Since he was $400 million in debt and loved overdosing on drugs and plastic surgery, I'd say he overdosed on some pain killers. Sorta went out Jimmy Hendrix style, only exception being that the drugs were probably legal vs illegal.

What a tasteless (not to mention delayed) way to mark the death of a man who helped shape the music industry and modern music as we know it.

He was a great music icon, no doubt, and he helped to shape the voices of a good majority of today's modern stars. However, not mentioning any negative aspects of his life out of respect has never been something that sits well with me.

Michael Jackson, I never knew the man, only his work, and while his older stuff was always among my favorite music of all time, I never (or should I say rarely) heard anything by him that was new after the late 1990s. Maybe I wasn't looking, but... Good musician, and the only black man in history that I can honestly say I've ever mistaken for a white woman.

Thriller is cool. Recreations of Thriller are cool. Aside from that and the Moonwalk, I know pretty much nothing of his music. What I mostly know him for is the tabloid-fodder later years.

It's kind of annoying that so much time is being spent talking about it. Farrah Fawcett also died, which got about five minutes of attention before the 24-hour Jackson death analysis-athon.

I hope, once everything with debt and property gets settled, that his kids have some inheritance left.
