elementalists. Once royalty, her chance at ever becoming what she was born to be was stolen from her after she was captured by a spiteful creature of the earth. Her absence sent her once peaceful race into war against other civilizations. Her homelands fought, sending blame to innocents- slaughtering them for crimes they did not commit.

Her mind was free from the wars fought over her disappearance, the creature that had taken her - a large stone beast, magically bound her to a willow tree that stood in the center of a ancient abandoned battlefield. She was unable to move away from the tree, her spirit was attached to it's roots, to it's soil. Trained deeply in the art of battle, her skill did nothing for her- she was bound completely.

The willow created the effect of immortality, Aged as the tree was as long as it stood and lived, Amoran would as well. Eons passed and still she was bound. Her patience and will had grown weak, Anger flared in her eyes. She would be free from the clutches of this being. Her will grew as the fire within her flickered, and she screamed the name of the beast- summoning it to the field. "You will set me free." Her demands fell empty, the beast laughed aloud- refusing to do as she demanded.

For the first time, her eye color shifted- burning red against the paleness of her tattooed cheeks. The being stared in amazement, and after a long pause, decided to give her one chance. "You must solve a riddle to be set free, your answer will depend on your freedom." The beast's riddle was simple, complex, and confusing all the same. The beast had meant to keep her, but after many days she formulated an answer. This amazed the creature yet again, the being did not know truly who he had in his possesion. "You are still mine." The being's great rumbling voice echoed across the battlefield.

Amoran's anger flared, and she strained against her binding, using every bit of will and power left in her. Every bit of energy her life force could muster, until like a rubber band it snapped with the force of the strain.

"I heard the vague sound of tearing, and the air was sucked out of my lungs. I felt the crack form, and I knew then that I was free- but at what cost? The after blow was like a thousand hammers of force hitting me at once, I felt my skin light with fire as cracks formed along my body. My senses shattered and split into a million different pieces. And as I knew the being fell, I separated and became two."
.
.
.
Shortly after coming to the unforgiving purgatory, the two – Amoran and Kalamanira Kol began to die. It took some very kind commoners to aid them and in doing so- they were spiritually bound to two trees. One was a large Oak tree in a woodland area, and another was a gnarled Growth in a wasteland of desert and dust. The two were to live as long as these two trees were rooted firmly into the ground.

From the moment of their separate bindings, they began to seek out their memories. In doing so- they found figures of their past, reincarnated beings, people the two once knew and loved. With this discovery, memories began to return to them little by little until they both discovered who they once were.

One was a person whom she held dear, a man of treachery, a man of shadows and light who she referred to as “Darkness.”
“You hold the oldest of magicks within your skin.” Her Darkness would say to her, and after a time this grew to be true. The two halves learned the secret to becoming whole and with it came the memories of her life before the timeless purgatory.

Amoran, the whole, soon found her body wrenched from the timeless purgatory- drawn into a hole in time.

“It felt as if the ocean had taken me. The warm rushing water flowed over my limbs, taking me – consuming me into its treacherous embrace. I could not breathe, my eyes were sealed and my limbs were heavy. I had felt this before, and yet… I knew not where I was to wake or who I was to wake to. I only hoped that not everything was left behind, not again. That I could not take. Being thrown from the arms of my dark lord once more, landing alone in the wild unable to remember who I was or where I was. I could only wait for the seductive waves to deliver me..”

Skills: Her skills range from archery, to various forms of art. She is a talented artist and a skilled huntress. Do not challenge her abilities to hunt, or risk facing her wrath.

Elemental ability:
Amoran is in-tune with nature and has the ability to control nature spirits. She can hear the wind and trees speak and understand the hissing language of running water. Though she has many untapped abilities, she recognizes what she can do and what comes natural to her.

(Mythological fun fact: The panther (or leopard) was a totemic symbol of Dionysis, whose priests wore panther-skins. Its name in Greek meant "All-beast" referring to the god as "the All" which was also another beast version of divinity, Pan.
Panthers were much admired in Rome, and were imported from Africa for public displays and games in the arena.

Okay, just make sure not to drown anyone with that water element control, and you're fine.

Approved.

Really...for real. Finally. Approved.
